Ni Mengxue’s lips curled upward. "Only you have seen my warm side."

Before Lu Yucai could respond, she leaned down and pressed her lips against his.

Lu Yucai froze for a moment. His ears quickly turned red.

Ni Mengxue pulled away with a satisfied smile. "Now, let’s go."

The journey in the beginning was so smooth that all the people sitting inside the RV and following behind the RV were stunned.

They were on high alert, worried that low-level zombies might crowd them and attack them. Yet nothing happened.

Ni Mengxue observed everything and wrote it down in her notebook. It was her guess that whenever a zombie tide was about to arrive, the surrounding area would become clear.

She had even come up with a possibility that the zombie tides are led by zombie kings. And these zombie kings summon all the zombies to a certain location.

In a battle, whichever side becomes scared first will lose out the most. If this principle was something a mere zombie king was applying, then there was a high chance that all of the zombie kings had retained their human intelligence and emotions.

But if that was the case, why are they still attacking the humans? Some might do it out of spite and some out of revenge... however, what about later on?

And if they don’t have intelligence, then why are they summoning all the zombies back? Was it instincts?

Taking a deep breath, Ni Mengxue looked at Lu Yucai, who was asleep, and entered her industrial space. Today she was planning to make the electric fence.

As long as it was finished, then her base would become immune to level 10 zombies.

The electric fence required several components: metal posts, conductive wire, insulators, a high-voltage power unit, and a control system.

Fortunately, the system store had almost everything she needed.

Ni Mengxue purchased the materials and placed them inside the industrial workshop.

She first used galvanised steel pipes to make the fence posts. The workshop automatically cut them to equal lengths and sharpened their bases so they could be driven firmly into the ground.

Next, she installed ceramic insulators along each post and ran several strands of conductive wire between them.

The wires were placed at different heights, creating multiple layers of protection. She then connected the fence to a high-voltage power unit.

"System, how much voltage can it produce?"

[Maximum output: 500,000 volts.]

Ni Mengxue’s eyes lit up. "That should be enough."

She adjusted the output and added an automatic control system. If the fence was damaged or the power supply failed, an alarm would immediately notify the guards.

Finally, she installed a grounding system to prevent the electricity from spreading into the base.

The workshop quickly completed the remaining work.

Ni Mengxue looked at the finished design with satisfaction.

The electric fence was simple but extremely powerful.

Anything that touched the energised wires would receive a powerful electric shock.

"Perfect. System, can you install these electric wires in Fair Shallow Land?"

[1000 merit points would be required for installation. Your current balance doesn’t have sufficient balance.]

Gritting her teeth, she said, "Lend me 1000 merit points? I will repay it."

The next second, the electric wires were engulfed by bright light and vanished from their spot.

[Ding! Installation successful! Please pay 1000 merit points within the next 2 months; otherwise, an interest of 500 merit points will be placed.]

Ignoring it, Ni Mengxue harvested another batch of plants from her space and looked around curiously. When she didn’t see any spirit, she pouted and murmured,

"Looks like it’s a shy one."

Thinking about spices, she asked, "System, can you lend me a few merit points for the seasoning garden? My seasoning packets are about to run out!"

No response.

Ni Mengxue sighed. From the botanical garden to the seasoning garden or even orchards would require separate unlocking. She had even calculated the total sum and realised she would need at least 500,000 merit points to unlock everything.

She even guessed that there must be a spiritual spring in the space... but then again... it might require an astronomical sum of merit points.

After exiting the space, she realised that it was already the afternoon of the next day. Her eyes clashed straight with Lu Yucai, who was sitting in a wheelchair with a thoughtful expression.

Relief flickered in his eyes when he saw Ni Mengxue appear.

"I was scared silly! I thought you were outside, but when I didn’t see you... I..." He stopped midway and changed his sentence, "Anyways, next time you leave... let me know."

He didn’t ask where she disappeared and even hid the shock.

Ni Mengxue smiled and explained, "It is my space. My spatial ability gives me a separate dimension. Do you want to enter?"

"I..." Lu Yucai’s pupil dilated before he looked around with a cautious expression. "You... keep your voice down! What if someone hears? And why are you telling me? Mengxue, you should hide such precious things!"

His anxiety was palpable even to Ni Mengxue, who waved her hand. The scene around them changed instantly, making Lu Yucai stunned.

"See, this is my agricultural space." She pointed at the brown patch of land which were just sown.

Before Lu Yucai could speak, he was teleported out, making Ni Mengxue stunned.

The only people having access to her space were her and the system. She had willingly let Lu Yucai enter, and even the system didn’t flash any warning, so it wasn’t the system.

The only one remaining was...

Her eyes narrowed, and she shouted at the air in front of her,

"What the fuck, Mr Spirit? Did you just kick my husband out?"

No response.

"Fine. Don’t reply. I will keep on bringing my husband inside and let you kick him out till you run out of energy. And when I catch you, I will absorb your cultivation."

As if provoked by her words, a deep, thunderous voice echoed,

"You dare? Then I will wait and see you getting burnt to ashes! Stupid bitch."
