Chapter 57. New Record
After Aiden left the arena, he went straight to his villa to change into a new set of clothes and wash down.
After that, he went straight away to the training halls.
This time, he went to the second floor. He did not spend time on the first floor.
His power was at the level of an advanced rank 1 warrior. The first floor would not be helpful in his training.
When he arrived at the second floor, a large number of senior year students were there.
"It’s him."
"Aiden Vhorn."
"The Crimson Reaper."
"What’s he doing on the second floor?"
"I thought most of the first year students usually spent time on the first floor because that’s what their contribution points and strength could handle."
"Well, technically. But don’t be stupid. This dude is a top ranker. Not only that, he is an advanced rank 1 warrior. So he’s an exception. The first floor is basically useless to him."

Discussion brewed across the place. Some looked at Aiden with fear. The image of how he killed Treehill and Hourglass was still fresh in their memory. Others who were stronger nodded towards him with respect.
Aiden nodded back politely and continued walking.
He arrived in front of the VR rooms.
"He’s entering the VR space."
"Interesting. The VR space can be watched, right?"
"Yeah. You just need to pay some contribution points and you can watch them."
Aiden entered one of the VR rooms.
There were a lot of VR pods in there.
He proceeded towards one.
There was a very comfortable bed.
Aiden put on the VR pod and lay down.
A wave washed over him.
Aiden suddenly found himself in a very virtual ethereal space.
"This is just like a game," Aiden thought.
A hologram popped up before him.
[Welcome, Mr. Vhorn.
Kindly choose your options.
Would you like to be in the combat arenas, or you’d like to challenge the gravity towers?]
"I’d like to challenge the gravity towers," Aiden replied.
[Noted. Response received.
The amount of time you spend in the gravity towers determine how much contribution points you pay.
Choose how long you’d want to spend in the gravity towers. As a high ranker on the Heavenly Ascension ranking list, you’d get a discount, depending on your rank.]
A list of hours and corresponding contribution points to spend on them appeared.
Aiden selected 7 hours.
The amount of contribution points that was to be deducted was deducted from him based on the discount.
Even so, the difference in contribution points between him and the person below him was so wide that his rank did not even budge.
Not that Aiden cared about that.
[Transferring user Aiden Vhorn to the first floor of the gravity tower.]
Aiden’s figure disappeared.
He appeared on a large desert.
Several chaotic beasts were approaching.
They were all intermediate rank 1 chaotic beasts. There were 500 of them.
"This must be the first floor," Aiden said. "The simulation is very miraculous. Everything is very realistic. The gravity tower of the second floor of the training hall has ten floors. Let’s see how far I can climb."
Before Aiden moved, a notification appeared before him.

Aiden simply nodded.
He moved. Under the effects of the x5 gravity, he felt nothing.
His eyes turned crimson. Blobs of blood appeared before him and transformed into a large crimson sword. The crimson sword floated in the sky. It was very overbearing.
Outside the VR tower.
A large crowd of senior year students were watching the video of Aiden on the first floor of the tower.
"How long do you think it will take for him to clear the first floor?" someone asked.
"About 60 seconds?" someone replied.
"I think so too. Considering his strength, 60 seconds should be normal for him," another person replied.
"The person with the current fastest record for clearing the first floor used 4 minutes. She is also an advanced rank 1 warrior. Ranked 3000 on the Heavenly Ascension ranking list. Wilmora Henry."
"She’s also in the tower at the moment. She’s on the seventh floor at the moment. If care is not taken, I’m afraid she will be able to clear the tower in just 14 hours!"

Everyone looked at the screen.
Aiden Vhorn was standing there. His eyes turned crimson as blobs of blood appeared before him and transformed into a very large crimson sword. The sword was very overbearing and blotted out the skies. It floated above him.
The large crimson sword shot towards the approaching intermediate rank 1 chaotic beasts with unnerving speed.
In a moment, it appeared in their midst and descended. The crimson sword cleaved through them with overbearing might.
The creatures roared in pain as the sword decimated them from existence.
Not even their corpses remained.

Aiden’s figure turned into motes of light and disappeared from the first floor.
Outside the VR room.
"Did he just clear the first floor in five seconds?" someone muttered with shock.
"It seems we still underestimated him. I don’t think I should make any assumptions when it comes to this guy from now on," another person added.
"He has set a record. He got 4000 contribution points. Wilmora Henry got 1000 contribution points from clearing the first floor in 4 minutes. It seems Aiden Vhorn has literally made it difficult for anyone to set another clear record from now on."
"Yeah, unless the record he set is overcome, no one who clears the first floor, even at a fast speed, will be recognized by the university AI as having set a new record."
"This guy is a freak."
"Look, Wilmora is still stuck on the seventh floor."

Aiden appeared on the second floor.
He looked around him.
He was standing in a ruined city.
The city was full of ice and vapor.
He heard the growls of chaotic beasts. He saw a gate ahead. Several creatures were spilling out of the gate. Ice danced across their figures.
A very cold sensation permeated across the environs from the gate.
"When gates are not closed on time, environmental phenomena and creatures from the pocket world spill out of the gate. The cold temperature of the pocket world is starting to seep into the environment. This is a virtual reality version of what happens in a locality where a gate forms, when the gate is not addressed," Aiden thought.
A holographic screen popped up before him.
