Ashes and Kingdoms

6-6. Lena's Wishes

Even with the sunset hidden beyond the Cape, the area is still bright enough. In this season of long evenings, it seems as if the purple crystal sky and the golden sea continue to hold each other forever.

Finn walked through the city blurring and wondering if Deia and Audia were still friendly, etc.

Step by step, put a light sign on the ground like you pray. I also thought about circling the whole nanice, but if you can't protect it too broadly, there's a danger for everyone.

I think we should have had the ship evacuated.

The crew of the merchant ship decides to cross the night by boat with land in front of them. It is safer to be held by Audia of the Great Sea, which has no light or darkness, with the corner lamp that gave Lena the light.

(If I had to, I'd use rough methods too)

If you go out to Lena, there's not as much creation as keeping the Dark Beast away from the perimeter of your temporary residence. I don't dare to do anything about it, so it's a hassle.

Looking back at the light footprints that continued dottedly, like this, Finn nodded one person. Tight to such an extent that it is very weak but the darkness cannot be ignored so as not to dazzle. It's difficult to add or subtract, but I tell myself that this would be good.

Then he laid a blanket and lowered his hips in search of a promising and walled place. When I close my eyes, I feel my consciousness go through my footsteps. You'll see when the Dark Beast crosses there.

The sky turns to colour, and the sea loses its light and becomes silent. The earth was slowly covered in a purple blue book, and eventually, as usual, a cold darkness came.

Hatred is incredibly weaker than before, but still, as they approached, I had chills. Clear hostility, unsaveable despair, is sneaking into my mind at some point.

Finn shook his head small and stood up slowly. Beyond the collapsed walls, the blue light dots pop into the city. A single beast wandering in search of prey noticed a faint boundary. He leaks a sinister roar and comes and goes, wondering whether or not he should cross. Finn walked out towards you.

The boundaries of light are something that Dark Families can cross if they dare to cross. It cannot be extinguished by soiling or knocking down a platform like a pine light or a bonfire, but it is only necessary to suffer the slightest pain. Once you cross it, there's no light inside.

But once humans used the trap of this hand to drive out the beast of darkness. Draw boundaries to the extent that they can be crossed, draw dark beasts inside them, and look at the times and turn them into strong boundaries.

After that, you can either seal it up and wait for dawn or light a fire that won't go out easily. Once upon a time, humans could do it. Sorcerers and priests, and with the power of dragon marquis.

Because of the abominable memories inherited, what is only a thin and weak border severs the hand that goes into a difficult groove to cross.

Dew stranger Finn approached you indefensibly, wondering why. The darkness that was raging in front of the border moves deliberately, and the blue light turns this way sassy. Shortly after blinking, the black shadow jumped.

Sharp claws and fangs devour the arms that sheltered the front of your body. He pulled one foot toward the other and fell, but when the beast flew away after the impact of eating away the meat, he fell down and knelt down.

I look at my fearful right arm wondering if it was really eaten this time. I still haven't shed a drop of blood just because I don't have a sense of where it was eaten up. While doing that, the beast stands ready to fly again. Finn got back on his feet and faced it.

"Don't come. From here on out, leave me alone."

Speak while you know you can't get through. Instead of a reply, the dark whip roared and cut the wind.

By nightfall, he was like a rag by example.

With a glance, I still manage to walk home. Lena showed up beside her and gently supported her shoulders.

"Ugh... I'm starting to feel like I'm dealing with a wild dog who won't miss me forever... Speak up, you are barked, and your hands are caught."

Even though he was tired of it, Finn spilled such a joke. Don't worry, I'm fine, instead. But of course, it was a useless concern for Lena.

"Finn's not giving up, is he?"

I know, so it's okay, and a smile tells me. Finn laughed bitterly, and his knee slipped down on the edge of it and crept onto the spot.

"No, you're not going to get home. I'll take a rest around here and then I'll be back. Tell everyone..."

Give it to me, my request was speechless. Finn tries to squeamish the blanket he had and lays on the edge of the street. Lena touched the body gently before flipping herself into the wind.

Slightly, when Finn woke up asleep like mud, he was wrapped in something white and fluffy and warm. Still half asleep, hitting backwards in the first place. And the flutter moved like it tickled under my body.

……

So finally my head was clear and Finn rose up peeling. Soon, Lena was replacing Finn's bunk with what she was. It is completely blocked and round the streets, and has a regular sleep.

As Finn stretched out, Lena opened one eye properly, too. Golden eyes like a full moon blink a few times, bringing the sleigh and neck of the to make a stretch. Finn combed the flanking fur he was replacing his pillow to the point of apology, and good morning, he grinned bitterly.

The sky was covered with thin clouds, but the white light is pouring out of the gap. From that position, it looks like it's almost noon. When I put my hand in the sky, I could see that the wound was completely gone. And, as if to imitate that trick of Finn, Lena also rises, spreading her wings wide and stretching them out. The tip of the long tail grabbed onto the edge of the collapsed house and raised dirt and dust.

