Chapter 142: Eastern Sword Immortal
At this point, Messi Grion looked down at the deck.
"The Grion family’s cruise ship is huge. Five hundred Survivors live on this ship. Every one of them is at least as strong as Keston."
"The Survivors in the First Sea Area are still busy forming small groups and fighting among themselves. They do not understand that only a large ship can carry enough people and enough strong crew members. In this terrifying sea, small ships will eventually sink."
With a wave of his hand, Messi Grion canceled the original plan.
"Since Kevin does not want anyone to find him, then we will stop looking for him."
Messi Grion spread out a sea map and marked four routes and three uncharted waterways.
"I had people carry out a full investigation. Based on the current locations of most Survivors and the direction of the Black Curtain, ninety percent of the fleets will follow one of the four routes I marked. Before the end of the month, they will gather on these four islands."
After Messi Grion marked the four islands, everyone realized that most Survivors were actually sailing in the same direction.
In the end, they would have to gather somewhere. The closest gathering point for the Survivors was these four deserted islands.
Messi Grion put down his pen and said with confidence, "By the end of the month, most Survivors will arrive at these four islands to prepare for the next storm. As long as we leave enough intelligence agents on the islands, we will be able to track Kevin’s movements right away. Then it will be time to surround Kevin and bring Nova back."
Sindra and Darius looked at each other. They both truly admired Messi Grion’s plan.
Darius was the first to lower his head. He bowed respectfully and said, "A brilliant plan. The Eye of Tarot will handle the intelligence work on the four islands."
Sindra also put away his smile and said sincerely, "Sky Island will watch the uncharted waterways."
Messi Grion nodded in satisfaction. "Then each of you should focus on your own job. When the next storm arrives, Kevin will die."
Not long after, the Daddy Cannon reached the first deserted island.
Unfortunately, there were still no Eldritch Entities living on the island.
With no other choice, Kevin and the others cleared out the nearby Eldritch Entities and dropped anchor early to rest.
With the new battleship armor, normal Eldritch Entities could not get within a hundred meters of the Daddy Cannon.
As promised, Kevin and Amelia were spending the night together.
Suddenly, Amelia let out a sharp cry and wrapped herself around Kevin, holding tightly to his back and hips.
Just as Kevin was enjoying the moment, a huge point of light suddenly appeared in his mind.
A powerful Survivor was approaching.
Kevin frowned. While listening to Amelia’s breathing beside him, he watched the light closely.
Very quickly, he confirmed it. The light was moving directly toward them.
Damn it. They can lock onto my position from 2,500 kilometers away.
Kevin cursed silently. He patted Amelia on the hip, then quickly got up.
"What is it, honey?" Amelia looked at Kevin sleepily.
"We’ve been found." Kevin got dressed as fast as he could. "A powerful light is approaching us. It is even brighter than Draven’s was."
Amelia understood what that meant. The tired look disappeared from her face, and she quickly began getting dressed as well.
Soon, the crew of the Daddy Cannon gathered on the bridge.
Kevin quickly spread out a sea map and began marking it.
Every five minutes, he placed another X on the map.
Monchhichi and Raphael quietly did the calculations beside him. Before long, their faces turned grim.
"Darling, did we offend some country’s air force?" Monchhichi asked. "That person is flying at nearly Mach 1."
Everyone on the bridge gasped.
Mach 1 was about 600 nautical miles per hour. In other words, the enemy would reach the airspace above the Daddy Cannon in around four hours.
At that moment, Toti’s pipe slipped from his mouth and fell onto the table. He licked his lips.
"Captain, can you sense the location of missiles?"
Kevin’s face darkened. "Of course not. I’m not some all-powerful radar."
In truth, Kevin could only use his Navigator Talent to sense a Survivor’s location and strength.
The approaching person was clearly powerful, but Kevin had no idea where that power came from.
If the enemy had a mechanical-type Talent, they could fire missiles at Kevin from hundreds of kilometers away. Kevin would have no way to detect or track them.
So, Kevin immediately activated the Daddy Cannon’s holographic radar.
However, even after Kevin had installed the most advanced holographic phased-array radar on the ship, its detection range was only four hundred kilometers.
Thinking of this, Kevin became anxious. He could not allow such a threat to get close to the Daddy Cannon.
