Age of Adepts

Chapter 0892 - Soul Fusion

After months of not seeing her, Emelia had gotten a little prettier.

Compared to Mary's hotness and Alice's mystery, Emelia had a strange, ethereal, ghostly flavor.

From the outside, Emelia is a fourteen or fifteen-year-old girl with long, soft green hair and delicate, small features that always wear a wisp of a wicked smile. A straw green vine weave trailing gown, with a beautiful flower garland on top of her head, bare hands, long fingers, long nails coated with green phoenix juice, looking voluptuous and beautiful.

With the maturity of her heart, Emelia was no longer as out of order as she had been as a young child, elegant and quiet, greeting Grim respectfully as soon as she entered, and then standing quietly behind Gargamel in a pestle, not liking to talk much.

That...seemed a bit out of character with her past!

The beautiful Emelia and the aging, balding Gargamel stood together, making it hard to believe they were father and daughter, the contrast in looks was outrageous.

Grim narrowed his eyes, the chip had been silently probing and scanning her body data ever since Emelia had entered the room. By virtue of the two-step difference, the natural barrier around Emelia's body that was infused with the fragrance of grass and greenery couldn't block the chip's detection waves at all, and the information that came back also made Grim's brows tighten.

"Drops, target creature base scan in progress..."

"Name: Emelia

Ethnicity: unknown

Creature Level: Peak Level 1

Occupational status: Nature Shaman

Body Base Data: Strength 6 Physique 9 Agility 7 Spirit 19

......."

A series of detections were assembled together to construct a body model of a young and beautiful nature witch in Grim's mind. But when the model scanned Emelia's legs, it turned directly into a scattered and disordered pile of garbled code, as if there was something odd there that was blocking the chip from detecting the ripples.

Grim smiled mildly.

"Emelia, from what your father says, you seem to be having...some problems lately?"

Emelia stepped forward, gave Gargamel a glance with no kindness, and said indifferently, "Nothing serious, just a little problem with the body fusion, I can fix it myself!"

Grim's smile was softer.

"So...can I see it?"

Emelia gave a helpless grin, knowing that she could not refuse the 'request' of the householder before her, and could only gently lift the hem of her green robe. Surprisingly, what caught the eye was not a pair of beautiful young girl's tiny feet, but a mass of twisted octopus tentacle-like roots.

The roots were not large, but dazzlingly thin and numerous.

They were clustered around each other, twisting and squirming, living like a terrifying hundred-clawed octopus... What surprised Grim even more was that the skin of these roots was almost translucent, and the greenish-white juice flowing slowly inside could be clearly seen.

And as they moved and stretched, stars of natural light lingered and swirled around the roots. If you ignore their appearance, it was as beautiful as a dream garden.

This plant transformation started from the lower legs, the upper half of which was still a fair and plump human girl's thighs, while from the knees, it diverged into hundreds of strange plant-like roots that were twisted together. But these fibrous feet were also apparently under Emelia's control, and did not affect her living or walking.

"Did this phenomenon also occur when Ava was growing up?" Grim asked offhandedly to Gargamel.

The withered and wrinkled-faced Gargamel shook his head and sighed bitterly, obviously very worried about Emelia's health.

After all, this vegetation had been going on for some time now.

In the beginning it was just the feet that were affected, differentiating into the dreaded roots. As Gargamel and Ava panicked and searched around for books to find the cause, this phytolysis had extended to the knees.

Now, some thick green veins were also appearing on Emelia's formerly fair and plump thighs, and it was clear that they were also on the eve of a differentiation shift. If she didn't find a way to stop this phytochemical trend, it was clear that Emelia would completely turn into an inhuman alien within a year.

Although the wizarding world did not reject the foreign shamans, these foreign shamans were never able to integrate into the mainstream ranks of the mainly human shamans. This also caused them to have a much harder time acquiring knowledge and trading resources than normal human shamans on their future growth path.

Since even Forest Demon Ava found the current Emelia a bit strange, this was a clear indication that the little girl's growth was far beyond the control and understanding of the two of them. Otherwise, with how much they loved Emelia, how would they have come here to ask for help from Gremlin Witch.

But compared to Gargamel's trepidation and distress, Emmelia herself was quite calm.

For this reason, Grim had to throw Gargamel out and have a frank and open 'talk' with this Emelia.

When Gargamel left hesitantly, Grim stared coldly at Emelia with a conditioned grin on his face.

