Chapter 75. Capture the Capital (1)

Chapter 75

Capture the Capital

Ragney's new headquarters were much deeper than before.

I've been down there for almost 30 minutes and I can't get there. Following the torch that illuminates the dark passageway, Ferda gives an honest look inside.

‘I can trust a Dwarf like this. ’

A species that inhabits a city underground.

Ferda smiles as she thinks of the dwarf. With such a poetic thought, I naturally looked around.

The road to the headquarters was not just deep. The path that was one was divided into several sections, and a completely new path was emerged.

It was a place that looked like an anthill.

“We're almost there. ”

Then the car heard a shout of joy from the front.

Then Ferda and Kalman arrive at the end of the road. A wall with magic jeans of a unique design. Kalman puts his hand on the wall and mutters something.

Not long after that.

Curr!

The wall opens with a loud noise.

The scene that followed was different from before. Beyond that, it was as bright as day, and a large crowd was buzzing. They're probably members of Ragnar's organization.

I laughed as if Ferda was interesting because of strange sights.

You hear a thick bass, with a familiar tone.

“Welcome, boss. I've been waiting.”

A dogwalker with blessed fur. It was Brandon, Ragney's action commander. I looked much healthier than the last time I saw him.

“From now on, I will guide you. ”

He lowers his head politely and immediately turns around.

Ferda and Kalman follow Brandon's trail. The longer you get into the center of the headquarters, the wider the path becomes. Even the basement was so big and tall that it was colorless.

Ferda openly admires this.

“You've changed a lot. ”

“Yes, the number of members has increased a lot. ”

Brandon replies excitedly.

There are now more than 2,000 members of Ragney's organization. The last time I saw 500 people, this was a huge improvement.

“About 700 of these are fighters. ”

The members of Ragney's organization are divided into two broad categories:

Informants who deal directly with information and fighters who raise their strength to protect them. In the past it used to consist mostly of informants, but now it has over three dozen fighters.

At this rate, we won't have to worry about the damage to the organization.

Ferda grins, satisfied.

“Now we're getting some information organized. ”

“Yes, thanks to your support. ”

Brandon bows once more.

I was deeply engulfed in answers. It was worth it. In fact, Ferda didn't care about goods and manpower in Ragney's growth. It's no exaggeration to say that Kalman has spent most of the noble goods stolen.

I've been having conversations like that.

The three arrived at their destination one day. A building at the end of the road. It was Ragney's headquarters. After opening the door and going inside, the familiar person welcomed three.

“Haha. Long time no see, boss. Have you been unstoppable?”

A bear man with a big body.

It's the old boss of Ragney, Howard. It seemed like Brandon had regained his health as well. As Ferda looks at him with a big smile, she gives him a nagging word.

“I'd like to talk quietly. ”

“Haha, I know you will. I have a room for you. ”

A few moments later, the group arrives in Howard's room.

It was neither a large nor a small room.

As the whole group sits on the couch, someone knocks on the door. A young elf steps in, placing a cup of tea in front of each party. Only Ferda's was black.

Then Howard explains why.

“Coffee made from beans grown by Niella. ”

Coffee made by the Elf Chief of Heindel. I was intrigued.

Ferda sipped coffee with an anticipated face. I don't really know the taste of coffee, but I felt very fresh. I just took a sip, and I can see the smile on my face.

After such a relaxing tea time.

Ferda drank half a cup of coffee and came to the point.

“How's the operation going? ”

It was a rumor about a will that did not exist.

Howard and Brandon reply as if they were waiting.

“It's going well. ”

“I saw it in both princes' ears. ”

In response, Ferda glares at you.

It's already been three days since rumors were circulated. Now it's time for both princes to know.

“How did they react? ”

“Prince Two is still unresponsive, but it seems that Prince One is searching for the source of the rumors by unraveling the Knights under his command. ”

That's quite an expected response.

Ferda grabbed the leftover coffee and asked with her face just in case.

“You're not going to get caught, are you? ”

“Yes, don't worry. ”

“They won't be able to step on our shadows. ”

Answer full of confidence. I like the look of confidence.

A smile came from Ferda's mouth.

“Okay, then prepare for a second mission. ”

A second mission prepared by Ferda and Ragney.

It was the rumor that one of the two princes had the will. The goal was simple, to separate Prince 1 from Prince 2. And Ferda named the target Prince Sarphene.

“Yes? Already? ”

“But the reaction of the two princes is still... ”

Meanwhile, do you think Ferda's instructions were sudden?

Brandon and Howard open their eyes.

Unlike the First Prince, the Second Prince has yet to respond to rumors about the will. If we went too far in this situation, we could have unexpected variables.

Maybe they're both worried about it.

But Ferda shakes her head.

“Don't worry, I'll take care of that. ”

I knew it. I had it all figured out.

Brandon and Howard face each other. After a while, the two nod at the same time, without anyone having to go first.

“Very well. If that's what the boss says. ”

“I will begin preparing for action immediately. ”

Scared of the end of the answer, the two of them stood up. Apparently, we're ready to proceed with the operation right now.

Then, suddenly, Ferda reaches out.

“Oh, but I have a favor to ask you first. ”

“Please · · · · · · · ·? ”

Howard asks with a curious face.

Ferda then took on a different mission.

“I want information about a person. Is that possible?"

“Yes, of course. ”

“There's nothing Ragnar can't find anymore. ”

Two men smiling almost simultaneously.

