He repeated this cycle. After three casts, it took two casts of Healing Technique to gain a point of skill level. As he continued, the gains slowed more and more.

The same was true for Resilience, but Earth Shield Skill was not significantly affected.

A little over an hour later, Lin Mo held out his hand, stopping Shefilya just as she was about to strike.

"Alright, that’s enough."

His Magic Power and Spirit were both significantly depleted, so there was no need to continue.

He had to go adventuring tomorrow and needed to be in peak condition for the upcoming tasks.

Besides, he had made substantial gains.

First, there was his new skill, Healing Technique. Though leveling it got progressively slower, he still managed to raise it to Level 2.

Next up was [Earth Shield Skill]. It had also improved significantly, reaching a skill level of (89/100), not far from its next level and evolution.

Finally, there was [Resilience]. The skill had just managed to gain a level, which was the very reason Lin Mo had decided to stop practicing.

[Resilience] Level 4 (0/100): Bolsters your defense, reducing the physical damage taken from the next three attacks by 24.5%.

Compared to its Level 1 version, the damage reduction from Level 4 Resilience had increased from 20% to 24.5%—a decent improvement.

Of course, the main benefits were the 3 points of Constitution and the upcoming choice of an Evolutionary Path.

Evolutionary Path 1: Damage Reflect II: 60% of the damage mitigated by the [Resilience] skill will be reflected back to the attacker.

Evolutionary Path 2: Guardian I: The [Resilience] skill can be used on other targets at the cost of the user’s own Qi and Blood, with the effect reduced to 40% of the original.

As with his previous skills, the benefit of upgrading an evolution to its second level wasn’t particularly great. The first path only offered an increase from the 40% it would have had at level one to 60%—not a huge jump.

He might as well choose the second path for the added utility.

And so, without further hesitation, Lin Mo chose the second path.

With that, all his preparations were complete. All that was left was to set out tomorrow for the next series of tasks.

Lin Mo cast [Clear Stream Technique] on himself and headed for his room to rest, pulling up his full status panel as he walked.
