The benefits of entering a Secret Realm were self-evident.

Lin Mo remembered that the last Treasure Chest he’d found in a Secret Realm contained many other rewards besides basic Gold.

There had been equipment, Flame Reagents, and Magic Stones...

But Secret Realms could also harbor unforeseen dangers. No one knew how many Demons were inside, or how strong they were. Most importantly, a Secret Realm had no fixed exit. If you were unlucky and couldn’t find a way out, you could be trapped inside forever.

Lin Mo’s brow furrowed, making the decision difficult.

He had always followed a safer path, rarely taking the initiative to seek out adventure.

But the current situation was different...

Silver Stream City was facing so many problems that it was difficult for him to simply stand aside.

Flora, Feney, and even City Lord Beixila had all helped him immensely. Feney was his teammate, both now and in the future. With Silver Stream City in peril, he couldn’t just leave, neither for his own sake nor for theirs.

But if he wanted to make a difference in this complicated situation, his current strength was somewhat inadequate.

It wasn’t that he was useless, but what he could do was too limited to change the grand scheme of things.

And entering the Secret Realm would almost certainly allow his strength to grow by leaps and bounds.

Lin Mo looked at the rift before him and finally made his decision.

’I have to go into this Secret Realm. I can’t miss this opportunity!’

But he’d come out alone, with no way to contact anyone back in Silver Stream City. If he was gone for too long, he was afraid Ali and Feney would worry.

But Secret Realms were unpredictable things. There was no telling when it might disappear or change location. If he went back first, he might miss his chance.

"Are you going in?"

Just as Lin Mo was wrestling with his indecision, a voice suddenly sounded from behind, startling him.

He turned his head and saw it was Shefilya.

Lin Mo paused for a moment before asking, "Why are you following me?"

’I honestly had no idea.’

Logically, Shefilya was Feney’s Maid, a protector assigned by Feney’s mother. She had always followed them on their adventures before, but that was because Feney had been with them.

But now Feney was clearly back in the city, focused on her promotion. He had come out alone. ’So why did this maid follow me?’

Shefilya responded coolly, "You are also a target of the mission."

At this point, there was no reason to hide it.

’Mission target... Does she mean I’m someone she has to protect?’

Lin Mo gradually understood. It was likely because his talent was so astonishing that Lady Beixila was worried something might happen to him.

This only strengthened Lin Mo’s resolve to improve his strength and help Silver Stream City through its crisis.

"So, are you planning to go in?"

Shefilya asked again.

Lin Mo nodded. "I was actually forced into a Secret Realm once by accident, and I gained quite a bit from it... I haven’t seen one since. Now that the opportunity is right in front of me, I can’t let it pass."

"Alright."

Shefilya nodded, stepping to a position half a pace behind and to the side of Lin Mo. "I’ll accompany you."

It was only three words, but they made Lin Mo turn to stare, carefully studying the pretty, expressionless face before him.

"But what about Silver Stream City...?"

"The Lady will receive word and inform everyone."

As Shefilya spoke, she held out her hand. A white pigeon soon flew down and landed on her arm.

Shefilya removed a small note from the pigeon’s leg, scribbled a few words on it with swift strokes, and reattached it.

The white pigeon immediately took flight, its speed astonishing.

With that, there was nothing left to worry about.

Lin Mo took a deep breath to steady himself, then slowly stepped into the rift.

Shefilya followed close behind, grabbing the corner of his clothes to prevent any accidents.

Similar to his last time entering a Secret Realm, Lin Mo’s vision went black as his Perception was instantly sealed off.

A moment of absolute emptiness passed in a flash, followed by a dizzying, weightless sensation. He felt the gravity around him vanish and reappear as the world seemed to tumble and spin...

Even with his previous experience, Lin Mo was still unused to the feeling. He shook his head, taking a moment to recover.

He glanced at Shefilya. She was clearly affected too, but even before her vision had fully returned, she had already drawn a Flying Knife from her waist, her body tensed and ready for battle.

’Again, with such disciplined training, she really doesn’t seem like a Maid...’

’More like a retainer, or even a Death Warrior, specially trained from childhood.’

Lin Mo realized that the effects of entering the Secret Realm seemed less severe for him than for Shefilya, and far less than what he had experienced the last time.

’Is it because I have experience now, or is it due to my increased Spiritual Attribute?’

Her senses returned, and Shefilya scanned her surroundings. Only after confirming there was no immediate danger did she relax slightly.

Lin Mo looked at the surrounding scenery. It was extremely familiar. It was indeed the same labyrinthine Secret Realm he had entered last time!

"An Underground Dungeon."

Shefilya’s theoretical knowledge was clearly extensive, as she quickly identified the type of Secret Realm before them.

"And most likely a tomb-type Underground Dungeon."

"If that’s the case, the danger level isn’t considered high."

These man-made Secret Realms were always better than a Demon Holy Land teeming with countless monsters.

After speaking, she turned her gaze to Lin Mo, clearly indicating that he would take the lead from here on out.
