Chapter 127: Whipping the Evil God
"Of course." Lilith grumbled as she searched through the Eldritch marketplace. Soon, she found a pearl necklace.
[Mermaid Princess’s Guardian Heart: B - Tier Eldritch Artifact, one - time use item. Blocks all mental intrusion and possession for 24 hours.]
Kevin took the B - Tier Eldritch Artifact, weighed it in his hand, and asked, "Nothing better?"
Lilith rolled her eyes. "You only gave me one A - Tier Eldritch Artifact. All I can give you is a B - Tier one worth a ninth of that. You cheated me this time, so no discount!"
"Cheap!" Kevin sighed.
Right now, he didn’t have many A - Tier items to trade with Lilith.
The A - Tier items he got back from opening Eldritch marketplace chests with other [covenant - bearers] - Lilith wouldn’t take those.
Kevin had no choice but to keep the necklace for now and put it on Nova.
Kevin had planned to take a break, but that was out the window.
To completely deal with Pelosi’s threat to Nova, Kevin had to grit his teeth and go after the Survivors still chasing him.
"I need to buy a strong enough mental defense item within 24 hours! Let’s lock onto the targets first," Kevin said, and immediately activated his [Navigator] Talent.
With his current sensing range, he could cover an area of 2,500 nautical miles around him.
Soon, glowing coordinates appeared in Kevin’s mind, one by one.
They were scattered, not grouped together like Franky and Nami’s crew.
Kevin frowned. He wasn’t sure which of these Survivors were coming for him and which were innocent.
He wasn’t exactly a good guy, but he couldn’t bring himself to hurt innocent people.
"Looks like I’ll have to bait them out," Kevin said. He picked up Nova and flew back to the "Daddy" Cannon.
The girls gathered around him.
They were stunned by the power Nova had just shown, but when they saw the cold look in Kevin’s eyes, they quickly stepped aside.
"Kevin, how’s Nova?" Luna was the first to come over, handing him a bottle of [Tear of the Goddess].
Kevin fed the [Tear of the Goddess] into Nova’s mouth and said in amazement, "An evil god just possessed Nova. And I think less than one - thousandth of that evil god’s power was actually projected over."
Luna’s eyes trembled. "Evil god?"
Eliana, standing nearby, also looked scared. "Is it something like Lord Soros?"
Kevin frowned. "No. Lilith said that thing is even scarier than Soros."
He turned to Raphael and Monchhichi. "I need to gather enough loot as fast as possible. I have to trade with Lilith for something that can protect Nova’s soul before the twenty - four hours are up."
Kevin looked down at Nova’s necklace and gritted his teeth. "Within two thousand five hundred nautical miles around us, there are over a thousand Survivors. If each crew has about ten people, that means at least a hundred ships are sailing nearby."
"Spread the word as fast as you can. Give out our coordinates. Let them come to us."
Raphael was stunned. "You want to use yourself as bait and draw enough Survivors here?"
"Exactly. We’re still in our break period. The only way to kill enough Eldritch Entities is to rely on other crews," Kevin said.
Monchhichi nodded but looked confused. "But can we really get all those people to come near us within a day?"
"Most ships travel at about fifteen to twenty knots. That means they can cover at most four hundred and eighty nautical miles in twenty - four hours. And that’s if they’re going full speed, non - stop."
Kevin nodded. "That’s why we need to head to the center of the densest area first."
He pulled out a map and marked a spot. "Here. Six hundred nautical miles away. The distance from those groups to this spot is about the same. They’ll make it just in time."
Toti walked over, did the math, and nodded. "No problem. Our ship can hold a steady top speed of twenty - six knots. Six hundred miles? We’ll get there in less than a day."
Kevin ordered everyone to set off that night.
Inside the Captain’s Cabin.
Kevin laid Nova down on the bed.
The necklace around her neck was already starting to look dull.
No doubt about it - Pelosi was trying to break into Nova’s soul.
It seemed that as long as Pelosi kept attacking Nova’s soul, Nova wouldn’t wake up. Even the [Mermaid Princess’s Guardian Heart] she was wearing wasn’t helping.
Thinking about this, Kevin’s expression darkened.
He wasn’t sure if the [Mermaid Princess’s Guardian Heart] could really hold out for the full twenty - four hours.
"I need to make Pelosi behave."
Kevin took out a bunch of heavy iron chains from the [Mechanical Kingdom] and wrapped them around Nova.