Finn laughs unexpectedly and pounds Lena's leg.

"I guess I'll have to make the streets wider so you can run around as you are"

"I don't think you should."

"Street expansion?

"Not running around. No matter how wide the road, if I run around, I'm sure all the roof tiles will blow up."

I'm not kidding, but Finn imagined the sight and laughed out loud. Lena looks complicated and tilts her little neck, like a little hurt. Then she became a flutter and a girl.

"To it," he says, laughing and hugging Finn. "When you look at this, this is how you feel full of fins. That's fine."

While it is the same as usual, the emotions transmitted through the bonds have a slightly different atmosphere. Although Finn did it by stroking Lena's head with his uneaten face, he somehow got weirdly embarrassed. Release yourself subtly and walk out toward the house.

"I wonder if I could cross that line to the end last night"

"Yep. I could cross it if I wanted to, but I was wary it was a trap"

"Trap? Right, I see."

Even without a specific explanation, I could somehow see what she was trying to say, and Finn roared.

"Then eventually they'll cross that border... if they find out it's not a trap"

What should I do then? By then, will they be directed not to come near?

When Finn was thinking about it, Lena accidentally called.

"Hey, Finn."

"Yeah?"

"That's what I'm trying to do right now, so that new people can move into this city."

"I wonder if that would happen if I stuck it. Either way, it would be helpful to keep the Dark Families away... What's wrong?

Things are not right, Finn stops when he realizes. Lena also stopped on her feet, but rarely, she didn't try to gaze in with Finn. Think and slowly mouth the words as you stare at the smoky horizon of the destination.

"I wonder if a lot of people will come"

Hearing the twinkle, Finn finally guessed why she was anxious. I'll reach out and gently stroke your head with a pound.

"It's okay, there won't be enough people coming for you to feel the pain. Besides, no matter how many people come, I won't let them count on you. I won't make you feel scared. I promise."

As he raised his right hand to the sign of the oath, Lena finally turned around and smiled a little spicy. Try to throw your arms at each other and hug them all the time.

"Thank you. I, too, try to get more used to humans. So Finn,... you know, I need a favor."

In unexpected words, Finn became a mess. Except for 'Don't Die' when we bonded, I don't recall Lena ever 'asking' Finn for anything. I wonder how troubled this is about the end.

Finn gently put his hands on both of Lena's shoulders and let go of his body, bending over and peeking into her face.

"What?

Encourage her in a calm voice so she doesn't have to hesitate.

- The reply was, it was a really small voice.

"Um,... me,... Finn's,... oh, to 'ma'am', do?

…………

Am I wrong to hear that? Or has something also turned out to be a misguided conversation that hasn't engaged at all in a while?

Finn solidifies like a stone and often ceases to exist.

That's what he's been doing for too long. He's been silent, so Lena seems worried, she's been softly touching her heart. In a hurry Finn retreats, wait a minute, and controls by hand.

"Lena, uh... can I ask what that means? I mean, uh..."

Weakened. Don't know what to say, Finn scratches his head confused. Lena followed and supplemented, turning bright red, fingering and loosening pointlessly with the mould.

"So, um... I mean, I, Finn's, um... uh, yeah, I want to marry Finn! Does this suit you?

Even if they ask me.

Finn fainted slightly and pressed between his eyebrows. Lena asks him a favor once again, when he is silent.

"Finn...... trouble?

"No."

Reflectively Finn was shaking his head. If I say I'm in trouble, I'm going to deny her 'please'. I didn't want to refuse the request without permission at this time.

"Well, I'm not in trouble, but I'm surprised... hey, I think my head stopped working. Sorry."

Within what I'm saying, I feel sorry for myself. Finn scratched his head a little,

"Can you give me some time?

I gave a soothing answer to the sit-down. Still, Lena gets a relieved look, takes a big breath and sneaks a nod.

"I'm sorry I surprised you. Yeah, it's nothing, it's not perfect. It's just that... when a lot of people get here, Finn thinks maybe it's gonna be more important that way."

"Did you think I'd find someone among the new residents to marry?

I'm quick, Finn laughs bitterly. Then surprisingly, Lena glanced at Finn in a way that she didn't quite understand what he meant by the words. I think about it for a second, and then I get the look I thought of.

"Ah... uh, you know, if Finn is going to love and marry a human woman, that's fine. That's a nice thing. That's not what I mean, I mean..."

Looking for words to explain, Lena turns red again. I put my hands on both cheeks that were cheerful, and groaned in a whisper, uh, etc.

"I'm greedy, aren't I? Finn and I are bonded, but I don't think that's enough. I don't know what Finn would do if he just took care of one of the humans, what he would do if he stopped caring about me... and then, you know, he wanted to get married."

What a smile it was to excuse herself, and Finn began to struggle to laugh this time as the surprise drew.

(You're lonely. Looks like a puppy after all)

Push and kill the dull laugh and think about it. But there was more to Lena's words.

