Age of Adepts

Chapter 1526 - Primordial Flame

Looking up to Ehrenwald is like looking up to a perfect world!

This strange feeling was difficult for anyone who had not experienced it to understand.

The spiritual will of the other party was also as grand and sublime as the bit plane consciousness, giving people a sense of vastness, profundity and greatness that arose from within when facing the ocean. It was as if what Grim was facing at this moment was no longer a person, a lonely life form, but a new world that was perfectly harmonious and contained a complete system within its body.......

Grim bowed his head.

It was not oppressed by the other party's powerful spiritual might, nor was it Grim's attempt to appear as his own respectful submission, but a heartfelt admiration and respect.

As if he had first touched the original will of the Wizard World!

The sense of belonging from body, mind and soul to soul and the warm feeling like returning to his mother's body still reminded him of it.

As for the shaman he was facing now, although the breath of life that spread out from him was not as wide and deep as the real world, but the feeling of lofty admiration was the same.

The rules were self-consistent, the world was round, the cycle of life was endless....

Grim bowed his head earnestly and sincerely.

"Boy, here we are again!" The sorcerer didn't seem to speak either, but his grand and majestic voice had echoed in Grim's mind.

It was indeed not the first time the two of them had met.

The last time was back when Grim was on his way back from the Otherworldly Realm after carrying out a mission for the Arcane Empire, when he suffered unexpected interference from a fellow traveler and almost died in an inter-dimensional teleportation. At that time, if it wasn't for the help of this Ehrenwald Grand Sorcerer, there wouldn't be the current Grim.

Thus, seeing the other party speak, Grim hurriedly replied respectfully, "I hadn't thanked your lordship for your help last time, Grim felt guilty."

"Hmph, there's nothing to thank or not. I just don't like it when certain guys reach out too far and meddle in my territory!" The sorcerer snorted lightly and sunbathed, "I can't believe your life is really big enough to have survived the hatred of that slutty* person Misa, and a great stroke of luck..."

Grim didn't know how to answer this question, and could only bow down and listen to the other's 'lecture'.

"Well, there's no need for us to play riddles. You do know what I mean by transferring you here, right?"

"It's for those shards of the Godhead?" Grim 'tested' the question.

"Well, I'm glad you know!" Irunwald heeded, "After fighting those orc pups for so long, I still haven't saved up enough shards of the Divine Grid to make a 7th Order Sorcerer..."

The other party had already spoken so directly, so Grim had little room to turn the tables and could only accompany the smile and ask softly, "I wonder how many shards of the divine grid your lord needs?"

"Ten of them!"

10 fragments of the Godhead would also mean one complete Godhead.

Throwing such a treasure to even the dumbest and most incompetent guy in the world, he would be able to be crowned a true god with this and become able to live and die with the world. Therefore, its significance was so great that even with Grim's sanity and determination, he was somewhat hesitant.

"Hmph, little one, do you think that my lord, as a 7th rank Grand Sorcerer, will take your treasure for nothing?" Irunwald seemed to have seen Grim's hesitation, and with a sneer, he said, "We witches all uphold the principle of fair trade, so naturally I won't make an exception. Just take a look..."

With a wave of his hand, three one-meter-diameter transparent bubbles suddenly appeared before Grim's eyes, each carrying a gloriously wondrous object floating inside.

"These are some of my collectibles, they should be able to fit your use. You can pick any one of them and consider it as a good exchange for us!"

Hearing the other party's words, Grim's heart trembled lightly.

A 7th rank Grand Sorcerer's collection, that was a rare treasure to be found for a thousand years!

He immediately polished his eyes and scanned them one by one.

Floating in the first bubble was a piece of strange metal the size of a fist, shining with a ghostly purple mane, and the breath that came through was odd and unusual, making it hard to measure.

Seemingly sensing where Grim was looking, Irunwald spoke up.

"It's a piece of Starfall Divine Iron! Don't think its name is cheesy, but the power is great. It's a curiosity obtained after condensing and concentrating an entire bit of the continent, and using it to quench the body can immediately raise the immortal body of a Body Tempering Sorcerer by two levels. As for... a rule sorcerer like you, no matter how bad your previous physique was, you can immediately raise it to 50 points!"

50 points of physique... wouldn't that be reaching the level of a 5th level Body Refining Sorcerer!

That's a dramatic improvement over Grim's current 35 points!

However, the other party clearly hadn't finished speaking.

"Furthermore, after quenching your physique with this Starfall Divine Iron, your physique will be immune to all negative enchanting effects. On the battlefield, any curses, enchantments and sorceries that cut your physique will be ineffective against you!"

Sheesh....

