Alex covered the distance so fast the world seemed to blur around him but just as he was about to bite his enemy.

The Avian bent backwards pulling his neck away before proceeding to swing his halberd at Alex.

The halberd came at him like a bolt of lightning, ’ Too fast.’ Alex thought before the halberd flashed past him.

His body shot back back like a ragdoll and flew to the other end of the tornado and collided with the wall of wind.

The sharp wind cut his back like a grater peeling away his fur and skin. Alex gritted his teeth and stood back up.

His left hand was gone, cut off by he halberd, his flesh and bones started regrowing ar a visible speed.

His hand should’ve regenerated in a few seconds but the Avian was not going to give him that much time.

He flapped his owl wings and sense countless wind blades at Alex, the wind blades cut the ground to shreds.

They covered Alex’s entire field of vision like a net, he knew he couldn’t dodge them which meant he needed to block.

His claws glowed with silver light, he merged his weapon with his claws, an ability almost all werewolves with weapon type abilities had.

Then he attacked, his arm turned into a blur and he swung his claws thousands of times in a single second.

Clang clang clang, sparks flew around him when his claws clashed with the wind blades, he managed to divert the wind blades.

But the force pushed him back against the wall of wind behind him which continued to cut his back to shreds.

The longer Alex fought the weaker he became, whatever his enemy had used was very powerful.

Alex knew, his chances of leaving here alive were almost zero, without a miracle he was bound to die.

He had accepted that, what he couldn’t accept was dying alone, if he was to die he would take one of them with him.

He disregarded his own life and lunged at his enemy but instead of meeting him head on the owl man flew up.

Then he attacked from the sky by sending blades of wind at Alex forcing him to be on the defence again.

Alex was getting frustrated, he knew he didn’t have much time, it won’t be long before he loses all of his strength.

His enemy was stronger than him to begin with let alone a weakened version of himself, taking him down along with him will be hard.

He couldn’t brute force it, he needed to think and so he tried the only strategy he had left, he dodged the wind blades.

However he stumbled and lost balance, ’ Damnit, I used too much strength, adjusting to this weakened state is not easy.’

He failed to dodge and a wind blade cut his leg off, using the remaining leg he tried to retreat but he was too slow.

Alex swung his claws deflecting multiple wind blades but he couldn’t block them all, be lost his second leg and fell.

Before he could even touch the ground, two more wind blades cut him, one cut off his thighs and the others his waist.

His body was split into two, his entrails painted the ground red. He lay there on his back unmoving.

His chest was heaving with fatigue and his regeneration was getting slower, ’ I don’t think I’m making it out of here alive.’ he thought bitterly to himself.

The Avian saw his resistance getting weaker and finally descended from the sky, Alex could swear the Avian was grinning.

But he couldn’t exactly read bird expressions so he couldn’t be sure. He looked at his enemies face.

" Can I ask you why you’re attacking us?" Alex asked, he knew they had enemies but to outright wage war against them, even he didn’t expect that.

Especially during a time when Gadra waves ran so rampant, " Wouldn’t protecting your territories be better use of your strength at this moment?" He asked again.

" We are protecting our territories, not just them but the entire world as well." The Avian answered.

Alex was a bit confused, " If that was the case then your targets would be the seals not us, we’re the ones fighting to protect this world." Alex retorted.

The Avian tilted his head to the side, his large owl eyes looking down at Alex with confusion and pity.

" It doesn’t appear like you’re lying, so you do know?"

Alex could hear the pity in his voice and that pissed him off. " Know what?" He asked.

" Poor fool, it seems that monster has you lot firmly under its grasp, I shall tell you the truth, it’s my dying gift to you.

The one you call your leader is the bringer of doom, it is not the seal we should fear, it’s him.

The seals are as they are called, seals, nice tell me, what do you think they are sealing exactly?"

Alex was more confused now, he wondered if this Avian was retarded so he just laughed, " You think they’re sealing boss? If so,then who are you lot going to fight.

Or perhaps do you plan to open the seals yourselves to fight him?" Alex found this hilarious.

" You’re marching to war against a guy you claim is sealed somewhere else, how foolish can you lot be?

I knew birds were stupid but this a whole new level." Alex’s taunting laughter made the Avian shake with rage.

Their race was prideful and they hated being insulted, especially being called stupid which they genuinely believed was not true.

He stepped on Alex’s chest and pressed him to the ground shattering the stone below them, Alex coughed up blood.

" You know nothing, he is the heart of destruction, he’s the bringer of doom destined to end this world."

" Yes yes I heard your fairytale already, it still stupid." Alex continued taunting him and the Avian was losing his calm.

" Enough! I have to reason to keep explaining myself to a dead dog, perish you foolish thing."

The Avian raised his halberd above his head ready to cut Alex’s head off. The world slowed down for Alex.

He felt the death of his two lineage members who were with him and closed his eyes, ’ Sorry boss, it seems this is it for me.’

He grabbed his head with both hands and threw it towards the descending halberd, ’ Let this work.’ he uttered a silent prayer.

Adrian was having a meal at the moment then he dropped the spoon, his eyes turned cold.

" Alex." He whispered under his breath.
