Chapter 118: The Ship Is Gone
Kevin directed Toti to steer the ship around the deserted island.
Soon, they found Bella and the others’ luxury yacht, as well as Franky and Nami’s steel cruise ship.
Seeing those two ships, Nova frowned. "Looks like they sent everyone out. Maybe we should leave early and shake them off."
Kevin just snorted. "They’ve been chasing us the whole time. It’s getting annoying. Time to teach them a lesson."
The Wheels of Flame & Wind under Kevin’s feet spun wildly. He quickly landed on the luxury yacht, placed his hand on the deck, and started scanning it mechanically.
The scanning process went smoothly.
In less than eight hours, Kevin had turned both modern ships into blueprints, then reduced them to raw materials and stored them in his Mechanical Kingdom.
Just then, the three Serpent-Form Mist Phantoms sent back images from the treasure vault.
Kevin watched Keston, Joseph, and the others throwing up and having diarrhea everywhere, and nodded with satisfaction. "This scene is probably going to give them some serious trauma. I wonder if they’ll lose some Sanity when they come back and find their ships are gone."
Kevin turned around, jumped back onto the "Daddy" Cannon, and set sail again.
He stood at the stern, staring at the deserted island slowly getting farther away. His voice was ice cold. "Bella, Joseph. Within the Conch Clan’s lighthouse range, I can’t kill you. Consider this just interest. Next time we meet, it’ll be your death."
Then Kevin called Stephanie over and told her to spread the news about his location to the Captains who were still stuck on the toilet.
That made the Captains, still squatting in the treasure vault, completely furious.
But because they had been sitting there so long, their legs were numb and they had lost too much water. The moment they stood up, they felt dizzy and could barely keep their balance.
In the end, it was thanks to a Captain with healing abilities that everyone finally got treated and slowly regained their strength.
But when these Survivors rushed back to the shore, looking for their ships, they were shocked.
"Where’s the ship? It was parked right here! How is it gone?"
"Don’t panic. I installed a tracking device on the ship. Let me check." Franky pulled out his tracker and carefully checked the ship’s coordinates.
But all that showed on the tracker was a bunch of question marks.
Boom! Franky punched a nearby boulder, shattering it into pieces. He roared, "This is impossible! I welded that tracker onto the ship myself! How could it just disappear? Our ship is gone!"
The people around him heard Franky’s shout, and their eyes went wide.
"The ship is gone? How is that possible? Are we stuck on this deserted island now?"
On the other side, Black Knight Aaron, Justin, and Joseph all looked equally furious.
They walked the entire coastline, and after going around the whole island, they finally confirmed that their luxury yacht was gone.
"Don’t bother guessing. That bastard Kevin must have taken it." Joseph kicked a pile of rubble in front of him, his voice filled with killing intent.
Black Knight Aaron’s face was now extremely dark.
He was a top-tier figure in the [Second Sea Area], yet he had been played by a newcomer who had only been in the [First Sea Area] for less than a month.
There was no way he was swallowing this.
Suddenly, a communication alert from Darius sounded in Black Knight Aaron’s ear.
"Aaron, how’s everything going? You need to speed up the mission."
"I heard that Mr. Kingston sent his top man, the Lone Wolf Draven. If Draven catches Ms. Nova before you do, we’ll have to pay Mr. Kingston a huge amount of resources."
"So at the very least, you should work together with Draven to capture Ms. Nova."
When Black Knight Aaron read the message, the veins on his forehead bulged.
He grabbed Keston by the collar and said coldly, "You’re the only one who can summon a ship right now. Take me after Kevin, now!"
Keston froze for a moment.
He didn’t plan to fight Black Knight Aaron, because he could feel a danger from Aaron like nothing he’d ever faced before.
"Can you find Kevin’s location? Without coordinates, I can’t promise I’ll catch up to him."
Black Knight Aaron snorted. "Don’t forget, I’m a vampire. You humans invented radar after learning from my kind."
With that, Black Knight Aaron closed his eyes and focused.
Soon, he pointed in a direction far away. "That way. Full speed ahead!"
Keston nodded and immediately walked to the shore, spreading his arms.
Then a crack opened in his chest. From that terrifying heart, tendrils shot out and wove together into a pirate ship—the Spectral Corsair Vessel.
After separating from the heart, Keston’s presence weakened noticeably.
Afraid that Black Knight Aaron would cause trouble for him, he quickly slipped into the cockpit and locked the door behind him.
Then Joseph and Justin glared at each other but boarded the Spectral Corsair Vessel anyway.
