Chapter 1604: Part 1: The Council’s Shock

United City (Tier-3 Sub-Post)

One after another, the warriors were coming back from the secret lands. There was not one, but ten secret land battlefields in the Tier-3 Sub-Post.

But their condition did not look good. They had fought a fierce battle.

In each secret land, more than 200 Red Mark Warriors fought against the corrupted beasts. The casualty rate used to be similar across all the secret lands.

At least, there would be a loss of 10 or 20 Red Mark Warriors each time, and the injured would make up large numbers.

But this time it was worse. The attack from the foreign creatures was heavy this time.

Except for the first secret land, the other nine secret lands had lost at least 50 Red Mark Warriors. The injured warriors numbered more than a hundred.

The losses in the first secret land were fewer than 20.

The black flying foreign creatures were merciless this time. They had attacked fiercely. They had the advantage in numbers as well.

But the Red Mark Warriors in the first secret land were fortunate.

They had Zack Lockwood, who took care of the threat. He alone had killed the majority of the foreign creatures.

The remaining one or two might have been killed by the veterans. The number of people returning from the first secret land remained almost the same.

There were injured warriors as well. They were taken to the medical clinic immediately. But the people from the other secret lands noticed the difference.

The number of injured people was much lower in the first secret land.

Marcus and his team members came to the shore as well. They saw the condition of the Red Mark Warriors from the other secret lands.

His expression turned grave. After asking around, he found out about the situation.

Gulp!

Marcus gulped in fear. They had escaped because of Zack Lockwood. Otherwise, the casualty rate in the first secret land would have been higher as well.

Marcus then left the place with his members. The shock was too much for him. They had all underestimated Zack Lockwood.

He should not be targeted at all. If he stayed, he would become a nightmare for the foreign creatures. The death rate on their side would be reduced as well.

On the other hand, Reece and his friends came to the shore. They too learned what had happened in the other secret lands.

"We were lucky," Reece commented.

"I didn’t expect the death toll to increase," the heavily built warrior said.

"Not everyone can kill Red Mark Foreign Creatures in one move," the female warrior said.

Then the lean warrior among them commented.

"I think we should not think about troubling the young man," he said.

Hearing that, the three of them turned around and looked at him.

"I made that decision in the puppet hall itself," the female warrior said.

"It’s the same with me," Reece said.

"I changed my mind after seeing his slaughter inside the battlefield," the heavily built warrior said.

The friends looked at each other and let out a laugh. Then they left the place as well.

Meanwhile,

Julia and her friends had similar expressions. They had thought about recruiting Zack Lockwood into their team.

In the end, all the Red Mark Warriors had joined together with him to fight against the foreign creatures.

It was the complete opposite of what they had imagined.

They could tell that no one could trouble Zack Lockwood hereafter. He had already shown his strength.

If he could kill a hundred Red Mark Foreign Creatures with ease, then he could kill human Red Mark Warriors just as easily.

Julia and her friends began heading toward their residence.

At the same time, the hundreds of Red Mark Warriors who had fought alongside Zack Lockwood couldn’t keep the secret.

They began to share the news about Zack Lockwood. Zack Lockwood had done something that was going to be forever etched in their minds.

They didn’t know when the foreign creatures had last been so helpless. They were being slaughtered one-sidedly by a Human Warrior.

And that Human Warrior happened to be a Purple Mark Warrior, not a Red Mark Warrior.

It didn’t take long for the media houses to report on the secret land battlefields. The news anchors were discussing the results, the injured, and the death toll.

The news about Zack Lockwood had yet to reach them. Otherwise, they would have aired it right away. But it was only a matter of time.

Meanwhile,

The council elders had gathered and were ready to receive the reports.

Each time a battle against the foreign creatures came to an end, there would be a meeting to discuss the reports. A similar thing took place on the foreign creatures’ planet as well.

Among the elders, Elder Rowena was present as well. Usually, she would go through the reports without much interest.

Because every time, it would be the same news. They would suffer more than the enemy side. Very rarely had they achieved a complete victory.

It didn’t take long for the reports to arrive. There were elders who were monitoring the secret lands as well. They had seen everything that happened inside the ten secret lands.

Not just one elder, but multiple elders were responsible for the reports of each secret land.

The elders responsible for the first secret land took more time to prepare their report than the elders of the other secret lands.

Because what they had witnessed was nothing short of shocking. It completely overturned their imagination.

But they were professionals, so they finished the report quickly and sent it with the other reports.

In the council, the ten reports arrived. Each elder received one copy. More than 20 elders were present; the numbers were not fixed.

Since battles against the foreign creatures were constant, some elders could lose their lives on the battlefield, so everyone shared the responsibility.

Elder Rowena took the copy of the report for the first secret land. She had heard from Marie that she saw Zack Lockwood entering the first secret land.

She opened the pages and began reading. It didn’t take long for her eyes to widen in surprise.

She stopped reading and looked at the others. She saw everyone having the same reaction.

At first, she thought the report was wrong. But how could an elder send a false report to the council?

So, the information in the report was true.