He tied her hands and feet to the wall.
Then he stripped Nova’s clothes off and stuffed a piece of cloth into her mouth.
Right now, Nova looked like a girl who had just been through a storm and a beating. She had a strange, tempting beauty to her.
Kevin smirked when he saw her like this.
To be honest, he and Nova had never played a game this wild before.
"Looks like Pelosi gets to enjoy this first," Kevin said, raising his right hand. A long whip appeared in his grip.
He gently pulled off the [Mermaid Princess’s Guardian Heart] from Nova’s neck.
Suddenly, Nova’s eyes snapped open.
Her pupils turned blood - red. Darkness crept into the whites of her eyes.
She let out a muffled groan and realized her mouth was stuffed.
Mm! Mm!
Kevin saw veins popping up on Nova’s body and knew - Pelosi had arrived.
"Lord Evil God, how do you like my little setup?" Kevin said with a cold laugh, and swung the whip hard.
Crack!
A red mark appeared across Nova’s chest.
Pelosi frowned. She could feel the pain.
Kevin saw that and thought, This might actually work.
Crack!
He kept lashing. Pelosi struggled furiously in anger.
But the chains Kevin used were anchor chains meant for ships. They were thicker than Pelosi’s own thighs.
Crack!
Desperate, Pelosi tried to channel more power through. "Damn you, Kevin! Just you wait!"
Crack!
"Just you wait. Once I send more of my power over, you’re dead for sure," Pelosi growled through the pain, trying to channel more of her strength.
Crack!
Kevin’s whip made Pelosi tremble and twist violently. "I’ll kill you! You dare strip me naked and whip me? I’ll make you die!"
Pelosi screamed inside her own mind.
But Kevin didn’t care about her threatening glare. He kept swinging the whip, again and again.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
By the time dozens of red welts covered her body, Pelosi finally managed to channel a new wave of power.
A mental shockwave shot toward Kevin.
Kevin had expected this move.
He immediately summoned a Bear Form Mist Phantom to block the first wave.
The Mist Phantom took the hit and dissolved into smoke.
Then Kevin activated Damage Split.
The mental shockwave was spread across every [Covenant Bearer] on the "Daddy" Cannon. The leftover damage wasn’t enough to kill anyone.
A single bottle of [Tear of the Goddess] would heal them all right up.
Pelosi launched three more waves of mental attacks, but none of them stopped Kevin’s rampage. He just kept swinging.
Kevin: "You’re an evil god, huh? Real tough, huh?"
Crack!
Pelosi: "Mmm! Mmm!"
Kevin: "You still dare to hit me with mental attacks?"
Crack!
Pelosi: "Mmm! Mmm!"
Kevin kept whipping her while watching her reactions closely.
Finally, Kevin saw a look of madness flash in Pelosi’s eyes.
"Kevin, I’m going to kill you right now!" Pelosi screamed inside her mind. She was already getting ready for her next attack.
But Kevin didn’t give her the chance.
He knew he might not be able to block her next hit. So before Pelosi could make a move, Kevin rushed forward and put the [Mermaid Princess’s Guardian Heart] necklace back around Nova’s neck.
Pelosi stared at Kevin in shock. She couldn’t believe what he just did.
As her power started fading, she realized the [Mermaid Princess’s Guardian Heart] was pushing her out.
She finally understood. Kevin had lured her here on purpose just to torture her.
So Pelosi pushed through her weakness and warned Kevin with her mind: "Just wait. I won’t let you get away with this. I’ll take over Nova’s body right in front of you. I’ll make your own woman cut you into pieces."
Kevin just rolled his eyes at the weak threat. "Fine. I’ll give you a chance."
He pulled the [Mermaid Princess’s Guardian Heart] off Nova’s neck.
Right away, Pelosi felt her power come rushing back.
She lifted her head a little and stared at Kevin, confused.
She didn’t understand why Kevin would take off the necklace. Wasn’t he afraid she’d kill him?
While Pelosi was still trying to figure it out, Kevin had already pulled down his pants and entered her body.
Pelosi felt a tingle of numbness and pleasure down below.
Then Kevin started moving inside her.
Pelosi let out a few muffled moans. For a moment, she forgot to attack him.
When she finally came to her senses, she realized Kevin was screwing her again. "You damn human! You’re defiling a god again! I’ll kill you!"
