Chapter 307: To War
But wasn’t the only one to feel it, soon after him the rest of the pack felt the death of the three werewolves.
Those in his lineage felt a throbbing pain that made them curl into balls but the pain lasted merely seconds.
All that was left was a void they couldn’t fill, Adrian stood up and without saying a word walked out.
No words were said but the werewolves followed him. Annie gathered everybody, " You all felt it."
Said Adrian, " I don’t think I need to tell you what happens next." They all knew, whoever or whatever did this, must pay.
The blood of a werewolf does not fall for free, they were all prepared to march to war but Annie disagreed.
" I understand your anger, you’re right to feel so but we’re not a group of ragtag savages, this much be done with order." She said.
The werewolves were dissatisfied but they listened. " Those not part of the army will remain behind.
We don’t know who our enemy is, we might not even need the army to deal with them so do not get too excited." She told them.
Adrian immediately disappeared and appeared close to where Alex had fallen but he saw nothing.
He floated above the clouds watching everything below and all he saw was a vast expense of a growing forest.
After they took down Famine and replaced his authority, the world didn’t just heal, it got better.
Now most of the uncontrolled land was covered in green and the ambient esper was growing thicker.
Unfortunately it was being replaced by dark esper which drove Gadra into uncontrollable rage this leading to Gadra waves.
Adrian took a deep breath, he was about to fly down then stopped, his left eye became a swirl of darkness.
Suddenly the world below him changed, he saw a pattern of an illusion ability even stronger than Annie’s.
" Lust." His voice came out venomous, he also saw Greed and Envy and his eyes turned colder.
He now knew what had been leading all those waves towards their territory and it angered him to no end.
In front of them were two armies marching as one, leading the Fayera army were four level 8 Fayera.
" Avian, White Tiger, Vampire, Sage Turtle." He whispered to himself as if memorising them.
Those four were all Demigod level races and members of the high council with the vampires being the strongest.
Vampires were a high race rivalling witches and Dragonewt and a few others who are not only incredibly powerful but have multiple Demigods.
Then his gaze turned towards the human army, " Inkstone, Balrock, Belvord." Three level 8 Espara from clans of the round table.
Adrian made sure to memorise all of them, then his eyes slowly shifted to the three corpses on the floor.
All three missing their heads, he used void tunneling and appeared next to Alex’s body catching the Avian off guard.
Before the bird man could react a powerful invisible force hit him on the chest like a speeding truck.
His feathers blocked most of the force and he flew back like a ragdoll and was stopped by the sage turtle.
They all turned towards the new comer and when they realised who it was they were first surprised then gleeful.
" Good, you brought yourself to us, now there’s no need to come to you, let end this right now dog."
The Belvord clan member roared, Adrian recognised that voice but he said nothing and picked up Alex’s corpse.
His head flew towards him and he took the other two as well using his telekinesis, before leaving he turned towards the armies.
" I was content to leave you be, much to her dissatisfaction but you’ve made this personal, I’ll come for you."
Before the two armies could register what he meant he disappeared leaving them confused.
" No matter, we’ll proceed as we were, march!" The Inkstone Espara roared and the two armies marched.
The Avian who fought Alex started lagging behind but he pretended to be fine and continued marching with the army.
Adrian returned to the pack with the three corpses, as soon as the others saw them they howled.
The mournful howls echoed like a symphony of sorrow, it was both beautiful and disheartening.
The citizens and even the visitors wondered what had happened for the werewolves to sound so mournful.
They didn’t even for a second believe one of them had died, they’ve heard legends of the werewolves.
They couldn’t believe such beings can even die. The howl continued for minutes before it died down.
Then Adrian informed them of what he had seen then it was decided, the entire werewolf army would march.
To ensure they don’t return to ruins, Sam, Sbu and Bred’s lineages would remain to maintain order and protect the city.
Annie’s family was also to remain except her brother and father who decided they were also going to war much to her protest.
" Don’t be foolish girl, what father would let his daughter march to war while he stayed behind.
Your mother will remain with your sister, if it was up to me you would stay behind too but I doubt you’d agree to that." Said her father.
Her brother nodded with her, knowing she couldn’t change their minds she didn’t try to stop them anymore.
As for the rest, although the lineages of Sam, Bred and Sbu would remain behind, the leaders themselves were going.
They were strongest werewolves if you didn’t count Adrian and Annie, even Annie’s family was not as strong.
For a simple reason, although they were of higher rank by one rank they were at a lower level, still stuck at level 6.
When everything was sorted out and it was decided who were going and who were staying.
Those who were going went inside the castle while those who would remain stood outside.
The castle was not just Adrian’s and Annie’s home but a war machine as well. Both sat on their thrones with the pack below them.
Each member fuming with rage, thousands of werewolves all seeking blood, it was a terrifying sight.
Adrian activated the teleportation ability of the castle and it disappeared. The werewolves left behind howled as a send off.
They too wished they could go but their roles had been assigned and they were going to carry out their orders.
---------------------------------------
The two armies marched with steps that shook the ground, their blood boiling with the desire to draw blood.
Having already killed three werewolves they could already taste victory and sought to more blood.
Suddenly their leaders stopped and the army stopped behind them. " Something is wrong." Said the white tiger.
His sense of danger was higher than others and before the rest could digest his words, a massive castle appeared in the sky.
" What the..." One member of the army mumbled and gulped.