"Besides, Finn, I would have told you about the name yesterday. About the family name and family name. The name of the new Finn will be passed down to the child."

"Huh? Oh, yeah"

It was something that suddenly flew the story, and Finn makes his eyes squeeze. but the topic wasn't out of line, it was just pushing it to the end.

"That's when I thought. I knew I wanted to raise Finn and the kids."

"-... eh"

This time I couldn't bear it, and Finn crouched on the spot.

"Hey... hey, wait. Doesn't it make you feel too soon for anything? Didn't you guys tell me you're slow to get married and raise kids?

"Yeah, right? So I'm not talking about it right now. Um... shouldn't have?

…………

It's not even like we're talking about something we shouldn't have done or something. Then when you say what the hell you're talking about, you no longer know what it is.

Finn stood up nicely and apologized just by hand to Lena, who looked worried.

"I'm sorry. After all, I can't work my head right now,... again"

Not at all pitiful, but that's all I can say, he heads home with a sore head. You think Lena was a little bad, she didn't come with me, she just dropped me off.

Upon entering the temporary residence, all three Finn's family were inside to inspect the contents of the load bought from the merchant ship. Other faces, as usual, probably put their energy into building houses and transporting materials.

Nellis raised her eyebrows at Finn, who came back with a twisted face.

"Welcome home. You look kind of tired. Didn't you sleep on the side of the road?

"Oh, I was asleep. I'm tired of being apart from that."

Finn moaned as he turned to the door. When I looked at the family's face, I didn't think of the idea of doing something about what happened now on my own, and he told me to crush him with a troubled face.

"What am I supposed to do?... Lena wants to get married."

Two shouts went up instantly.

"Eh!

"With whom!?

Fauna rounds her eyes and Nellis leans back and asks all the bites. Finn replied blushing, still half-stopped thinking.

"... with me"

As soon as possible, the air in the room whitened all at once. What is this reaction, and soon after Finn was surprised,

"Hey."

Nellis smiled and calmed down his floating hips back to normal. Fauna also smiles bitterly, turning to Finn, you can't help but say.

"Don't surprise me. I thought Lena brought the dragon's son-in-law."

"What..."

"What are you panicking about? My brother is real, there's nothing you can do! I always knew Lena was your brother."

Ridiculous, Nellis spread his hands and went back to work as if nothing had happened. Finn puzzles and looks at Oandus for help. but this one was also still a look like, I don't know what my son is in so much trouble with. Thankfully, for once, they did.

"Well, you're not talking about right now, are you?

"That, of course. Yes, sir."

To Finn, who answered the mound, while Nellis stuck the garbage out of the bean hemp bag.

"Then why don't you just take it easy and get ready?

Respond as follows.

I had no idea that anyone but myself would finally acknowledge this and return such a reaction, so Finn was completely out of his temper and sat down sloppily in the lair.

After much relief, he groaned to no one.

"I can't imagine. I..."

Marriage, I can't believe it. Even if not right now, marry Lena, and even her children?

Fauna spoke sympathetically to Finn, who shook his head.

"That's what it was like when you were young, isn't it? I can't imagine being old enough to live my life like my parents and other adults. You don't really feel it."

Finn nodded blurry as he was told, then he realized all the time and changed his expression.

I don't feel it, it's nowhere. As a matter of fact, I still have a few decades left to quote, and I'm not going to be the same as my parents. Not like parents who are married and raising children.

(Only an increase in age numbers doesn't make me look like my current uncle)

Embrace the raised one knee and bury the jaw so as to hide it from becoming a dark face. You realize it or not, Nellis said it was obvious.

"Really? I can easily imagine if I were your brother. Regardless of marriage, parenting is normal and not. Changing baby diapers, pulling little ones hands and shopping"

As I say, I'm already laughing myself out. Finn half-eyed and stared at his opponent, roaring softly.

"Does that mean I'm in trouble?

"That, you didn't realize?

".................. ha"

Sigh. Finn shook his head and stood up. Damn, when it comes to this sister, things get simpler all the time. It got silly that he was worried, and Finn squeezed his blonde head around him when he went by Nellis.

"Oh, my God, hey, you can stop"

"If I'm in trouble, it's all your fault. Be aware."

Yeah, I don't know what to say anymore.

Feeling that way, Finn spilled a bitter laugh. And, as I waited for it, Lena appears beside the flutter.

"Finn, you look energized. Good."

"Thanks to Nellis."

Ironically, Finn turns his sister's head one more time to finish. I got my hands on an angry Nellis, but it didn't hurt.

(Not yet, okay? Still a while, stay like this)

There is no hurry. I don't even want to rush.

At least for a while now, while I can naturally blend in as part of this family.

Finn laughed, as he hid his chest pain.

- Then about half a month later.

The moon chose a bright time and the first wave of immigrants arrived.

It was in 1087 and May that people with hope stepped on the soil of Nanais and were welcomed by the young Dragon Marquis.

That date, as the beginning of the new nanice, will be remembered for a long time to come. At the time, though, no one, I didn't expect to.
