Chapter 1557: Surprise appearance
Boundary No. 5
The following day.
I appeared outside for a morning walk. Then I saw something shocking. I saw seniors going towards the barrier as a group.
They seemed to be leaving Boundary No. 5. As my gaze passed through the group, I saw a few familiar faces.
Kaiden Farley and others were among them. Then I spotted Warrior Stone from the Golden Faction.
I could tell that they were leaving the boundary. Then I looked around me. I saw, like myself, many others were outside their tents looking towards them.
The faces of the seniors showed that they were surprised as well. They had no idea what was going on.
When I was about to avert my gaze, I saw Stella in the corner as well. Seeing her, I decided to ask her.
I started walking towards her. I felt the gazes of other warriors, but I ignored them. Then I arrived in front of Stella.
Stella was not surprised.
She asked, "Do you want to know why they are leaving?"
Hearing that, I raised my eyebrows. She saw through my thoughts. I nodded to her.
"Dean Jerome gave new orders. The other boundaries are facing pressure. The volunteers are allowed to go to other boundaries for support," Stella said.
Hearing that, my gaze deepened. I didn’t know why, but I had this feeling it had something to do with me.
Then I saw the barrier open. A person was standing outside. The person was none other than the Purple Mark Guard.
Seeing him standing outside, my eyes flashed with surprise. Now, I wasn’t surprised that the Dean had sent him.
My gaze then set on the warriors. Kaiden Farley and others stepped outside. After coming here, I had thought there would be conflict.
But before such things could happen, my fight against the elite humanoids had shocked the warriors here.
They had an idea about my strength. I guess they have erased the thoughts of offending me.
Sigh!
A sigh escaped from my mouth.
It didn’t take long for everyone to leave the barrier. Then I found that the Purple Mark Guard was looking at me.
I raised my head and met his gaze. He seemed to have nodded to me. I nodded my head in response.
The barrier was then closed. The formation was activated. Next, the scenery returned to the plain field. But it was a deception.
Stella then turned towards Zack Lockwood. Even she was confused by the sudden changes.
Because it was not like their Boundary No. 5 was having an easy time.
Everyone was fighting against the foreign creatures with their lives on the line. It was not an easy fight except for one person. That person was none other than Zack Lockwood.
She gave him a deeper look before leaving the place.
The other seniors who were left here returned to their tents. They didn’t have a clue what was going on. Only Stella and a few others were worried about their Boundary.
I turned around and began to return to my tent.
After arriving in front of my tent, I opened the door and went inside. I closed the door. My mind went back to training mode.
Post noon.
A loud alarm sounded again. Hearing that, I understood it was the sound of battle. I took a few minutes to change my clothes.
Next, I left the tent and moved forward. I saw a wide crack in midair. This time, the shape of the wide crack was different.
Usually, the wide space crack is horizontal. But this time, the wide space crack was vertical.
A hint of surprise appeared in my eyes.
I didn’t know what foreign creatures were going to appear out of the crack this time. As time passed, more and more warriors appeared.
Shortly afterwards.
Everyone appeared at the front. I spotted Senior Stella and a few other familiar faces.
Boom!
Next, a black-framed four-legged creature over 5 meters in size stepped out of the wide space crack.
It landed on the ground with a heavy thud.
Gasp!
A low exclamation rang out. The warriors were terrified. The foreign creature appeared different this time. It was the only creature that appeared.
That too, a four-legged creature.
My expression changed drastically. I had never seen this four-legged creature before. It was new and looked menacing.
The four-legged creature was over 4 meters in size. The head of the creature looked like a crocodile filled with sharp rows of black teeth.
The claws of the creature were covered in black runes. The black runes didn’t look ordinary. They seemed to carry some kind of power.
Not only that, the back of the creature had protruding spikes. The spikes were sharply grown over half a meter long.
I could only imagine the aftermath of getting hit by those spikes. I doubted the human physique could withstand it.
The spikes were also covered in black runes. It was definitely not an ordinary creature. It was definitely an elite.
But I had not read or heard about this type of foreign creature before.
I turned toward the others. I saw their expressions were the same. They seemed to be looking at the creature for the first time.
"What’s going on here?" I asked myself.
Then my gaze swept across everyone. Finally, my gaze landed on Stella.
Her expression was different. Her eyes were filled with a mix of disbelief and fear. Why would there be disbelief? She must have known something.
"Everyone try to trap the creature before killing it. Don’t let it move!" Stella shouted all of a sudden.
Hearing that, I felt a sense of crisis.
Suddenly, I felt a terrible gaze fall on me. I turned around and followed the gaze. I saw the massive spiky creature looking toward me.
I felt terrible. As if the foreign creature knew me. Don’t tell me it has intelligence similar to the horned humanoid.
Since it can identify me, then it must have come under the orders of the foreign creatures.
Boom!
Right then, the warriors released their attacks on the four-legged foreign creature. The elemental attacks landed on the spiky creature.
An explosion occurred. But I saw no damage was done. The spiky creature remained unscathed.