He immediately summoned two two-seat carrier fighter jets.
"Nova, Celula, patrol within four hundred kilometers of the Daddy Cannon. Try to draw in as many Eldritch Entities as you can."
"If that person gets close, do everything you can to hold them back."
Amelia frowned. "What about you?"
Kevin’s face turned cold. "I’m going to meet them myself. Until I know whether they mean to attack us, I want to keep the meeting at least four hundred kilometers away from the Daddy Cannon."
With that, Kevin climbed into one of the carrier fighter jets. Eliana went with him, and they flew into the sky.
Nova and Celula pouted, then climbed into the cockpits of the other jets.
Fortunately, Kevin had spent the last few days teaching them how to fly.
They slowly pushed the controls forward. The fighter jets sped down the runway, lifted into the air, and headed toward the distant sky.
Five hundred kilometers away, Kevin flew his carrier fighter through the sky at an altitude of one thousand meters.
Through his Navigator Talent, he could sense that the powerful Survivor was getting closer and closer.
Kevin frowned. Then an idea suddenly came to him.
Could this person be coming after me?
To test it, Kevin changed direction.
About half an hour later, the Survivor changed direction too.
Kevin slammed his fist against the dashboard.
Damn it. They really are coming for me.
But this was actually better. At least the Daddy Cannon would not get involved.
Kevin pushed the fighter to full speed and flew in another direction.
The bright light from the powerful Survivor flickered. Then the person sped up and chased after Kevin.
Huh. They are really in a hurry.
Fine. Let’s see what they can do.
Kevin opened his sea map and quickly picked a deserted island he had visited before.
The island was nearby. Kevin arrived first, then sat down on a large rock by the shore.
He waited calmly, meditating as he waited for the Survivor to arrive.
Suddenly, a dark shape appeared on the distant horizon and grew closer.
It came with a powerful wind and a green glow. Even from more than ten kilometers away, Kevin could feel the sharp wind hitting his face.
Eliana, who had been standing guard beside Kevin, suddenly reacted.
Her eyes widened. "There’s someone flying while standing on a sword."
Kevin immediately stood up as well.
He stared toward the horizon. His body was now far stronger than an ordinary person’s, and his eyesight was much better too.
He focused on the figure and soon saw an East Asian man flying toward them on a long sword.
The man looked calm and graceful, like a legendary sword immortal from Eastern stories.
Wait. A sword immortal?
"Damn it. It’s him." Kevin recognized him at once.
Kevin had seen this man in his previous life.
He was an extremely powerful Survivor. He could fly through the sky, move across the sea, and travel anywhere with ease, almost like a god. Wherever he went, Eldritch Entities fled. Any that were too slow were killed by the flying sword he controlled.
That flying sword was the blade beneath his feet. It obeyed his commands completely and could kill anything at supersonic speed.
It also carried powerful magical effects, making it very hard to defend against.
Kevin blinked and sighed to himself.
To be honest, he did not know the man’s name.
But in his previous life, this man had been one of the powerful people Kevin admired most.
Now, in this life, he had the chance to face one of his old idols in battle. A strong fighting spirit rose in Kevin’s heart.
"Let’s find out how big the gap between us really is."
As he spoke, the Wheels of Flame & Wind beneath his feet began to spin at high speed. Kevin rose into the air, already holding the Lance of Longinus in his hand.
The man in the distance, Bruce Lee, noticed Kevin as well.
He looked surprised and thought, No wonder he is a legend on the battle rankings. He noticed me long ago.
Bruce Lee slowed his flying sword and approached Kevin slowly. He put his hands together in a traditional greeting.
"Mr. Kevin, I have the right person, don’t I?"
Kevin looked at the East Asian man in front of him and frowned. "What do you want with me?"
"My name is Bruce Lee. I came here because I want to learn from you for a while." Bruce Lee lowered his head slightly, keeping his hands together in the traditional Eastern greeting.
Kevin looked at the flying sword beneath Bruce Lee’s feet. Like Kevin’s Wheels of Flame & Wind, it carried its owner through the air.
An idea came to Kevin.
If that sword can fly at supersonic speed, could the Wheels of Flame & Wind do the same?
Kevin quietly made up his mind. He had to find a chance to help Celula improve her Talent.
