Chapter 115: HE WAS THERE!

In this moment, Seara felt a lot of things at once. Her senses were overwhelmed by everything around her, including the wind brushing against her skin. She was not only overwhelmed by the noise outside but also by a sense of quietness.

The way Leia tried to comfort her was too much. She didn’t know how to react. It felt like a paradox; she felt everything, but at the same time, she felt numb.

Sometimes, she didn’t feel anything, but other times she felt so aggravated. She tried to calm her nerves and breathe the way Jane told her, yet it didn’t help.

She wanted Zade to be there, and thinking that something might have happened to him was unbearable for her.

Leia’s reassurance didn’t help either, because she knew she was lying. Leia was also worried; she couldn’t say for sure or even guarantee that Zade was fine. They didn’t get any new information about his situation, and Seara was well aware of that.

However, when her emotions were all over the place, she saw him again, the man with red eyes.

He was sitting right in front of her all of a sudden, as if he just materialized out of thin air. He was smiling at her with that devilish smirk. His skin was as pale as paper, which created a striking contrast with his red eyes and short black hair.

"How is the soup? Is it good?" He asked, leaning forward to inspect the soup that Leia had cooked for her.

Seara was stunned to see him again. She looked around, and she was alone. This man would appear whenever she was alone. When she tried to see his reflection in the window, she couldn’t see it, just as she couldn’t see the reflection of that woman with golden eyes.

"No," Seara mumbled to herself as she continued eating her soup. Leia had told her that she would give her the information about Zade if she finished her food, so Seara was determined to finish it and asked Leia about Zade. "No, you are not real."

"Seara, you are so rude," the man said in a sing-a-song voice. "How can you say that I am not real when I am right in front of you? Can’t you see how real I am?"

Seara ignored him. She remembered she had not yet gotten her medicine.

With all the chaos around her, medicine was the least of her concerns at the moment. But was it because of the medicine that she started seeing things again? She ignored what the man said and pretended he was not there.

However, she couldn’t continue with her pretention when the man touched her hand, as he was about to take the spoon from her and she felt his cold hand against her skin.

Seara jolted. It felt so real. Was he real?

Seara glanced at the glass window again, but all she could see was her own reflection staring back with horror in her eyes.

This man was not real. He was not here, but she could feel his cold touch.

"Can I taste your soup too?" The man asked. He started to eat the soup that Leia had cooked for her. He ate the soup! He chewed the chicken, and it looked very real; Seara didn’t imagine that. "This is good." He nodded in satisfaction. "I will not finish it; here, eat more." He pushed the bowl onto Seara again.

"Get away from here," Seara said sharply. "Get lost!" She hissed viciously at him.

"Don’t be too harsh with me, Seara. I didn’t do anything to you, right?" He tilted his head. "Why are you being so mean to me? Here, eat your food again."

The man scooped a spoonful of soup and offered it to Seara, but that was the time when she grabbed the bowl and threw it at him.

The man dodged it easily, and the bowl hit the television screen; it cracked.

"You have to rein in your temper, Seara," he chuckled in delight, as if Seara’s anger were entertaining for him. "People don’t like it when you are angry easily."

"Shut up! Get lost!" Seara started screaming at him, but he laughed even more, as if her reaction were so funny; it only fueled her anger.

This man was only in her head, but why did he feel so real? Why couldn’t she stop seeing him? No one would believe her if she said that she was seeing something that was not there. When she told Jane, she didn’t seem to believe her either.

"Get away from me! Get lost! GET. THE. FUCK. OFF!" Seara flipped the table where the man was leaning over. He flickered out of her sight, leaving her with the mess of sharp shards scattered on the floor around her.

Seara looked around and found him at the corner of the room; he was smiling sweetly and even waving his hand, as if he were mocking her.

"Get lost! Get out of my sight!" Seara lost it. She thought she was finally fine, but it was so far from it.

That was when Leia, Jane, and the other four warriors entered the room, and the man vanished completely. Thus, the only thing they could see was Seara losing her mind, screaming in empty space like a mad woman.

"Seara, don’t move; you will hurt yourself," Jane warned her, because there were so many broken glasses around her. "It’s okay. Tell me what happened."

"There was a man there! He was there!" Seara pointed to the corner of the room, where she had seen him the last time. "He was there!"

"Seara, there is no one there..." Jane said in a coaxing tone.

Seara knew that Jane didn’t believe her. Jane must have thought she was hallucinating again, just as when she said she saw Sybill and Sheena.

Jane was there when Seara learned that Sybill was only in her mind, and it must look the same.
