Lin Mo nodded, drew his Black Sword, and walked down the narrow corridor.

Just like his last visit, the walls on both sides were lined with numerous traps. But if those traps were barely effective against him back then, they were certainly nothing to him now.

He didn’t even need Shefilya’s reminders. His keen Insight, combined with the knowledge he had picked up from Assassins, was enough for him to spot the vast majority of the traps in this Secret Realm.

The flying Arrows and suddenly appearing rolling logs posed no threat to him whatsoever.

Soon, he saw a large, dark gray door.

Lin Mo clearly remembered the details of this Secret Realm. A dark gray door represented the classic "Black Iron"—the lowest level of room.

Of course, even so, he couldn’t let his guard down.

He directly used the [Rock Shield Technique] to summon a Shield, then walked to the door and gave it a tentative knock.

A crisp sound echoed in the narrow corridor. Lin Mo immediately shoved the door open and took two steps back.

SWOOSH—!

With that sound, a volley of projectiles smashed against the Heavy Shield in Lin Mo’s hands, but they couldn’t leave so much as a scratch.

After all, this was only a Black Iron Level chamber.

Lin Mo snapped his fingers. A Flame flickered in his hand, then coalesced into a huge Fireball that shot forward.

BOOM—!

With the sound of the [Blast Flame Fireball] exploding, the scene within the chamber came into view.

About twenty greasy-green shorties—the all-too-familiar Goblins.

However, after that single [Blast Flame Fireball], only a few creatures—who could be called either lucky or unlucky—remained, screaming and struggling on the ground with missing limbs.

The Goblins’ shrieks were piercing. Lin Mo strode forward and finished them off one by one.

He didn’t use any Skills. This was a Secret Realm, after all, and they had no idea how long it would take to get out. He needed to conserve both his Qi and Blood and his Magic Power. It wasn’t worth being greedy for a few points of Skill Level.

[Blast Flame Fireball] Skill Level +13

This Skill was quite useful in a Secret Realm. As an Excellent Level Skill, its consumption wasn’t high, but its damage was considerable. Plus, it provided a bit of light.

He pulled a torch from a sconce on the outer wall and searched the chamber for a moment, but found no sign of a Treasure Chest.

’Maybe someone has already been here and taken the Treasure Chest?’

’It seemed there were rooms without Treasure Chests the last time I entered a Secret Realm, too.’

He shook his head. A chamber filled with the sour stench of garbage and the foul odor of Goblins was no place to linger. Since there was no Treasure Chest, Lin Mo continued onward, pushing open the door on the other side.

Before him was a path that forked in two directions.

"A maze?"

That was Shefilya’s first thought. "But inside a Secret Realm, it doesn’t really matter if it’s a maze or not."

After all, the entrances and exits in a Secret Realm follow almost no discernible pattern.

The only problem was which way to go.

Lin Mo remembered that last time, when he came in with Bain and the others, they had settled it with a coin toss. This time...

’Forget it. I’ll just pick a path randomly for now.’

Although Lin Mo had other ideas, there was no need to waste them on these early paths.

’Better to save my Qi and Blood for later.’

So he looked over at Shefilya. "Let’s play rock-paper-scissors."

Shefilya tilted her head, her expression a little dazed.

"Rock-paper-scissors?"

"It’s a little game from my hometown. Simply put, there are three gestures—rock, scissors, and paper—that counter each other. We use it to decide a winner. If you win, we go left. If I win, we go right."

The rules were simple enough, so Shefilya understood quickly.

"Making a decision this way is rather childish..."

Despite her words, she cooperatively held out her hand.

Shefilya threw "paper" and Lin Mo threw "rock," so she won.

Lin Mo headed straight down the left passage.

It was another relatively narrow corridor, though a bit shorter than the first. Because of his increased strength, they traveled quickly and soon arrived before another dark gray door.

He used his still-active Rock Shield to shove open the door. The moment it swung wide, Lin Mo heard a noise from within and immediately threw a [Blast Flame Fireball] inside.

The instant the firelight flared, Lin Mo’s expression darkened.

The monsters in this chamber were Slimes.

Luckily, he reacted quickly, hastily bringing his Rock Shield up in front of him.

The next moment, fragments of Slime, blasted apart by the exploding Fireball, splattered everywhere, coating the entire Rock Shield in goo.

’How disgusting.’

’If I hadn’t reacted so quickly, that stuff would have landed all over me.’

Fortunately, the Slime chamber was much cleaner than the Goblin one and didn’t have that foul stench.

Moreover, after searching the spacious chamber for a bit, Lin Mo successfully found a Treasure Chest.

Not far from the Treasure Chest, scattered bones were visible—likely the remains of Adventurers who had entered the Secret Realm out of greed or by accident.

Shefilya also looked at the Treasure Chest in Lin Mo’s hands with great interest.

On the dark gray chest, a red, beast-like insignia slowly faded away.

"It’s a Treasure Chest with a Magic Seal?"

Lin Mo gave it a try, but even with his current strength, he was unable to force the Treasure Chest open.

He waited until the insignia had completely vanished before trying again, and this time, it opened with ease.
