The morning was cold. Snow fell from the skies.
Derulo City University was going through its usual routines. Some students were in class with instructors. Others were heading out of campus for missions. Couples giggled and walked past, male hands clutching soft feminine ones.
Friends could be seen in groups talking about topics ranging from the mundane to matters related to the warrior world.
The focus of most of these discussions at the moment was a student who had become somewhat of a legend.
Aiden Vhorn, the Crimson Reaper.
"My cousin’s uncle’s brother’s sister’s nephew said he was in the eastern district at the time of the incident with the guilds and conglomerates. Apparently, Aiden Vhorn simply flipped his finger and everyone of those who offended him died."
"That’s not true. I heard he literally breathed crimson arrows from his mouth with his blood affinity and sent them crushing skulls. He’s a monster."
"You guys are exaggerating things. Just watch the video. It’s on the local news websites."
"Exaggerated or not, it does not change the fact he’s the most monstrous person to have ever appeared in the history of Derulo City University. Not even Grand Marshal Armstrong Lee was this terrifying during his time on campus!"
"No... you are underrating him. He’s the most terrifying genius to have ever appeared in the history of the Eldorath Empire. I really look forward to his future feats. Do you think he can appear on the Tyrant Fate rankings?"
"I think it’s possible. I think the only reason why he’s not on the Tyrant Fate Rankings is because he’s a rank 2 warrior."
"Right. That’s true. The Tyrant Fate rankings only include rank 3 and rank 4 warriors in their rankings. The list has 10,000 names. Currently, the strongest warrior in existence, Excellency Edrisa Van, one of the legendary rank 4 warriors of Endra, is ranked number 1. She’s so powerful!"
"Yeah... the top 100 is full of the legendary rank 4 warriors of Endra. The next 4,900 are the remaining rank 4 warriors. The remaining 5,000 are terrifying legendary rank 3 warriors from all over the world with groundbreaking achievements."
"Indeed. There are no rewards for being on the list. But the International Union made the list to motivate geniuses. The prestige that comes with being on the list is worth it."
"But considering Aiden Vhorn’s nature, I don’t think he will be someone concerned with appearing on the list."
"Yeah. But he will appear on it in the future anyway."
"Seriously, it’s been a long time since someone so legendary appeared in our university."
"Yeah. I will brag to my friends from the other universities about him for the whole winter!"
"But it’s sad he’s a legendary rank 2 warrior now. I was really looking forward to seeing him participate in the National Warriors University competitions on our behalf!"
"Don’t be too down yet. He’s literally surrounded by a group of monsters: Luke Bryan, Asmodeus Vincent, Seraphina Moore, Candice Marcus, and Desmonda Creed. Those guys are now very powerful. They are even more powerful than the other advanced rank 2 senior year students! They are all also in the top 20 of the Heavenly Ascension ranking list!"
"You are right."
"Hey, look. What the hell is that?"
Several students looked up.
A crimson silhouette had blotted out the skies.
On a closer look, they realized it looked like a crimson dragon.
Six figures were seated at the back of the large crimson dragon.
Candice Marcus, Asmodeus Vincent, Luke Bryan, Seraphina Moore, Desmonda Creed, and Aiden Vhorn. A group of monsters. But the one seated at the front of the crimson sea dragon was on another level.
Aiden Vhorn...
He was back?
The legend of Derulo City University was back!
"Look at that massive crimson sea dragon. Is he really still at Rank 2? The construct is too dense. What sort of elemental manipulation is this?"
"Terrifying, absolutely terrifying!"
"Compared to the crimson sword he formed in Burning Sands City, this elemental manipulation to form this crimson dragon construct is on another level. He has become stronger!"
"I’m actually questioning my life choices right now. How can life be so unfair!"
"Unfair? Do you think life is fair? Aiden Vhorn went to Burning Sands City, one of those crime-infested cities. Places like that are usually death zones! Not only did he close a rank 2 gate there alone, he used a single strike to slaughter everyone in the city. Do you think someone at his level is operating with luck or some special advantages?"
"You are right. I even heard about the issue with his abusive parents. It came on the news that they committed suicide and left him an apology note detailing all the bad things they did to him. But he still became such an awe-inspiring and terrifying person!"
"Yeah, he’s my role model from now on!"
"I want to have his babies!"
"Keep dreaming, girl!"
The onlookers watched the crimson dragon moving towards a particular direction.
Several people used their smartphones to take pictures of Aiden Vhorn and company on the crimson dragon.
Soon, news spread throughout the university that Aiden Vhorn had returned.
Many students could not help but sigh.
In just a year and a few months after becoming a warrior, Aiden Vhorn had risen to a level they could only look up to!
His level of power as a legendary rank 2 warrior was not something they could even begin to fathom.
His achievements were all extremely legendary. Just a single one of them could put each of them to shame.
The societies on campus that stayed out of his way a year and some months ago instead of trying to have issues with him could only sigh in relief that they made the right choice.
Their fates would have been sealed otherwise.
Several instructors also felt the same way. They did not even know if they could take a single attack from Aiden Vhorn without dying.
In just a year, a student had become more powerful than most of them.
The crimson dragon was a few meters off the ground.
Aiden and company hopped from its back and landed on the ground.
They were currently standing in front of a building complex.
The graduation building complex.
The crimson dragon turned into blobs of blood and returned into Aiden.
The group entered the building.
"You go on ahead. We will wait in the lobby," Desmonda said as she gave Aiden a kiss on the lips.
At the moment, the previous top ten on the Heavenly Ascension Ranking List were in the graduation building. They had already processed their graduation proceedings.
They looked at Aiden with complicated expressions. This was the person with one million contribution points. Currently ranked 1 on the Heavenly Ascension ranking list.
The Crimson Reaper. Aiden Vhorn.
They had been on campus for more than 3 years. Yet someone who had been a student for only a year and some months had become a legendary rank 2 warrior in that short time frame.
They didn’t even know if they should call themselves geniuses anymore.
They heard a lot about Aiden Vhorn when they returned to campus from their special mission.
They deemed the rumors exaggerated.
But the video of The Massacre of Burning Sands and the livestream of the slaughter he committed in the city recently made them realize he was the real deal. He was leagues above them.
They were all legendary rank 2 warriors now. But Aiden Vhorn was on an entirely different level.
They sighed. They could not even approach him and talk to him. What were they going to say to him? Did they have any relationship with him?
Aiden Vhorn was known for being polite. But he only paid attention to those in his circle. They would only make fools of themselves if they approached him.
Some of the ladies among them were extremely jealous of Desmonda when they saw her kiss Aiden. Which woman did not desire an exceptional man?
Not caring about the thoughts and looks directed his way, Aiden nodded.
"Alright."
He saw the previous top ten on the Heavenly Ascension ranking list stare at him.
When they looked into his calm black eyes, it was as if they were staring into the eyes of a slumbering predator. Apart from his good looks, he looked extremely ordinary, but if one paid attention to the look in his eyes, one would realize he was not someone to be messed with. He had the slumbering demeanor of a powerhouse.
Aiden however didn’t know their thoughts. Neither would he have cared.
He simply nodded to them and proceeded to the counter to finalize his graduation procedures as his friends found a place to sit in the lobby.
