Chapter 120: THE MATE BOND WILL PROTECT HER

Jane managed to get Zade’s location; he was in the Iron Fangs Pack, where the two Lycan kings were there as well.

Knowing that, Leia convinced Jane to go there with Seara. She knew it would be risky and dangerous, and she also felt bad because she used Seara as an excuse to see her mate and her son.

If Zade were there, obviously, Caspian, Jeremy, and Ace would be there as well. As a mother, she couldn’t sit still in the apartment, protected and comfortable, while she knew all of her family was out there in danger.

She quietly apologized to Seara and convinced Jane to take Seara to Zade by selling the idea of the mate bond between Zade and Seara so hard that Jane finally agreed.

The journey to the Iron Fangs Pack would take at least two hours, but it took longer because they were stopped a few times by the police, since they shouldn’t be on the road. The announcement that had been broadcast made it clear that people were advised to stay inside the house.

The sudden appearance of the wolves had been reported in three cities, and in the meantime, they were in lockdown until they could clear the area of the wild wolves.

It was a phenomenon that had never happened before.

However, because Jane was a medical practitioner, she and the others managed to get a permit and continued to the Iron Fangs Pack.

At first, there was nothing wrong; there were a few police with their guns ready around the area, and police cars patrolled the area.

But all of a sudden, a black beast jumped on the car’s windshield and broke it.

"Ah!"

All of them screamed in panic. Jane, who was sitting in the shotgun seat, could see clearly that it was the alpha. She knew him in his beast form, and he tried to attack them.

In that split second, she thought she was going to die. The beast’s ferocity and murderous intent were clear as day. In the bright sunlight, you could see the wrath in his eyes.

But before the black beast could claw the driver and cause a serious injury, there was a white beast that lunged so quickly and tackled him down to the ground.

Jane didn’t know the second beast, but she was sure it was one of the Lycan kings because the Lycan beast and the werewolf were different in size, and they had a slight difference in shape.

"What’s that?" Leia was too shocked to speak, but when she saw Ace’s wolf, she immediately rushed out of the car. Of course, she noticed his wolf. She thought of him as her son, though in reality Ace was much older than her.

However, Leia was not the only one who noticed someone that she knew. Seara saw Zade’s beast when he shattered the windshield and froze for a moment because she was scared. But when she saw he was being tackled to the ground, she immediately jumped out of the car only to see a horrendous sight before her eyes.

The white beast had his claw pierced through Zade’s chest as the black beast struggled to knock him off of him.

And when Seara locked her eyes with him, the black beast roared angrily and clawed the other beast, taking a good chunk of flesh from his shoulder.

Seara staggered back when Zephyr’s and Ace’s wolves arrived. They fought the beast, and everything was simply chaos with five police officers rushing toward them with their guns drawn. However, they couldn’t aim properly because they noticed that four people were there.

"Move away from there! Move slowly! Get away!" One of the police officers fired a warning shot to divert the wolves’ attention from the four of them.

Of course, the police officers would see the four people as the ones in danger, even though they didn’t know the danger they faced had a different explanation.

In that moment, the black beast grabbed Seara’s arm and dragged her away.

Seara was shocked when the pain from her left hand erupted, and her body was being dragged on the hard asphalt to the bushes.

Seeing this, Zephyr and Ace, also the two Lycan kings, stopped fighting, and they chased after Zade again.

"Ma’am, are you okay?!" One of the police approached Leia and Jane, checking their condition, while the other checked on the warrior, who was unconscious behind the wheel after the windshield shattered on him.

"I am okay, okay." Leia was irritated; she wanted to go after Ace. She wondered where Jeremy and Caspian were. Not only that, but she was also scared shitless when she saw Zade take Seara away.

Needless to say, with the way the beast took her, she would have suffered serious injuries.

"Ma’am, you can’t leave. Please, come here. We will take you to a safe place," the police said, but Leia was too agitated; she was worried for Seara.

They had learned that Zade was not in his right mind and might therefore harm her. What would he do to her? He had killed so many people that his beast had grown stronger, so it wouldn’t come as a surprise if he killed Seara too.

Could the mate bond between them prevent that? Leia couldn’t answer that for sure; she was conflicted. Did she get it wrong?

"No, I have to check on my daughter!" Leia said hysterically when the police urged her to leave. What would happen to Seara? She was the one who insisted on coming here and convinced Jane. "My daughter was taken away!"

"We understand, Ma’am; we will get your daughter back."

Leia wanted to say something else, but Jane stopped her. "Let’s go. We need to leave for now." Jane grabbed Leia’s hand. "You said it yourself: the mate bond will protect her, right?"

Hearing that, Leia couldn’t help but feel guilty. She indeed said that.

"I..." Leia didn’t have a word to say.

"Let’s go," Jane said coldly.
