Chapter 1564: All alone in the boundary
Boundary No. 5
I looked at the injured warriors and the others. I saw fear in their eyes. They were not ready to attack me again.
"You are out of your mind," the other warriors scolded their friend.
Hearing the scolding, the broad-shouldered warrior was terrified. He saw that Zack Lockwood was looking at him. He was afraid to make eye contact.
His friends then led him away from the spot. In the blink of an eye, the place was empty.
I watched their backs as they left the place. I didn’t expect one of them to lose his mind. I could only say that the situation would become worse in the upcoming days.
I didn’t think the foreign creature would make things any easier.
Next, I turned around and walked back to my room. I was no longer in the mood to take a walk.
Compared to previous times, the time interval between battles was long in the boundary.
So the warriors would have enough time to recover from their injuries. The other warriors would have time to train hard and improve themselves.
But the atmosphere was different this time in Boundary No. 5. Everyone was thinking about the deaths that had happened previously.
They were afraid that Death Fang might appear next time.
So most of the warriors were having doubts in their minds. If there was any opportunity, they wanted to return. That very day, many learned about the broad-shouldered warrior’s incident.
It made others change their minds as well. Instead of carrying hatred towards Zack Lockwood, it was better for them to make a formal request to Dean Jerome.
That evening, the Purple Mark Guard returned once again. The barrier covering the boundary opened. It was felt by the warriors staying there.
Swoosh!
Stella and the others came out. She was surprised to see the Purple Mark Guard again. But there were other warriors who were happy. They celebrated the fact that their request was heard.
Next, they began walking towards the gap in the barrier. This time their number was large. Fewer than eight warriors remained, including the Bloodline Warrior, Stella.
Stella and the others looked at each other. To be honest, there was no point for them to be there. Seven of them couldn’t fight against the foreign creatures in the boundary.
If Death Fang appeared again, it could easily sweep through all seven of them.
Even though they trusted Zack Lockwood, they couldn’t be sure every time that Zack Lockwood could fight against the powerful creature alone.
"This is going to be trouble," Stella said to herself.
The Purple Mark Guard saw that only seven of them remained, including Zack Lockwood. His eyes flashed with seriousness.
He looked towards Stella and said, "Your master wants you out as well."
"What?" Stella uttered in surprise.
The Purple Mark Guard nodded his head. He then explained that the Bloodline Faction Leader wanted her disciple out of Boundary No. 5.
Stella was shocked to the core. Her master was none other than Faction Leader Francesca Ball. She didn’t expect her master to call her back.
She then made a decision before taking a step forward. She knew the risk as well. She couldn’t be of help to Zack Lockwood.
She couldn’t defeat the Horned Humanoid Creature, let alone fight against Death Fang.
She knew her reality. She was no match for the foreign elite races. She walked up to the exit as well. Seeing her, the other warriors were stunned.
The remaining veterans were relying on Stella because they knew she was an expert. She could defeat other Purple Mark experts as well. The only exceptions were those elite races.
Seeing her go back, the remaining five warriors were afraid to fight alongside Zack Lockwood. They were no match for the elite races. If the elite races were to target them, then they would die for sure.
Swoosh!
The five of them followed Stella out of the barrier.
The Purple Mark Guard was not surprised. He knew the danger of Death Fang. He then understood that Zack Lockwood was the only one remaining in the place.
"Where is he?" he asked Stella.
Stella understood that he meant Zack Lockwood.
"I don’t know. He must be doing isolated training," Stella said.
Hearing that, the Purple Mark Guard decided to inform him in person.
"You guys wait for me." After saying that, the Purple Mark Guard went inside.
He knew Zack Lockwood’s room. He quickly arrived in front of the tent and knocked on the door.
Inside the room, I was resting on the sofa. I heard the sound of knocking on the door. I opened my eyes and stood up from the sofa.
I walked up to the door. I didn’t know who was knocking on the door.
Creak!
The door opened. Then I saw a familiar face standing outside. The person was none other than the Purple Mark Guard.
"Elder, what are you doing here?" I asked.
The Purple Mark Guard’s eyes flashed with seriousness.
He said, "Zack Lockwood, you will be alone in Boundary No. 5. Dean Jerome had already predicted this outcome. He wants to know whether you want to leave Boundary No. 5 or not."
Hearing that, I was taken aback. I didn’t expect such a thing.
"What about the others?" I asked back.
"Everyone else wants to leave. They are afraid to stay here," the Purple Mark Guard replied.
Then I made my decision. I looked at the Purple Mark Guard and said, "No, I’m good. I have decided to stay here."
The Purple Mark Guard was not surprised. He knew about Zack Lockwood. Zack Lockwood’s strength far surpassed the elders.
He then nodded his head before leaving the place. Seeing that, I followed behind him. Then I saw that the warriors were waiting outside, including the Bloodline Warrior, Stella.
I didn’t expect her to leave. Then I thought of Death Fang and understood something.
Clearly, they didn’t want to take a risk. If they stayed here, the chances of them dying were higher. I didn’t say anything to them. Then I spoke to the Purple Mark Guard before going back to the tent.
The Purple Mark Guard trusted that Zack Lockwood could face the threat alone. Not only that, but he knew Dean Jerome must have a plan.
