Chapter 114: GET HIM OUT OF HERE!

Seara stayed with Leia in one of the apartment buildings that belonged to Zade. She was sitting in the living room, pulling her legs up and hugging them tightly.

Whenever someone walked inside, she would lift her head and look at them expectantly, but it was not Zade who came, and the look of disappointment was so clear on her face.

"It’s okay, honey. Zade will come." Leia tried to get Seara to eat something, but she didn’t even touch her drink and became very quiet. She was withdrawn.

At some point, she started biting her nails.

"Seara, don’t do that," Leia said. She pulled her hand away, but she saw her thumb was bleeding because she bit it too deep. "Oh, honey. Wait for a while; don’t bite your nails again," Leia warned her sternly.

Thankfully, when Leia returned with a bandage, Seara didn’t bite her fingers, but she kept rocking her body back and forth.

She didn’t say anything about how worried she was about Zade or ask about him. However, you could tell she was distressed.

Seara had changed her dress into simple jeans and a blouse, and she had cleaned herself up. The cut on her palm had been tended to as well.

"Don’t worry, Zade will be here. He will be fine." Leia caressed Seara’s hair lightly; she kissed her head and felt worried for her too.

Her motherly instinct made Leia cook something light for her, soup, so that she could fill her stomach, but Seara didn’t want to eat that.

"Eat this first. You will feel better," Leia said. She thought Seara couldn’t sleep; she looked as if she could be awake for two days straight, so she didn’t ask her that. "I will ask the warrior about the situation at the hotel, but you have to eat first," Leia coaxed her.

Only then did Seara move and eat her soup; she did it almost absentmindedly, as if this were something she had to get done.

"Be careful, Seara; it is still hot," Leia said worriedly when she saw Seara spooning the soup while it was still wafting.

Seara slowed down, but she still glanced at the door occasionally. She grew more agitated with each passing minute.

"Wait here for a while, okay? I will ask someone about the situation." Leia stood up, but she kissed Seara’s head as she did.

She didn’t know why, but she had this urge to hug her and to cradle her. After their dinner that night, when the residence was attacked, she couldn’t help but keep thinking about her.

"Jane?" Leia saw Jane walk toward her when she stepped out of the suite. There were several warriors in the corridor. "Is there some news?"

Leia was also worried about her mate; she couldn’t contact Caspian because he wouldn’t take a call right now.

But the warrior who was with him said he was doing fine; they managed to quell the retaliation from the warriors of the three packs by capturing their betas and gammas.

Without the betas and gammas, the warriors couldn’t move on their own, especially when their alphas’ whereabouts were unknown.

Jane also filled Leia with new information about the situation at the hotel.

"No, Zephyr still couldn’t get through the building. They had not yet managed to put out the fire. They didn’t know how Zade was." Jane sighed deeply.

For humans, it was just a fire in one of the city’s famous hotels, but for the shifters, it was more than that.

There were riots on the streets, away from the humans’ eyes; the three packs were under close watch for their attempt to rebel against the Lycans.

After the alliance with the three main packs had fallen apart, the other twenty packs had been trying to find an opportunity to form a closer alliance with the Lycans.

However, it was hard to tell whether they would accept Seara as Zade’s mate, knowing her condition.

"Where is Jeremy?" Leia asked. She had called Ace an hour ago. Ace said Jeremy was with him and he was injured, so they were in the hospital now, but Leia couldn’t reach him again after that.

"I have called Rio. Jeremy is fine; he is under his care, but Ace had to leave, so he left Jeremy with one warrior. Rio and the warrior will send him here once he can move." Jane reassured Leia; she knew how much she was worried about her second son.

But before they could continue the conversation, they heard a loud noise from inside the suite, followed by Seara’s scream.

Both Leia and Jane, along with four warriors there, immediately entered the room.

The four warriors walked ahead of Leia and Jane; one warrior stayed back to prevent the two women from coming closer, while another one had shifted into his wolf form; the other two were looking for any potential danger.

However, once they were inside, they couldn’t find anything except for Seara, who had thrown her bowl of soup against the television, leaving an ugly crack on the screen.

She was screaming her head off, saying something like, ’Get away from me! Stay away from me!’

"Seara? Honey, what happened?" Out of instinct, Leia wanted to get closer to Seara, but the warrior stopped her.

"Don’t; she can hurt you." The warrior knew about Seara’s condition and was about to ask Jane to check on her instead.

But Jane had moved before the warrior asked. She came toward Seara calmly, while she was still screaming at a certain spot in the room.

"Seara, what happened?" Jane stood three steps away from her. She saw Seara had destroyed not only the bowl but also the table. She turned it upside down, and the glass on top of it had shattered on the floor.

Some of the sharp shards had cut her leg, but she didn’t seem to notice the bleeding.

"Get him out of here!" Seara said in frustration.

"Who?" Jane looked around; no stranger was there.
