I soon found a way and started walking along it. At the same time, my mental power scanned the terrain ahead. I spotted the Red Mark Warriors.

They were heading straight ahead. Seeing that, I used my flight ability. The next moment, I felt a heavy pressure weigh down on me.

Boom!

The heavy pressure forced me to land on the ground.

"What’s going on?" I asked myself.

"There seems to be some kind of ban here," the ancient spirit’s voice sounded.

"You are awake?" I asked in disbelief.

"I’m always awake," the ancient spirit’s voice replied.

"Then guide me through this place," I said to the ancient spirit in my mind.

"Okay. Follow my directions. You will find the foreign creatures before the Red Mark Warriors," the ancient spirit’s voice said.

Hearing that, I followed the voice. Soon, I emerged from the rocky terrain filled with plants and reached flat land.

Ahead, I saw the Red Mark Warriors. They were fighting against a foreign creature flying in the sky. The foreign creature was black in color with a long tail at the back.

It also had two wings the size of its long tail. The foreign creature was more than 20 meters in length.

Swoosh!

I stopped moving and continued to observe the flying foreign creature. It was my first time encountering a flying-type foreign creature.

"This strange foreign creature is extremely fast," the ancient spirit’s voice said.

Hearing that, I focused on the battle ahead.

Swoosh!

One moment, the flying creatures were hovering in mid-air, but the next second, they attacked the Red Mark Warriors. I spotted several warriors thrown from their positions.

I could even see several severed arms and legs flying sideways. Blood splattered across the ground. The scene looked bloody.

"Get used to it. You will face far worse than this," the ancient spirit’s voice sounded.

Hearing that, I collected my thoughts and began to circulate the purple lightning power. A purple film covered both of my hands.

Seeing that, I dispersed the purple lightning film from my left hand and tried to extend the purple lightning power only up to my right index finger.

After doing that, I raised my head and looked toward the flying foreign creatures. It was time to intervene, so I rushed forward from my hiding spot.

Soon, I got closer to the battle area. Fierce fighting was taking place there. I observed the surroundings before looking toward the sky.

There were more than a hundred flying foreign creatures in the sky. I looked at them before locking onto one.

I raised my hand and set my target.

"Lightning Condensed Finger!"

I unleashed the lightning attack. A purple lightning ball began to manifest at the tip of my index finger, forming on top of the purple lightning film.

This was an experimental method. The condensed finger was already an experiment, but I had improved it over time.

It didn’t take long for the dense lightning ball to form. I used the thin purple lightning film to cover the lightning ball.

I had been worried, but as I saw the purple lightning film envelop it, my mouth curved into an arc.

The ancient spirit was quite surprised. It hadn’t expected Zack Lockwood to achieve such a massive improvement in his new power.

It believed it wouldn’t be long before the other Inheritance powers showed similar improvements.

Boom!

I fired at the flying foreign creature. The powerful beam attack pulsed forward at breakneck speed.

In the blink of an eye, the attack struck the flying foreign creature. The beam pierced through its body before exiting in a flash.

All of this happened within seconds.

Boom!

A powerful detonation occurred following the attack. The purple lightning electrocuted the black flying foreign creature in mid-air.

Screech!

The flying foreign creature let out a strange cry. It was being roasted in mid-air, frantically circling to break free, but to no avail. Dark smoke poured from its body.

Thud!

The next second, the black flying creature stopped moving its wings. It plummeted and crashed into the ground, landing with a heavy sound.

The impact created a deep pit, and the shockwave rippled across the area.

The Red Mark Warriors and the other flying foreign creatures were stunned. They had only seen a purple flash earlier, yet a Red Mark Level flying creature had just been shot down.

Everyone was shocked to the core and began to look around. The Red Mark flying creatures in mid-air grew alarmed as well.

"Uh-oh. You are going to get targeted by the flying creatures," the ancient spirit’s voice sounded.

I gathered my wits, immediately slipped away from my position, and entered the dense crowd of warriors.

The crowd on this side began to look around in confusion.

I immediately put on an act, pretending to look around just like the other warriors.

Screeech!

It didn’t take long for me to hear the screech of the flying foreign creatures. I felt their gaze lock onto me.

"You have fooled the warriors, but it’s not easy to fool the flying foreign creatures," the ancient spirit’s voice sounded.

Hearing that, I began to circulate the purple lightning force through my body once more.

One of the flying foreign creatures accurately spotted its target. Having locked onto the human warrior who fired the attack, the creature dove down from the sky to strike.

Seeing that, the Red Mark Warriors scattered. Some launched elemental attacks against the approaching creature.

Swoosh!

However, the creature swiftly evaded all of those attacks. None of the strikes were able to hit the target; the creature possessed incredible speed.

Meanwhile, I relied on my perception. Even when the foreign creature entered my range, I didn’t release my attack prematurely.

I knew how fast the creature was, it could dodge at the very last moment. Deciding not to give it that chance, I waited for the perfect timing.

The ancient spirit watched silently, appreciating Zack Lockwood’s battle instincts.

It believed Zack Lockwood would reach the Half-Step Red Mark Rank soon.
