Chapter 189: Special woman in my life
"Now for the main event, I and my darling wife," Ming Tao continued, he turned around to look at Mira when he mentioned her then he returned his attention back to the crowd. "Are here to let you in on a little secret. One that you will never see coming!" Ming Tao announced.
Mira just stayed put and watched him talk like a host of a ted show. It seemed like Ming Tao did not want anyone to have the slightest clue on what this ’little secret’ was from where Mira was watching and that was indeed a good plan. Till the very end, he was sure to make sure no one would inform Hye Yang of anything fishy going on.
A woman made her presence shown at the centre where Mira and Ming Tao was at. Thinking of the devil, Mira said to herself as she sighted Hye Yang.
Hye Yang was elegantly dressed in a fur bra and a longer fur skirt that stopped mid thighs. The skirt had a shredded slit at once side and she looked beautiful coupled with her jewels and nicely styled hair. Mira pouted when her eyes studied her sister from head to toe, it was a pity that Hye Yang was ugly on the inside, if inner beauty was visible to the eyes and nose, the Hye Yang would be a sour sight and a rotten smell.
Mira turned her gaze away from her sister and let it rest on her husband. He beaconed at Hye Yang to come to him. Hye Yang flashed Mira a knowing glance before walking to Ming Tao’s side.
Mira nearly bursted out laughing. Hye Yang had a confident smile on her face and she looked like someone who had the upper hand here.
She must probably think that he wants to announce their ’relationship’ to everyone present in the cheetah clan tonight. Maybe that is why she was dressed as nicely as she did, Mira said to herself, little does Hye Yang know that Ming Tao has plans to kill her tonight.
Mira was fighting so hard to not laugh aloud at the irony, she did not want to be the one to ruin the big surprise.
Ming Tao stretched his hand out for Hye Yang to hold onto. Everyone present in the crowd watched in awe. Hye Yang’s cheeks had a faint pink hue at his gesture. She took a careful glance at everyone present in the crowd before taking Ming Tao’s hand. Now Ming Tao pulled her to him then bowed gently.
Mira felt her jaw clench as she watched this. She did not know what he was going to do next but it sure sucked to be at the front table watching her husband hold another woman this way. Especially a woman who tried to end her life. TWICE!!
[ Warning! Host’s anger levels are skyrocketing!
Try to keep a leveled head host! ] popped up on the screen before Mira. Mira let out a scoff, if this was a warning of her anger skyrocketing, then system had not seen anything yet.
[ Hehe. ] system chimed.
This made Mira blink. System just read her mind get all it did was laugh? That was even scarier than system not saying a damn word.
What are you up to, system? Mira asked in her head and waited. System said nothing to her. This made Mira’s jaw come slack, of course, typical.
She returned her attention back to Ming Tao. Ming Tao bowed down slowly before Hye Yang and crouched lower till his face was right in front of the back of her palm. He pushed his lips forward then pressed his mouth on the back of Hye Yang’s palm.
Mira heard murmurs and gasps erupt in the environment but she said nothing. Hye Yang’s face reddened even more. She tried to act innocent and perplexed but Mira knew that there was more to that look. It was satisfaction in knowing that her plan had succeeded and she had gotten the Mighty Cheetah right where she wanted him to be.
Mira let out a low scowl. Little did Hye Yang know that she was about to be set up.
Ming Tao arose from his position. He did not pull Hye Yang any closer to him but he still kept her hand on his. "Beast ladies and gentlemen, you traveled far and wide to celebrate a feast with us in the Cheetah Clan but I am not sure you know why you have journeyed this far." Ming Tao said.
He pulled Hye Yang forward with a gentle tug while keeping the distance between and she allowed herself to be moved in front of him.
Hye Yang looked like a bride waiting to be proposed to because she knew that her fiancé would propose. This made Mira roll her eyes. Back on earth and in the beast world, fake people still acted the same.
"I am here to introduce someone who has left a remarkable impression in me for so long and during her short stay with me in the cheetah clan." Ming Tao stated. He was taking his darn time announcing this and right now, even Mira was starting to anticipate what would happen next. Her nerves were skyrocketing and mixed with her anger at him being that close to her, she was not sure it was a good thing.
[ Be patient, host! The fun is about to begin! ] System chimed. Mira saw the blob on the screen bounce up and down then sideways. System seemed to be way too chirpy like it knew what was about to happen next. Mira had no damn idea and it was eating at her mind little by little. She was beginning to wonder who was actually being played here and her mind panged with guilt at the thought. She needed to give her dearest husband the benefit of the doubt, after all, there was no way he had let himself be hypnotised twice. . . . . right?
"And I kid you not, this person I am about to announce played a very important part in every single thing I will list out bit by bit. Including enchanting me to join her in a life I never thought would be possible to have." Ming Tao continued.
The beast crowd now were stunned and the murmur rose louder. They tried to control the chatter exchanges among them so it does not go into a full blown loud conversation but it was getting hard to stay quiet.
"The only one who has made it to my heart so far and left a remarkable mark that could never go away." Ming Tao added. He played so craftily with his words that it went straight to Hye Yang’s ego.
In fact, he fed her ego so damn much that she was about to speak. Hye Yang put a hand on her waist and tilted her chin high. Her chest puffed out slightly and an evil smile made its way to her lips at Ming Tao’s announcement. She was so sure she had captured the Mighty Cheetah’s heart.
All of her hard work was not in vain and soon, she would be the one called the wife of the Mighty Cheetah and not her pregnant, good for nothing sister. Hye Yang turned her head back to look at Mira. Because so many people surrounded them, she did not make her pride obvious but she knew Mira could feel it. Hye Yang knew her sister would burn at this and the first thing that she would do once Ming Tao had officially announced her as his to the beast people would be to kick Mira Yang and that dumb thing growing in her belly out of the cheetah clan.
Hye Yang’s banishment from the lion clan was gone and with Jia Hao away, she also had freedom to enter the pride land as much as she pleased. After she had gotten rid of the mother, she would go after Mira Yang’s children next. Hye Yang’s smile widened. Her plan flashed before her eyes and she saw herself already succeeded.
First husband she charmed was Ming Tao, soon, it will be the other four and she would win their hearts as well as warm their beds till she was the only fertile female present in their life and Mira was forced to forfeit her title.
Hye Yang returned her gaze forward, as her eyes gazed and the crowd before her, she felt the power already. She felt what it would be like to rule over so many domains in the beast world and to think it all started with hypnosis was the best part.
Hye Yang felt Ming Tao’s fingers rub her palm, it was then her head snapped back to what he was saying. He was still praising her, saying what she meant to him. Hye Yang listened attentively.
"As well as the one who manipulated the progress the Cheetah clan worked so hard to achieve and attacked me. The one who tried to abort the true born babies of the lion king Jia Hao as well as kill her own blood sister, my wife."
