Chapter 1575: Part 2: Meeting Both Masters
Healing Palace
Master Ann saw Zack Lockwood coming. A bright smile appeared on her face. She had already received the message from Main Elder Austin. Five female Black Mark Warriors were around her.
"Master, someone is coming," a young female disciple said.
"He is not just someone, but your senior brother. His name is Zack Lockwood," Ann said.
Gasp!
Hearing that, the five of them exclaimed in surprise.
But Ann didn’t mind them. Rather, a storm was brewing in her heart. She felt a sudden sense of crisis.
Her eyes widened in disbelief, because she had previously only felt such pressure from faction leaders.
Now, she was facing such pressure from her own disciple. She remained quiet for some time.
I walked up to her and greeted her.
"Master, how are you doing?"
"Zack, you have really opened my eyes today," she said with a heavy sigh.
"Master, what do you mean?" I asked.
Ann shook her head and realized that the new disciples were still beside her.
She said, "Your strength has grown."
The new disciples felt the unknown pressure weighing down on them. They broke into a cold sweat.
Master Ann immediately shielded them. Soon, they broke free from the overwhelming pressure.
"You have grown so much that you don’t even realize you are releasing this pressure," Ann said in a stern tone.
Hearing that, I didn’t know what to say. Next, I paid attention to my strength and tried to conceal it. Then, I was able to control it somewhat.
Seeing that, Ann’s eyes flashed with approval.
"Now, it looks good," Ann said.
"You girls go back to your residence and practice the healing technique," Ann instructed.
Hearing that, the five disciples nodded their heads and looked toward me in shock before leaving.
Right then, Master Ann asked me to sit down.
I sat down in the chair opposite her.
"Tell me, how long are you going to stay here?" Ann asked.
"Each time you come here, your strength has grown beyond one rank," she added.
"I don’t know. Dean Jerome didn’t tell me anything," I replied.
"Then if you are free tomorrow, I have work for you," she said in a serious tone.
Hearing that, my eyebrows furrowed.
"Elder, what is this about?" I asked.
"I don’t know whether you heard it from Main Elder Austin or not. Right now, our clinic is filled with injured warriors."
"Most of them are afflicted with dark energy. We lack expert healers in sufficient numbers. If you can help tomorrow, it will reduce our burden," Ann requested.
Hearing that, I didn’t know what to say. I hadn’t healed others in a long time. In fact, I had never healed anyone else. My healing technique was all about healing myself.
Ann saw Zack Lockwood’s doubtful expression.
She said, "I know you haven’t practiced healing others, but I believe you have another healing technique called Healing Hand."
Hearing that, my heart stirred.
"Yes, but I have used it only for internal injuries," I replied.
"Then you can try using the technique to heal others tomorrow," she said.
If she was asking me for help, she had to be under immense pressure.
"Okay, Master," I replied.
"Then you should come to the clinic in the morning," Ann said.
I agreed to that. Then we spoke about a few other things.
After spending twenty minutes in discussion with her, I left the Healing Palace. Next, I thought of visiting the Virtual Training Lab.
I wondered how old man Daniel and the others were doing right now. I headed straight toward the exit.
On the way, I came across several members. They all looked at me. I thought someone would recognize me, but it didn’t happen at all.
Soon, I reached the exit. I walked out of the gate and started heading toward the Virtual Training Lab. The path reminded me of old memories where I fought against the outer hall and inner hall warriors.
None of them stood a chance against me during that time. It didn’t take long for me to reach the Virtual Training Lab. On the way, I did encounter warriors from other factions.
But because of my aura, they walked away from me. No one approached me. I collected my thoughts and walked up to the door of the Virtual Training Lab.
Creak!
I heard a loud shout coming from inside. I opened the door and stepped in. A commotion was taking place.
"You in the Virtual Training Lab are using fake data!"
"You are fooling us! You are doing nothing but eating away at campus resources!"
Two Elemental Faction warriors were shouting at the staff. Old man Daniel was trying to solve the problem.
"If you don’t provide answers, then we will smash this fake lab," another person threatened.
My gaze swept across the four warriors there. They were all Silver Mark Warriors.
"I would like to see who’s going to do that," I said in a calm tone.
Hearing that, everyone turned toward me. Old man Daniel and the rest of the staff saw me, and their eyes widened in disbelief. They didn’t expect to see Zack Lockwood here.
They were excited the next moment.
"Who are you?"
"Don’t interfere in the Elemental Faction’s affairs," one of them warned.
Hearing that, I let out a chuckle and said, "You had better go and ask your seniors about me. My name is Zack Lockwood."
After saying that, I released a slight amount of pressure.
Boom!
All four of them were instantly forced onto their knees. They felt as though a huge mountain were pressing down on their backs. If this continued, their bones could break.
Seeing that, I withdrew the pressure.
Gasp!
The next second, they started gasping for breath.
"Get lost," I told them.
Hearing that, the four warriors felt absolute terror. Their legs lost all strength, yet they somehow dragged their bodies outside before fleeing from the place.
Swoosh!
In the blink of an eye, they were gone.
Next, I turned toward old man Daniel and the staff. A bright smile appeared on my face.
