Chapter 323 - 187: Emergency Call-up Order, The Impending War

Sponsored

[Requirements]: None

[Objectives]: 1. Frontline Defense: To repel the Goblin invasion, City Lord Beixila has already established three defensive lines outside the city. Each line is equipped with corresponding camp facilities and defensive fortifications. Join the frontline defense to resist the Goblin Army’s direct assault.

2. Special Operations: In addition to the main battlefield, special operations teams are needed to respond to potential Goblin surprise attacks. These teams will carry out missions including, but not limited to, assassinating special targets and performing sabotage behind enemy lines.

3. Rescue Squads: Many innocent civilians may be affected by this siege. Rescue squads will be responsible for rescuing and escorting civilians to safety, as well as engaging and holding back any potential pursuers.

Note: Mission objectives are not mandatory. Participants may switch objectives under reasonable circumstances but must obtain permission from the relevant personnel in charge.

This Call-up Order alone showed that Silver Stream City’s leadership had a rather solid understanding of this war. They knew exactly what preparations were needed and what situations might arise, and their division of labor was crystal clear.

As for Lin Mo’s thoughts... ’Since the mission objectives can be changed anyway, I’m not in a hurry to decide. I can just play it by ear when the time comes.’

After reading the contents of the call-up, the next part was naturally the most important—the pay and rewards.

[Rewards]: 1. Quest Completion: All Adventurers who participate in the Call-up Order will be credited with completing one E Level Task. Those with greater contributions may be credited with two, three, or even a D Level Task.

2. Monetary Rewards: A reward of 2 Silver Coins will be issued for each Goblin killed. If an individual kills more than 50, the rate increases to 3 Silver Coins per Goblin. For more than 100, it becomes 4 Silver Coins. For more than 300, it’s 6 Silver Coins, and for over 1,000, it’s 10 Silver Coins! The reward for a sub-adult Mutated Goblin is 2.5 Gold Coins, and for an adult, 8 Gold Coins!

For targets Level 2 and above: Level 2 Goblins are worth 15 Gold Coins, Level 3 Goblins are worth 30 Gold Coins, Level 4 Goblins are worth 60 Gold Coins, and each Level 5 Goblin kill is rewarded with 150 Gold Coins!

Special Bounties for Goblin Lords: There are currently 3 known Lord Level Silver Goblins. One is Level 7, one is Level 9, and the last is a Middle Tier Lord Level Demon!

Bounty for the Level 7 Silver Goblin: 1,000 Gold Coins!

Bounty for the Level 9 Silver Goblin: 2,000 Gold Coins!

Bounty for the Middle Tier Lord Goblin: 5,000 Gold Coins!

Note: This is only the bounty amount. The value of the Silver Goblin’s materials will be calculated separately.

Additionally: Any weapons and equipment recovered from Goblins in battle belong to the one who killed them. Furthermore, by participating in this Call-up Order, Warriors, Knights, and Assassins will receive one free weapon repair. Rangers will receive a free supply of basic arrows. Mages and Priests may claim a number of free Basic Magic Potions equal to their Level!

’They’re being this generous?!’

Lin Mo was a little stunned as he looked at the long list of rewards.

You have to understand, repairing a good weapon costs a lot of money.

For example, an Excellence Level weapon requires a corresponding Blue Quality Repair Fluid, and a single repair costs more than 50 Gold Coins!

Ordinary weapons weren’t as expensive, but they still cost a bit, usually around 5-10% of the weapon’s own value.

It was also great that Rangers got free arrows.

And it was even more outrageous for Magic Professions—they could get Magic Potions directly!

As a Level 5 Mage, Lin Mo could directly claim five bottles of Magic Potions, worth 125 Gold Coins. It was a complete freebie!

’But on second thought,’ he mused, ’compared to the impact a Level 5 Mage can have in battle, an expense of 125 Gold Coins doesn’t seem like much at all.’

But the rewards didn’t stop there.

Besides the basic Gold Coin rewards, there were of course other incentives. If they didn’t offer something good, they wouldn’t be able to attract any truly powerful experts to the battle.

3. Special Rewards: Those who make outstanding contributions in any of the mission objective areas can receive additional rewards, including: equipment ranging from Excellent Level to Excellence Level, Skill Scrolls from Ordinary Level to Excellence Level, and titles from Third-class to First Class Honorary Baron of the Kingdom!

To be honest, looking at these kinds of rewards now, Lin Mo’s mentality had already changed.

Before, it was about shearing the sheep, but now that he was practically family with Feney, he couldn’t help but feel a pang of sympathy for their expenses.

But these were all necessary expenses. As long as they could overcome this crisis, no price was too high to pay.

Besides, if they truly won, Silver Stream City stood to gain from it.

For instance, there were the tangible and intangible gains from liquidating the Lawrence Clan, as well as rewards from the Kingdom, and so on.

The publication of this lengthy Call-up Order also triggered a series of heated discussions in the Adventurer’s Association.

Lin Mo paid some attention to the chatter. Generally speaking, the vast majority of Adventurers were quite satisfied with the terms and were very willing to participate.

In situations like this, Adventurers were arguably the easiest external support for local lords to hire.

After all, Adventurers lived dangerous lives day to day. The dangers of the battlefield weren’t necessarily much greater than what they were used to.

Moreover, these people possessed considerable strength and abundant combat experience, making them the perfect "reinforcements."

At the very end of the Call-up Order, Lin Mo checked the estimated time for the war... or rather, for the Goblins to launch their first wave of attack.

It was written there in plain text: Estimated before 7 p.m. tonight.