I felt confident. Then, while waiting next to you, Kalman suddenly bursts into a bloodshed smile.

“I don't know who that is, but I'm very unlucky. ”

“I know. It looks solid on the boss. ”

“So who's the unlucky one? ”

With Howard's question, three sets of eyes turn to Ferda.

Ferda replied unequivocally, taking those glances.

“Earl Regelton. ”

“Well, you're Prince Two's great-grandmother. ”

Could it be that something bigger came out of it than I expected?

Howard strokes his chin with a somewhat stiff face.

“We're already storing information about the Marquis of Lekelton, but · · · · · ·. ”

“That's not enough to fill the castle. ”

Of course, what he wants is more than just information.

Ferda nods, continuing to make more precise demands.

“I want all information relating to the Marquis of Lekelton. His tone, his habits, his past, his promises. ”

Not long after the long-lasting demands are over.

There is a silence in the room. Howard and Brandon shut their mouths with a solemn face, and Kalman looks at them.

Were you asking for something too difficult?

With that thought, I was disappointed in Ferda's face.

“Can you give me two days? ”

Brandon opens his mouth.

Immediately, he replied with a confident voice.

“Then I'll know how many hairs he has. ”

Perhaps he measured how quickly he could gather information, not because of difficulty. Ferda nods happily, looking better than expected.

And exactly two days later.

Ferda has all the information she needs.

* * *

Capital of the Kingdom of Laderon.

Earl Lekelton's mansion in the north.

Could it have been the right time? The house was full of tension. The entrance and exit of each mansion were heavily guarded, not to mention the front door.

But the Marquis's bedroom was quiet.

It was because the late lord was bitten by the knights guarding the room. Many times before, the knights faithfully listened to the Marquis.

The erl gave this order for a simple reason.

It was because there was an invisible sight in the Marquis's bedroom.

“· · · · · · · So you can't support me? ”

Turning away from the curtain-covered window, the baron stares at the crystal ball with a stiff face.

The old man who compared it to the crystal sphere looks like the Marquis. He looks at the Marquis and says,

Honestly, it's hard for us, too. Every fortress has fallen from the southern border to the central. I just can't afford to rebuild it.

The mackerel bites his lip tightly with a grumpy reply.

Then the old man in the crystal sphere said again.

Most of all, the kingdom has a grudge against Ser Jaime.

The old man described Sererheim as "we."

Of course, because the old man was one of the Cardinals of Ser Hame.

Meanwhile, when the erl closed his mouth, the cardinal continued to speak again.

Whew, I can't give you the massive military support I promised you before, given the circumstances. How about sending two paladins and a private paladin instead?

A squeaky paladin is the strongest swordsman in the world.

But that alone is inexhaustible. We needed more troops to fill our gap with the First Prince. But you can't say no to a few. The erl sighs and answers.

“I see. Please just send me that.”

Yeah, I'll get it to you as soon as I can.

Cardinal nods.

Then his eyes narrowed. It seemed to recall something I had forgotten.

By the way, I heard the former king left a will. Is that true?

It scares me that there's a story about the will.

The baron crumples his face. I then shook my head loudly.

“It can't be. I've never recovered enough to write a will. ”

Then I'm relieved, but we need to be clear about this matter. If the future king's will is found, you'll be in trouble.

“Hmph! I'm not the only one. This is the result of the drug you gave us in the first place, so we're probably right to call ourselves accomplices. ”

The Cardinal's words hardened his face.

A moment later, a cold smile appeared on the cardinal's mouth.

Fool. Do you have any proof that we received it?

“ · · · · · ·! ”

If he did, it's a big deal. Especially in this situation.

Seeing the laughing cardinal, the prince clenched his fist tightly.

This was a clear threat. I wanted to shout aloud, but I struggled. It's you who's in a hurry, not them.

Don't do anything stupid. Then we'll be naked to the end.

The Cardinal once again asked kindly.

Soon after, he waves his hands and bids farewell.

I'll be in touch. Get some rest.

After his greeting, the crystal sphere regained its original light.

However, he did not recover his original appearance.

The baron threw the crystal ball away because he couldn't stand it.

Tsk, tsk!

A crystal ball smashed into a wall.

Along with the scattered debris, the monarch breathes a harsh breath.

“How dare you talk to me! ”

The Marquis's face suddenly turned red.

because he remembered the threats and insults he received from the Cardinal. The monarch then yells at the whale. This is how I felt the anger would cool down.

Is it because he's been yelling at me for a long time?

The baron feels thirsty as if his throat is burning. So I opened the door and tried to leave the bedroom. But at that moment, I suddenly heard a strange voice.

“For some reason, I thought the king left the world too early, but I can't believe there was such a veil. ”

“ · · · · · ·! Urgh! Urgh! ”

I tried to scream at a strange voice, but I couldn't.

Just as I read the thoughts of the Marquis, I was blamed for someone sticking a thousand lumps in my mouth.

“Thank you for the information. I'll put it to good use.”

Shortly after, an intruder encased the Marquis's body peels off his mask.

Every time he moved his steps, his military blue hair shook. Ferda then slaps his cheek and laughs as he approaches the Marquis.

“I've done it before, haven't I? If you insult my disciple, don't even think about dying. ”

With a smile of sticky flesh.

The Marquis's face is filled with terror. And that night, a silent scream echoed through the bedroom of Earl Lekelton.
