Chapter 1576: Part 1: A Walk Around Campus
Virtual Training Lab
Old Man Daniel and the staff took a few seconds to collect their thoughts.
"Zack Lockwood!"
Old Man Daniel and the staff exclaimed in surprise at the same time. Old Man Daniel appeared before me in a flash.
I had already controlled my strength so that it could not affect him in any way.
Next, the staff surrounded me. I saw familiar faces.
Silence!
There was a brief silence. Old Man Daniel was observing me from top to bottom.
His eyes flashed with surprise. He could not see through the strength of Zack Lockwood. He had been keeping up with updates on Zack Lockwood.
He had heard from the core hall warriors admitted to the medical clinic that Zack Lockwood had become a Purple Mark Warrior. But everyone felt it was absurd.
Because Zack Lockwood’s progress was too fast. It had not been that many years since Zack Lockwood joined Star University.
But Old Man Daniel believed the rumour now. He could not see through the strength, but he believed his instincts.
Similarly, the staff tried to see through the strength of Zack Lockwood, but they failed.
"Zack, tell me. What’s your strength right now?" Old Man Daniel asked.
The staff’s gaze fell on me as well.
Hearing that, I said, "I’m a Purple Mark Warrior."
Gasp!
A low exclamation occurred.
"So the rumours were true. Your strength really reached the Purple Mark Rank. We had heard it before, but we found it hard to believe. Now we have seen it with our own eyes," Old Man Daniel said.
"The rumours are true indeed," he added.
The staff supported the statement as well.
"So what happened to Ronnie Seth?" I asked.
"The last time I saw him, he was a Gold Mark Warrior. I don’t know whether he has broken through to Purple Mark Warrior or not," Old Man Daniel said.
"Where is he right now?" I asked.
"He is not here. He is at one of those warrior camps," Old Man Daniel replied.
Hearing that, my eyes flashed with understanding. Ronnie Seth’s black lightning was powerful. It was normal for him to be at the warrior camps.
I didn’t know whether he had come across the horned elites or not.
Old Man Daniel saw that Zack Lockwood was in deep thought.
He said, "Don’t think too much. He will be fine. He has powerful black lightning as well."
Hearing that, I collected my thoughts and nodded to the old man.
"You are right. I’m thinking too much," I said to Old Man Daniel.
Then I sat on a nearby chair and began to chat.
"So how is it going?"
"Are there any warriors interested in training with the Virtual Avatar?" I asked.
"After your fame grew, many people used our facility. So much so that we were forced to take shifts. But the warriors stopped coming in large numbers after your departure from campus," one of the staff said.
"I think it’s thanks to you that the Virtual Training Lab is running. Otherwise, I don’t think the Dean would have continued to fund it," Old Man Daniel said.
Hearing that, I understood the situation and said, "Don’t worry, I’ll ask the Dean to find a way to continue to run it."
Those words brought a bright smile to the staff’s faces. Old Man Daniel smiled as well.
The discussion continued for over an hour.
Then I decided to leave. I stood up and looked toward them.
"It’s time for me to leave. I don’t know when I will come back. I hope you guys will be well. If you guys ever face a problem, you can contact Main Elder Austin and Ann. They will help you out," I said to them.
"Don’t worry. The elemental factions don’t bother us anymore. The Dark Variant Faction used to cause headaches, but they have a new faction leader now," Old Man Daniel said.
Hearing that, I was not surprised. I had heard about it as well. The previous faction leader, Vince, was taken out.
I believed Dean Jerome was behind it. Then I turned toward Old Man Daniel and the staff. I thought of Ronnie Seth.
"Okay. If Ronnie Seth comes back, tell him that I asked about him," I said to them.
"I’ll tell him," Old Man Daniel said with a smile.
"Zack Lockwood, take care of yourself," one of the staff said.
And then the others followed suit.
I smiled and bid goodbye to them. After walking out of the Virtual Training Lab, I thought of other places. I didn’t have that many friends.
I only knew Ronnie Seth and the Virtual Training Lab people outside the Thunderflame Faction territory. I guess from the beginning, I didn’t spend much time here on campus.
Next, I collected my thoughts and began to take a walk around the camps. As time passed, I walked past the territory of the elemental factions.
I saw many Black Mark Warriors and Silver Mark Warriors on the footpath. They were elemental faction warriors, but none of them recognised me.
I walked past them and reached the territory of the Bloodline Factions. The two Bloodline Factions were located side by side.
I observed the building of the Human Bloodline Faction. There were warriors coming and going.
Swoosh!
While I was observing them, someone appeared before me in a flash. I raised my head and saw that the person was Faction Leader Francesca.
"Faction Leader, what are you doing here?" I asked.
"I was observing the whole campus, but I didn’t expect to see you right in front of my faction. Come with me." After saying that, she was about to grab my shoulder.
But I moved away in a flash.
"I’m faster than before," I replied.
Her eyes flashed with surprise. She then used her flight ability to appear in mid air. Seeing that, I followed her.
She was heading to her office. I followed her from behind.
The warriors at the gate were stunned by the scene. They didn’t know what had happened; they just saw their faction leader talk to someone.
Then she left with the person. Not many people were there, so it didn’t become a big discussion.