Bella followed, and then three Captains who had been possessed by the Serpent-Form Mist Phantoms willingly climbed aboard.
Ignoring Franky and Nami’s warnings, they went straight over to Black Knight Aaron.
Black Knight Aaron didn’t object.
He didn’t mind having a few humans on the ship. If he got hungry, they could serve as food.
But none of them noticed that deep in those Captains’ eyes, a cold red light flickered
Every move they made was being watched by Kevin.
Three hundred nautical miles away, the "Daddy" Cannon had completely left the Conch Clan’s territory.
Kevin gripped the railing tightly, his eyes flickering with tension.
Just then, Nova walked up and gently placed her hand on top of Kevin’s. "You seem restless. What’s on your mind?"
Kevin steadied himself and said firmly, "I’m fine. Let’s drop anchor and rest for a while. We’ll wait for them."
His eyes grew colder and colder.
He had decided to lie in wait here.
Once Bella and the others left the Conch Clan’s protection, he would kill Bella and Joseph once and for all, avenging his own death in his past life.
Just then, Stephanie walked over carefully, carrying a cup of tea.
She looked at Kevin with nervous eyes. "Captain, are you really going to kill Bella?"
After what happened with the Conch Clan, Stephanie was now one hundred percent sure that Kevin hated Bella to the bone, and that he wanted nothing more than to destroy both Bella and Joseph.
In Stephanie’s mind, Kevin must have found out about Bella and Joseph’s affair. He might even know that the baby in Bella’s belly wasn’t his.
That kind of truth would drive any man mad, including Kevin.
Thinking about it, Stephanie took a deep breath. "I can help you lure her here."
Kevin shook his head. "No need. Just do your job."
Stephanie lowered her head carefully and left the cabin.
She didn’t dare to provoke Kevin right now, afraid of getting caught in the crossfire.
But no sooner had Stephanie left than the waves around them suddenly grew violent. Even the "Daddy" Cannon started rocking from side to side.
Stephanie lost her footing and fell against the window.
Through the porthole, she stared in shock at the distance.
About five nautical miles away from the "Daddy" Cannon, a massive shark was closing in fast.
Just by looking at it, she could tell the shark was at least thirty feet long.
On the back of that massive shark sat the Lone Wolf Draven—a muscular man with dark skin, staring coldly in their direction.
Stephanie gasped and grabbed the radio beside her. "Someone’s coming!"
By then, Kevin and Celula had already spotted the uninvited guest.
They exchanged a glance, both seeing surprise in each other’s eyes.
"That guy is definitely not a Survivor. I used my Navigator Talent, and I couldn’t sense him at all," Celula said in a low voice.
"And he’s definitely not friendly." Kevin raised his binoculars, took a closer look, and immediately gave the order: "Everyone, get ready for battle!"
Kevin summoned a dozen drones and sent them circling toward Draven.
As soon as they got within five hundred meters, Kevin’s voice came through the drones: "Who are you?"
Draven looked at the familiar drone design and grinned. "Ms. Nova, Mr. Kingston sent me to pick you up. Please come with me."
Draven’s voice carried through the drones and into the cabin.
When Nova heard the name "Kingston," her face turned pale.
Kevin noticed the change in her expression and frowned. "Do you know him?"
Nova shook her head quickly, panic in her voice. "I don’t know him. But that Kingston—he’s the one who hired [The Eye of Tarot] to capture girls. I heard he’s a religious fanatic and a powerful underground financier. He’s killed a lot of people."
Kevin’s eyes narrowed. "If that’s the case, then we’ll kill him. And then we’ll go kill this Kingston."
Without hesitation, Kevin ordered the drones to open fire.
But the moment the drones locked their sights on the Lone Wolf Draven, he sensed the danger.
Draven twisted sideways and leaped into the sea.
Just before he hit the water, two boomerangs flew out from his hands at an eerie angle, slicing through the air toward the drones.
In the blink of an eye, every drone Kevin had sent out was shot down.
And Draven, who had just hit the water, was now swimming faster than the shark itself.
His arms and legs churned through the waves, and his body shot forward like a torpedo, racing straight for the "Daddy" Cannon.
Up in the crow’s nest, Monchhichi saw him coming and pulled the trigger without hesitation.
As Draven swam, he suddenly felt a strange distortion in time and space lock onto him.
He knew he was about to be hit. So he raised his hand, and the two boomerangs that had been spinning in the air came flying back toward him.
Bang! Monchhichi fired the trigger of [Zero Error].
The sniper bullet shot out like a beam of light, heading straight for Draven’s head.
