"Everybody, pay attention!" a man called out.
As he stepped forward, people realised there were many others around him. Accompanied by 10 elite guards and around 20 attendants, he was none other than Varthi’s City Lord’s son, carrying the city’s emblem.
People immediately made way as he walked to the front of the crowd.
"I do hope people recognize me, and if not, then know that I am Varthi’s City Lord’s second son, Ulbert!" the man introduced himself before immediately getting to the point.
"I am here to explain the reason Tilgarth is now getting destroyed. It is because it was indeed a demon-infested city. And not just a small number, but the whole city—from the City Lord to a small bar owner, to even a small child!"
The moment he said that, people gasped in disbelief.
"What? No way... that bartender was such a good man. He can never be a demon..." some people whispered among themselves.
But while a number of people refused to believe his words, the majority were already contemplating them as the truth. People naturally tended to believe a noble’s words.
Ulbert continued.
"You might not be aware, but demons play very discreetly and can live right under your nose without you realising it, until they reveal themselves. A common man has no way of noticing them unless they possess special equipment or tools, so believe me or not, I am speaking the truth."
Ulbert pointed at Patric and the other captives.
"See them? They are also speaking the truth about nearly getting sacrificed. Did you notice them disappearing? No! Because the demons are very cunning and play it smart by targeting people who won’t be missed. And there..."
He pointed towards the twin storms of opposite elements destroying the city.
"The people and saviours who are destroying this corrupted place for us are none other than heroes sent by the great Aurelius Beast Academy. They are here to save weaker people like us so that we can live to tell the tale another day!"
The moment people heard the name Aurelius Beast Academy, they completely started believing Ulbert’s words.
"Ohhh! People from Aurelius Beast Academy? Damn! Are they the new emerging heroes of humanity?"
"Must be! Look at the scale of their attacks! Fuck! I want to be as strong as them..."
This was the influence the academy held across the empire, a single mention about and anything related to them turned into universal truth.
The academies, especially the top three, were incredibly famous. Some people even called the academies’ land the sacred land of heroes that birthed new heroes every year. Naturally, people’s eyes became fervent the moment it was revealed that the people causing the destruction were from one such academy.
Now, that same destruction which had been causing terror had turned into a colourful show of lightning that people watched wholeheartedly.
Of course, Patric’s party also heard the City Lord’s son’s words and were left speechless. Especially Patric. He had actually been attempting to teach someone from an academy his lousy swordsmanship.
He looked towards the twin destructive vortexes that were wiping the city clean like giant brooms.

It was then he realised they didn’t even need to use swords.
Back at Leo and Lily’s location, instead of remaining stationary in one place, they started to move, and along with them, their respective storms moved as well.
Both of them travelled in a clockwise direction, allowing them to cover the two areas that had remained comparatively unharmed.
Pryde once again retreated into the underground flooded tunnels to save himself from the storm, while Agnivar flew out of the city to get beyond its range.
Within a few minutes, every house in the city was obliterated, and every demon was dead.
Leo and Lily slowly began dissolving their storms as the spinning masses of destruction gradually thinned, leaving debris raining down everywhere.
It was quite the sight, seeing the city half-burned and half-submerged in floodwaters, while a ring of flames formed an encampment around it.
When everything vanished, the only things that remained in the sky were two individuals flying towards each other.
As for the situation on the ground...
The single intact thing was the Secret Realm Gate on one area of the city, its bright blue spatial tear completely unscathed by the destructive storms.
Not even the circular walls surrounding the city remained intact. Agni’s flames were still raging wildly, with only a few places were quite where the floodwaters had extinguished them.
Total Destruction.

This was the capability of beings in the 5-star Realm. Lily’s 11,000 Intelligence placed her in the Low 5-star mage category, while Leo was already a proper Low 5-star being.
Of course, it wouldn’t be as efficient or sustainable for others because they lacked the monstrous mana reserves the two possessed. Even Lily had more than half of her mana reserves emptied, while Leo consumed a staggering 550,000 Mana units—nearly double Lily’s cost because he was executing the attack directly without having learned it as a skill, while also undergoing his skill tier’s breakthrough.
But if Leo initiated the same attack next time, it would only require around 250,000 to 300,000 Mana units for the same range, destruction, and duration while also causing far less mental strain. That was the benefit of a learned skill.
And no, nobody could learn skills like Leo and Lily on a whim. It was their high soul rank that allowed them to do so. Normal mages with low soul ranks would have to conjure the ability everytime as if casting for the first time, meaning they would waste more mana and mental capacity every single time.
Leo held Lily’s hand to replenish her mana reserves through their soul bond, and once it was done, they moved towards the Realm Gate to kill the last of the demons inside.
But when they entered, they were surprised to find the entire dome structure destroyed. Sitting atop the rubble, surrounded by multiple corpses, was none other than Shyra, her body at its maximum size of 9 meters.
Many adventurers could be seen trying to peek towards Shyra from a great distance. Nobody dared come close in case she killed them in an instant. They had seen with their own eyes just how ruthless she had been towards the soldiers.
But the moment Shyra spotted Leo and Lily, all the ruthlessness in her eyes disappeared, and she happily bounced towards them like a child eager to show her artwork to her parents.
This marked the end of their mission as the sun gradually descended.
A full 24-day mission, starting on the 15th of March and ending on the evening of the 9th of April.
Leo didn’t bother addressing the people inside the Secret Realm and left after unsummoning Shyra. Outside, Pryde and Agnivar were waiting. The two seemed to be assessing each other with curious eyes, which was quite the sight against the backdrop of the burning city.
"Alright, you both can get acquainted later in the territory. Right now, we don’t have time," Lily said before unsummoning Pryde.
With that, they climbed onto Agni. Seeing him low on mana, Leo fed him some Mana Crystals before taking off towards the refugees’ location.