"Gargamel is my man, and Ava has served the Crimson family for so many years that it's necessary for me to defend their interests as head of the house. Whether you are Emelia or a something else, let's be honest about it! Otherwise..."

Having said that, a pale red burning field had covered 'Emelia', with dazzling flames hovering 2 meters behind her, flaming streams surging and tongues of fire swallowing, a look of choosing and devouring.

With Emelia's strength of no more than 1st rank, as soon as the burning field closed in, she wouldn't even be able to hold back three flexes before she would turn into a puff of flying ash.

"I am Emelia..." this green-haired, purple-pupiled girl looked straight into Grim's eyes and said with earnest intent.

"Then let go of the soul protection and let me inspect it myself!"

"...and Yara's soul fusion!"

"........"

"Please believe me, I am the daughter of Gargamel and Ava! It's just... it's just... I've fused another foreign soul..."

"Fusion..." repeated Grim, his eyes squinting tighter.

"Yes, a fusion...not a devouring!" Emelia stressed once more.

"Let go of your soul, I must examine it myself!"

Naturally, Emelia knew that this was something that was bound to happen, so she could only helplessly let go of her mind and let Grim's mental tentacles with a hint of burning breath extend into her mental sea.

Like a red-hot iron rod reaching into her brain and stirring it to death inside, Emelia's body trembled and her eyes rolled up, tortured to death. But she could only endure, allowing the other party to slowly rummage through her mental sea of consciousness for what she wanted.

This kind of painful experience was simply not something ordinary people could endure!

Therefore, most sorcery that searched for knowledge and extracted memories would cause irreversible and severe mental damage to the recipient. Even if the sorcery succeeds, the recipient will either go insane or die!

Emelia, on the other hand, was fortunate to be a sorcerer, and her mental toughness was already more than a hundred times that of an ordinary person after decades of exercise, plus Grim's 'light touch', which was why she hadn't turned into an idiot.

When Grim's mental strength carefully withdrew from Emelia's mental sea of consciousness, she was already drenched in cold sweat, lying down on the floor with a strong twitch.

"Now... now... you... phase... believe me ...up...it!" A clearly brief sentence, but Emelia's words were broken and feeble.

She was lying on top of the floor, her body curled up into a lobster, with hundreds of thin, stringy roots writhing and strangling wildly beneath her.

Grim was silently chanting.

The green-haired, purple-pupiled girl was right, there had indeed once been two separate souls in this body. Now, however, they were perfectly fused together and could no longer be distinguished from one another.

Again, it was fusion, not devouring!

According to her earlier statement, one of the souls should be Emelia, the hybrid descendant of Gargamel and Ava, while the other would be Yara, the strange alien soul. If it was Yara's soul that had directly devoured Emelia, then there was no doubt that Grim would have killed her without mercy.

But now it was the two souls fused together, Emelia was Yara, Yara was Emelia, and the two were no longer distinguishable from each other. This was...a bit of a dilemma!

While Grim was examining the green-haired, purple-pupil girl's soul, the outside of his dwelling was already in an uproar. It seemed that someone was frantically attacking the residence's door, cracking the door protected by the Defense Witch Formation.

Grim hesitated and finally waved his hand to release the protective restraint of the residence's gate.

With a loud pop, the gate opened and the forest demon Ava rushed in from outside with her cape, some blood could be faintly seen on her body.

That was the damage caused by the Dwelling's protective restraint backfiring on itself to her.

If Grim hadn't sensed it early and cut off the protective restraint's self-counterattack, I'm afraid her injuries would have been even worse.

How could the personal dwelling of a 3rd rank sorcerer be so easy to break into!

As soon as she barged into the dwelling and saw Emelia, who was lying on the floor convulsing in pain, the forest demon Ava lunged at her, cradling her in her arms, hissing and screaming at Grim.

"What have you done to her? If anything bad happens to my daughter, I'll fight you to the death..."

Gargamel followed nosily into the dwelling, a fierce tug on Ava.

"You mustn't be impulsive...today...I begged my lord for this..."

With a muffled crack, a turquoise tree whip whipped Gargamel into a catty fight, and he fell on his back on the ground with his mouth Shen Mouth Now unable to get up.

"If...if anything happens to our daughter, I...you won't be able to live..."

Grim sat leisurely in his chair, silently observing the family antics.

It was the green-haired, purple-pupiled Emelia who finally stopped Ava.

When the three members of Gargamel's family left in a mess, Grim couldn't help but squint and mutter, "Princess Spore? Kind of interesting..."
