"Ummmm-----"

Gorin drew out his voice, placing his index finger beside his lips, looking incredibly performative.

[My eyes are burning, he probably thinks he’s so cute, hahaha]

[Come on, say it, say it, say ittttt]

[Other people’s secrets always make me look forward to things, hahaha]

[Exactly. As long as it isn’t our secret, that’s all that matters kkk]

"This is really difficult. Looking at you makes me want to ask so many questions. But never mind, the first question is..."

Gorin gently moved his massive body, winding his way behind Silvanus. He placed his large hands on his shoulders and said with a faint smile, "Is Erebus really a god?"

The question fell. Silvanus lowered his eyes, trying his best to keep his gaze from obviously drifting toward Gorin.

[hahahahahaha]

[What kind of question is that? Is he suspecting that this one is another fake god like last time?]

[It’s not impossible]

[I’ve already seen Erebus’s abilities. He’s definitely a real god]

[Let’s just wait for Silvanus’s answer]

"Come on, come on, come on! All the angels in the livestream are waiting for this!"

Gorin kept urging him in his ear. Immediately afterward, countless speakers above their heads seemed to open mouths of their own, beginning to emit sounds like a swarm of bees. All of them were urging him on.

The noise was so dense that Silvanus felt a sharp pain in his head. Everything was trembling, including the scene before his eyes.

An atmosphere like this could easily drive someone insane.

Silvanus clenched his fists and said coldly, "If Erebus is not a god, then there is no one in this world worthy of being called a god!"

The light above his head brightened slightly, but nothing else happened. This was a genuine answer.

[Looking at that cold expression on Silvanus’s face, he must have already imagined 7,749 different ways to kill Gorin in his head, hahaha]

[The first question was easier than I expected]

[Actually, it would only be difficult if Erebus weren’t really a god]

"Good. So, if you really are His most beloved believer, then I’m starting to get scared too."

Silvanus raised his eyes to look at him, the corner of his lips curling up slightly. "You certainly should be scared."

As he spoke, Silvanus lifted his gaze upward.

Gorin followed his gaze and couldn’t help but chuckle. "What’s wrong? Are you uncomfortable?"

He pointed at the pile of speakers on the ceiling. "You really should be uncomfortable. After all, they exist specifically to make you uncomfortable. But the fact that you still haven’t gotten angry enough to jump up and lose your temper really makes me admire you, hahaha."

Silvanus stared at Gorin swaying in front of him without saying anything more. Right now, his only way out was to destroy this space.

But where should he start?

Silvanus raised his head and looked at the strange, grotesque machine floating above them. Perhaps it wasn’t Gorin. This machine might actually be the core object controlling this space.

For the next question, he intended to deal with it.

Darkness began to churn where the light could not reach, but neither the viewers nor Gorin had noticed any change yet.

"So... the second question. Do you like Gorin?"

Silvanus, who had been about to launch a counterattack: "..."

Was this really supposed to be a deadly question?

Silvanus looked at Gorin and answered without hesitation, "Of course not."

[Hahaha, does Gorin really think he can make an impression on Silvanus?]

[I always knew Gorin’s second questions were always incredibly stupid and weird]

[Just as expected]

[Anyway, the second question is basically a break, so let’s move on to the next one]

[With that relentless barrage of noise, I don’t see how this could possibly count as a break]

[The fact that Silvanus is still sitting there without going insane is already worthy of my admiration]

[But he really does look furious]

[The angrier he gets, the more I like him]

[When is Erebus going to show up?]

[Silvanus hasn’t even prayed yet, for goodness’ sake, you idiots]

"Your answer really hurt me, darling. Now, let’s continue."

"Then tell me, what was your life like before you were dragged here? What was it like?"

Silvanus couldn’t help but pause for a moment. He looked at Gorin as if asking: Is it really that simple?

But all he saw was Gorin’s crying mask. Even when he noticed Silvanus looking back at him, Gorin tilted his head in confusion, putting on an innocent and seemingly adorable expression.

Silvanus’s mind slowed somewhat as he faced the noise in this space that seemed determined to shatter his skull.

His life before this—what was there that he couldn’t talk about?

It was just a brief summary.

"I..."

But the moment Silvanus had uttered that single word, the machine hovering above him suddenly let out a piercing shriek that nearly drowned out every other sound in the space. Its tentacles abruptly became razor-sharp and simultaneously stabbed toward Silvanus.

"Liar!"

The voice sounded as though it had been spoken by some ancient creature. Even Silvanus couldn’t help feeling somewhat stunned and astonished by this turn of events.

Yet not a trace of it showed on his face.

He raised his head coldly, facing the unknown creature before him. Darkness surged forward, blocking the attacks of countless sharp, needle-like points.

However, immediately afterward, Silvanus could still sense that the thing which had been lurking inside his mind from the very beginning had begun to explode.

Unfortunately, it had never truly been able to control what lay within him.

Everything happened in the blink of an eye. This seemed to be nothing more than preparation for the next act of the play.

Then, in an instant, the ground beneath their feet split open.

Gorin laughed maniacally. "We’ll meet again soon, darling!"

The next moment, the two of them fell into the underground space below, with no idea where it would lead.

Clearly, if that lying machine couldn’t kill Silvanus, its intention was to weaken him before throwing him down here.

Even in free fall, the descent lasted so long that one couldn’t help but wonder just how deep this place was.

Silvanus raised a hand and wiped the blood from his nose, slowly scanning his surroundings. Then he saw comments floating up like drops of his own blood.

[The main event is finally here]

[There always has to be that whole truth-or-lie question segment. It’s never actually killed anyone, has it?]

Never killed anyone?

Judging by Gorin’s attitude, Silvanus had thought that game was quite deadly...
