The entire truth was exposed, and Lin Beichen was furious.
"How shameless they are to do such despicable and filthy things!" Lin Beichen roared. The Western Church Court would resort to any means necessary to gain people’s faith.
What else could they possibly refrain from doing? As long as they could make the populace believe, they would commit any vile and shameless act without any boundaries.
To achieve their goals, they would use any means. Is this truly the right path? Could they not rely on the power of the Church Court itself to persuade people, instead of resorting to these disgraceful methods?

"Let’s see where you run to! I won’t rest until I eliminate you!" Lin Beichen muttered through gritted teeth as he chased.
James’s evil deeds incited Lin Beichen’s deep hatred; if James hadn’t committed such atrocities, Lin Beichen wouldn’t have been so furious.
Just as he was about to strike, an older man appeared before him; it was the village chief Lin Beichen had met earlier.
"Chief, why are you here?" Lin Beichen paused his attack on James, scratching his head curiously. Although he already sensed something unusual about the chief, he was still surprised to see him here.
"I sensed your intentions. Are you planning to kill him?" the village chief inquired.
"Yes, Chief. To bring the Western Church Court domestically, he used so many vile and shameless methods. Today I must deal with him to prevent future troubles. Otherwise, who knows what he might do next?" Lin Beichen openly admitted, not concealing his murderous intent.
"Listen to my advice, don’t kill him. It’s best not to harm him; if you do, it will undoubtedly ignite a sequence of consequences," the village chief advised.
The consequences Lin Beichen would learn of later. But as long as he refrained from harming James, he would never know what they were.
James had already prepared to fight Lin Beichen to the death, with no place to hide as Lin Beichen had already closed in on him.
Rather than continue hiding, he would confront Lin Beichen directly. Though aware he was no match, he figured he should at least try.
Unexpectedly, at the crucial moment, an old man appeared, advising against harming him; this took him completely by surprise.
He also felt a bit proud, knowing Lin Beichen feared the consequences of harming him, forcing him to hesitate. James didn’t know what the consequences would be, but at least Lin Beichen couldn’t act against him now.
Indeed, he was entirely safe now.
So when he looked at Lin Beichen again, the panic in his eyes had disappeared, replaced by a smug smile, while inwardly taunting, "Come on, Lin Beichen, hit me already; if you don’t, you’re not a man!"
Of course, he didn’t dare say this out loud, fearing he’d provoke Lin Beichen into really attacking. Even though the old man said it would cause a whole series of consequences, he didn’t believe Lin Beichen wouldn’t dare truly act.
Lin Beichen was pondering the elder’s words, filled with confusion.
"Why? Why would harming him cause a series of consequences? What secret is he hiding?"
Lin Beichen couldn’t understand why this man was untouchable.
Seeing the prey nearly escape while remaining smug, Lin Beichen burned with anger. He knew that if he missed this chance, who knew when or where he could resolve matters with James again, let alone if he could resolve them at all.
"I came here to tell you these things for your own good. If I knew and didn’t inform you, you’d regret it when you trigger consequences you can’t handle."
The village chief explained, truly not wishing for Lin Beichen to run into trouble.
"Could you tell me what kind of consequences there would be if I harmed him? I’m genuinely curious."
Lin Beichen wanted to weigh the pros and cons; if he knew what repercussions arose from attacking James and could manage them, he would act without hesitation.
James was equally curious about the consequences of being attacked, but upon hearing Lin Beichen ask, his desire to appease vanished, and he quietly listened intently to find out what was going to be said.
"Heavenly secrets can’t be revealed; just don’t harm him. Otherwise, I’m truly fearful you won’t be able to handle the resulting consequences."
The elder village chief didn’t specify the consequences to Lin Beichen, simply evading the question. Although James didn’t clearly grasp what the consequences would be, at least Lin Beichen couldn’t act against him for now.
His smile became even brighter.
He understood Lin Beichen hated him deeply, but what of it? He was right there and Lin Beichen couldn’t touch him; it was quite ridiculous.
Lin Beichen, seeing his smug demeanor, felt his anger surging. He controlled his emotions as best he could, but seeing James’s smugness was the final straw.
"On Eastern soil, I will not allow Westerners to run amok; they must pay for their actions."
Ignoring everything, Lin Beichen struck. Whatever consequences might occur, he was willing to bear them. The man in front of him had to die.
So after declaring this, he threw a Celestial Thunder Talisman right in front of the elder village chief, striking James to death.
James never expected that even after the elder warned Lin Beichen of the consequences, he would dare to act. He presumed he was safe, yet overestimated Lin Beichen’s restraint.
Once James died, the previously clear sky instantaneously turned pitch black, obscuring everything from view, with gales rising, rustling the nearby flowers, grass, and trees.
The heavens reacted immediately to James’s death, and soon, two humanoid creatures with wings descended.
Lin Beichen quickly recognized them as servants of the Western Church Court. The consequences that the elder spoke of must have been referring to them.
Come what may, Lin Beichen would face it all; whatever they intended, he was ready to meet them head-on.
Upon closer observation, Lin Beichen noted they weren’t as beautiful as the Western Church Court had advertised, looking more like birdmen.
With bird heads and human bodies, the addition of two wings made them think they were something formidable.
Appearing, they immediately launched an attack on Lin Beichen.
Lin Beichen snorted coldly. He had just completed a Super Talisman, only used once before.
Now, he would use these two birdmen to test his skills and gauge how formidable they truly were.
Having seen how dramatically the Western Church Court had glorified them, he was skeptical if they were even connected to them.
Lin Beichen pulled out Talisman Paper from his clothes, causing it to erupt in flames at once, forming a huge circle that enveloped him.
The birdmen, upon contacting the Talisman, were bounced back as if catapulted stones, instantly flung away.
They were utterly unable to withstand this unexpected and completely new situation for them.
Nonetheless, they refused to retreat, courageously charging at Lin Beichen with a strong resolve to eliminate him.
Lin Beichen’s actions came as a surprise to the elder village chief.
The elder expected that after advising Lin Beichen on the consequences of attacking James, he would show restraint and not act rashly. Yet, unexpectedly, Lin Beichen still chose to strike.
