Reward: 20 gold coins, plus an additional 4 silver coins per Goblin, 1.5 gold coins per Mutated Goblin, 6 gold coins per adult, 15 gold coins per Quasi-Bronze Goblin.

Mission Brief:

Proceed to the Loran Forest Deep Forest Area and clear out the newly discovered Goblin Settlement #117.

Note: The target is a small-to-medium-sized settlement. There is a possibility of Quasi-Bronze Goblins being present!

An old friend indeed.

’Sure enough, it seems like you can’t take on a mission without Goblins being involved!’

These creatures were numerous but weak, and the rewards were decent. For most Adventurers, they were a choice one could hardly go wrong with.

This was especially true for a Mage like Landon, who loved taking on Goblin Settlement missions and bombarding the Goblins with Magic.

Besides, taking on this kind of mission and eliminating as many Goblins as possible also relieved some of the pressure on Silver Stream City and reduced the likelihood of a larger Goblin army appearing later.

Although clearing out one or two settlements might not have a huge impact, it was still better than doing nothing.

With that, the three missions for this adventure were finalized.

The group went straight to Lena’s counter.

Landon and the others didn’t know anyone at the Association, so it didn’t matter which counter they used to accept the mission. That being the case, Lin Mo naturally had to find a way to secure some benefits for the Little Cat Girl.

After coming to Silver Stream City, Lena’s income had risen and stabilized.

Even without Lin Mo and Ali’s help, she was doing much better than before.

But watching her good friend and Lin Mo grow closer and closer, thinking about how they might occasionally hold hands, hug, or even... even possibly have kissed, Lena felt a strange twinge in her heart.

She was happy for her friend, yet also felt a little empty...

So, after the pressures of daily life had eased, Lena had recently started trying some new things.

With that in mind, she had bought many books and used her time off to try learning skills like blacksmithing, weaving, and planting.

And the results... were just as one might expect. She couldn’t get the hang of blacksmithing at all, but her progress in weaving and planting, as well as cooking, was surprisingly smooth.

’She didn’t have much money now, but once she saved up, maybe she could buy some special soil to grow high-energy vegetables or even medicinal herbs. That way, she could earn money and also be of some small help to Mr. Lin Mo and the others.’

’But the soil needed for growing Special Crops cost a lot of money... The seeds for high-grade fruits, vegetables, and herbs were also expensive, and their cultivation would require continuous investment.’

Every day after work, the Little Cat Girl would count her money on her fingers, calculating how long it would take to afford these things. Though her progress was slow, her days were fulfilling and full of hope.

’I’ve been neglecting her a bit lately, haven’t I...’

He hadn’t helped her too much before, mainly because, first, Lena herself wouldn’t accept it with a clear conscience—it would just put more pressure on her. And second, Lin Mo himself had been tight on cash back then, with many expenses of his own.

’Although he still needed money now, his income was rising and earning it was becoming easier. Maybe it was time to start considering some things.’

Lena hadn’t said anything herself, but the books she’d been buying lately hadn’t escaped the notice of her "roommate," Ali, who had mentioned some of it to him.

Those very high-level crops had effects similar to High-level Magic Beast Meat and were equally expensive.

The same went for Culinary Masters. They could enhance the effects of ingredients through their cooking techniques, creating dishes that, to some extent, could even be compared to certain Alchemy Medicines.

’If Lena was interested in developing in these directions, that was naturally a good thing. She might achieve great things in the future.’

’As for the problem of these Professions being cash-intensive in the early stages... he could help solve part of that.’

’Anyway, in the beginning, it would just be for experimentation and practice, so it shouldn’t cost too much. As for later... by then, Lena would be able to earn some money on her own, and he would only need to subsidize her a little.’
