That’s right, this Skill Scroll had a prerequisite.

Learning Requirement: Profession—Holy Knight.

"What kind of Profession is a Holy Knight? I’ve never heard of it before."

Lin Mo asked, quite curious.

"Young man, you must have heard plenty of advice on your journey, telling you to focus on mastering a single Profession."

Lin Mo nodded. He had indeed heard similar words more than once, starting with Bain, and even Flora had said as much.

"If you don’t succeed on the first try, it doesn’t matter. This change can occur during every subsequent major rank-up—that is, from Elite to Extraordinary, and from Extraordinary to Hero—and the probability increases each time."

"The new Professions that branch off are different from the standard ones. They aren’t necessarily much stronger, but they all have their own unique characteristics."

According to Bishop Fletcher, this was an extremely rare event with a very high threshold.

The starting point was advancing from Veteran to Elite, which meant reaching Level 11, and even then, the chance of success was minuscule.

If it failed, one would have to wait until they advanced from Elite to Extraordinary to get a second chance.

For most Professionals, this was an unreachable goal, a lifetime away.

You could say that the vast majority of people only ever get one chance at a Profession Advancement!

It was normal that such an extremely rare occurrence wasn’t widely discussed among the ranks of low-level Adventurers.

After all, it had nothing to do with 99.99% of the Adventurers on the Continent.

So, what was a Special Profession Advancement?

And not just for show—they truly progressed in parallel, raising both Professions to impressive Levels and achieving a profound understanding of both."

"And among these geniuses, an even smaller, exceptionally lucky few, by a stroke of fortune, have had their two Professions undergo a wondrous fusion during the advancement process... they merge into one, giving birth to an even more powerful, special Profession!"

"The Holy Knight I spoke of is one such case."

He shook his head. "The probability of such a Special Profession Advancement is minuscule, so rare that it is unknown to the general populace. Even the tales woven by Minstrels rarely mention it. Only a handful of the most widely knowledgeable Minstrels have heard the rumors... I myself only learned of it when I stumbled upon this Skill Scroll in a Secret Realm during my middle years. Only then did I consult the Church’s extensive archives and find the relevant information."

"The Church’s records mention that the last Professional to become a Holy Knight was named Joan of Arc."

Lin Mo was stunned. He was very familiar with that name.

"This Joan of Arc... is she a woman?"
