Chapter 116: WE NEED TO TAKE HIM DOWN

"HE IS THERE! I AM NOT SEEING THINGS! HE IS REAL!" Seara screamed at Jane, which didn’t help with her case. It only made her look even unhinged, but Jane was very calm when she faced her.

"Okay, tell me more about this person," Jane said, engaging Seara in conversation. "Search for anyone in the house," she said to the other four warriors, and they did what they were told.

However, they were sure that no one was there; if there were a stranger inside, they would have picked up their scent right away, yet they did it anyway when they saw how Seara had freaked out.

"You will not find him... he has gone."

"Where has he gone, Seara?" Jane took a few steps closer as she carefully guided Seara away from the broken glass.

Leia stood still behind them, watching firsthand how Seara had a breakdown and was spiraling.

"He appeared out of thin air. He just appeared and disappeared." Seara was frustrated because when she said it out loud, it did sound crazy even for herself. "You don’t believe me, do you?" Her question sounded like an accusation.

"I believe you."

"You believe me seeing that man, but you don’t think that man is real, right?" Seara voiced out what was in Jane’s mind. They had talked about everything, and Seara was not stupid enough not to pick up some of Jane’s traits and the way she thought.

"Seara, let’s talk about this, okay? You are under so much stress, and I realize you have not taken your medicine yet."

Jane took Seara into the room, and Leia followed them. Leia didn’t say anything, and Seara felt her stomach churn at the thought that Leia might be afraid of her and assume she was crazy.

"I will get a glass of water for you." Jane left for a while, leaving Leia and Seara alone.

"I am not crazy," Seara said in a trembling voice. "I swear, I am not crazy."

Leia was standing by the door; when she heard that, she crossed the room and hugged her as she had done with her son when Jeremy was little and crying because he had just had a nightmare.

"Oh, honey. I don’t think that way. You are not. There must be an explanation for that." Somehow, Leia felt her heart ached; she kissed her forehead and hugged her even tighter. "You are not crazy."

She knew how it felt when people thought something was wrong with her. She had a similar experience as well.

People thought she was crazy when she said her baby girl was still alive. She saw a nurse take her baby away, but at that time, she was in and out of consciousness, so her story didn’t hold up.

They had checked her baby, and she was hers, but she died.

For a few months, the thought haunted Leia, and she thought she would go crazy because she was seeing things and Leia couldn’t let go of the idea that her baby was still alive. Someone took her away.

Yet, the proof said otherwise. The baby that they buried was hers.

Leia only began to feel better after she had Jeremy. She didn’t want another baby girl because she was her only baby girl in her heart.

"You are not crazy, Seara. You are not crazy," Leia said, kissing her forehead. "I believe you." She couldn’t elaborate on how she believed her, but she simply did.

Even now, in the back of her head, she still believed her baby was alive, and she didn’t see things when she saw the nurse take her baby away.

Meanwhile, Seara cried in Leia’s arms. She was upset; she was angry, but she didn’t know what to do or how to vent this emotion. She felt awful.

Zephyr and three other warriors managed to enter the burning building in their wolf forms. Although the fire had been extinguished, there were still some smoldering spots inside the building that were dangerous.

They managed to get to the backyard, which was only accessible from the hotel, so when the fire happened, anyone inside would be trapped there, since there was no way around it.

And there, Zephyr saw a few dead bodies. He shifted into his human form and looked at the burned bodies closely.

"They were burned to a crisp," he cringed, and panic engulfed him because Zade could be among them.

However, even though these people’s bodies were burned, it was a little bit questionable to definitively say they were dead due to the fire, as some of the bodies were missing limbs.

Even some of them looked gutted, with their stomachs ripped open.

"I don’t think Zade is here," Zephyr said after quickly checking the area. He shifted back into his wolf form when the firefighters arrived to survey the scene and evacuate the dead bodies.

The four wolves were hidden from their sight and then disappeared quietly.

It was difficult to track Zade down because the strong smell of the burning building overpowered Zade’s scent. Zephyr tried to contact Ace, but Ace was too far away.

Yet, when he finally managed to get Ace, the royal beta’s voice sounded icy. [Get here, now.]

[What is it?]

[Altair is here. Asher is on the way here too.]

[What?] Zephyr immediately turned around and went back to where Ace was.

It must be something serious if the two Lycan kings were here. And when Zephyr got there, he learned how serious it was.

"I spotted him in my territory, killing two of my warriors as they stopped him from crossing the border. He killed so many people that he lost his mind to his beast, and we need to stop him," Altair said in a cold voice.

"He was attacked; he had no other choice but to fight back."

"That doesn’t excuse the fact that he had gone mad again." Altair narrowed his eyes. "We need to take him down this time."