Grim sucked in a breath of cold air, and once again, the eyes that looked at the strange metal were filled with an unconcealed possession of valley of arrears.

Although he belonged to the Rule Sorcerer, his most important physical attribute was spirit. But after all, he still had the Star Beast bloodline, and if he could improve his physique wildly, I'm sure the Devilfish Transformation would become a regular battle tactic in the future!

Grim kept flowing with thoughts, but it was undoubtedly unwise to make a hasty decision after only looking at one. Therefore, with great determination, he turned his head towards the second bubble.

There, floating there was a mass of black slime that was twisting and struggling wildly like a grotesque liquid monster....

Allowing the chip to penetrate and scan, I'm sorry, accessing and discerning no useful information. It also means that the item in front of you clearly does not belong to the high level resources that a 5th level Grand Sorcerer has access to.

"This is the Original Liquid of Destruction, which I extracted from an orc deity itself, and contains a large amount of Destruction Divinity and part of the Destruction Priesthood. If you're lucky enough to use it to quench your spirit, you might be able to obtain some special powers related to destruction..."

Destruction....

Grim bowed his head in thought and chanted.

With the foundation rules of the World of the Gods, the Flame Rule did fall under the Destruction Domain, a branch of its power. If the chip was able to thoroughly parse this Destruction Primordial, it would indeed be able to increase the power of its flames by quite a bit.

However, out of curiosity, Grim still forced himself to look at the third bubble.

There was only a strand of strange flame the size of a finger's stomach floating inside, and it was changing colors and transmuting power properties as the flame burned without ceasing....

"This is the Primordial Flame, a special rule flame that contains all the basic flame rules needed to create a world of fire... It's a must for the Rule Fire Witch to continue climbing upwards!" Ehrenwald said quietly.

"I'll take it!" Grim made his decision without hesitation.

As a Fire Sorcerer and a Rule Sorcerer, facing this kind of top-grade resource that could directly affect his future growth height, of course he had to take it at the first opportunity.

As for the first two items, they were forcibly banished from Grim's mind.

The world was so big, and there were countless all kinds of strange treasures, as long as one could grow up and tread through thousands of mountains and the multiverse, one would always be able to find all kinds of treasures.

Greedy for more!

It was better to work more on one's flame talent for future growth.

Seemingly not surprised by Grim's choice, Irunwald waved his hand and put away the other two bubbles, while letting that bubble slowly fly in front of Grim with the original fire wrapped in its tendrils.

But the proto-fire was still wrapped in the bubble.

Grim would bite, pulling out a crystal-clear divinity from his bosom and pushing it towards Irunwald with outstretched hands.

With a wave of the latter's hand, the divine medallion flew into its palm.

After playing with it for a moment and examining its properties to make sure they were correct, the Irunwald Wizard clicked his finger and the bubble floating in front of Grim shattered silently.

As soon as the air bubble broke, the original fire came into contact with the outside atmosphere, and the flames around it immediately soared. The layers of absorbed flame energy added to it like a layer of armor, giving it the momentum that a star could start a prairie fire.

Grim knew that this kind of high level rule flames were extremely spiritual. Once it found a flaw, it could slip out of his hands at any time.

Therefore, with a large hand, he didn't care about the various strange flame effects, and straightaway fished out the Primordial Flame from the small sea of fire, then swallowed it in one gulp.

Such a treasure, he wouldn't feel safe placing it anywhere, he might as well earn it in the Heart of Rule and suppress it with the Fire God Pearl to be the safest!

"All right, kid. Now that the deal is done, I'm sending you out! As a reward for you still being sensible, this is my sorcery seal, so take it. Whether it's in this Giant Rock War Fortress, or in Camp Esoda, I can cover you. That way no one will dare to force or oppress you!"

Receiving a metal and copper medallion thrown over by Irunwald, sensing the special sorcery scent on it that belonged exclusively to him, Grim couldn't help but reveal a hint of ecstasy on his face.

"Thank you, my lord!"

"It's nothing, it's the reward you deserve!"

With that, Irunwald waved his hand, and Grim once again felt the strange spatial disorientation of the spinning earth. Only after his mind stabilized did he realize that he was back within his original residence.

"Chip, detect the original fire..."

"Drip, full testing has now begun...please subject wait!"

After a long and torturous wait, it took a full three days before the chip's detection results were completely projected.

"Drop, one Strange Rule Fire was found..."

"Fifty-three basic flame rules detected within..."

"There are thirty-seven known flame rules and sixteen unknown flame rules..."

"A sample of the rules for the unknown flame is being extracted..."

So much for....

Grim couldn't help but lick his lips in anticipation at the chip's report!
