The leader of the snow wolves was at level 8 while the other three were at level 7. Adrian sat on top of the leader.

Its massive body standing over 7 metres tall ran through the forest like a whirlwind, they left a trail of ice wherever they went.

The leader’s nose seemed to rival that of Adrian, it smelled prey as soon as he did or maybe it had always known it was there.

A few seconds later they were standing in front of a gigantic lake, Adrian flew off the wolves back.

He stood a kilometre above the lake and his eyes pierced deep through the water but it was too hard to see.

There was a faint blanket of mist above the lake which seemed to block even his eyesight.

He used his left eye, patterns became visible to him, he saw through the mist and deep in the lake lay an incredibly powerful creature.

Adrian frowned, what he was looking at was a carp, a giant carp over 200 metres long with scales like iron.

The carp gave of an aura of a level 8 Gadra, Adrian wondered how to draw it out then he remembered, ’ This is just a fish.’

A chain materialised around him right arm forming a beautiful silver bangle. He swung a kilometre away.

On the shore of the lake, a massive Gadra was drinking unaware of the impending doom.

The Gadra looked like a six legged ox with spikes running across its back, its fur looked like black needles standing erect.

Sparks flew through the air when his chain bound it, it was as if he was trying to wrap his chain around a ball of needles.

He dragged it back to him, no matter how hard the ox struggled it couldn’t break free from his chain.

Its horns lit up with green light and it turned its head towards him and fired two beams of green energy.

This was a level 6 Gadra, its power wasn’t something to scoff at but Adrian simply waved his hand and deflected both beams to the lake below.

The lake exploded sending water into the sky like a rising mountain, this killed thousands of fish and other aquatic life.

On the contrary, the vegetation on the lake floor grew even higher and stronger, the weeds and plants lashed out.

They grew out of the lake and attacked him from all sides, this was the Gadra’s blood trait.

Adrian didn’t have any recollection of this type of Gadra but it seemed its blood trait involves controlling plants.

Still, this was nothing, a silver flame materialised around him burning anything that same close.

He swung the ox to the sky, the chain stretched reaching two kilometres then he swung it down.

BOOOOOM, the sky seemed to crack when he yanked the chain down with all of his strength.

The poor Gadra barely registered what happened before it felt itself colliding with the lake.

From that height and at such speed, it was like hitting a wall of steel which was not much for this Gadra.

Its hide and fur gave it an incredibly high defense, the issue is what lay beneath the lake.

All the surrounding Gadra knew the ruler of this lake and none dared to enter the lake for whatever reason.

The car opened its eyes, it has two whiskers which danced around it like serpents, it looked up at the terrified ox.

Then it moved, Adrian saw it and acted, he pulled back the chain dragging the ox out of the lake.

The carp jumped after it leaving the lake, he was finally able to clearly see its appearance.

The carp had bluish black scales, two long whiskers and wings, the wings looked like dragonfly wings.

Its gigantic mouth had rows of sharp teeth like a shark. Adrian let it devour the ox which it swallowed in one gulp.

Then it fell back down but how could he allow that, he activated every strength enhancement ability he had.

Then he pulled with all of his strength catching the carp off guard, before it could react he threw it across the sky.

It flapped its wings and brought itself to a stop then turned and faced him with its unnaturally large eyes.

The wolves moved, they couldn’t fly but ice platforms materialised beneath their feet allowing them to run in the sky.

They lunged at the carp moving so fast they turned into bluish white streaks. Adrian took his true werewolf form.

They were facing a level 8 Gadra here, he couldn’t afford to hold back then he realised how mistaken he was.

Because of how easily the wolf leader submitted to him, he somehow forgot it was a level 8 Gadra as well.

And it appeared to be stronger than the carp and smarter. It froze the lake with a beam of ice before confronting the carp.

Adrian nodded, ’ I might’ve underestimated this thing’s intelligence.’ he noted to himself never to do that again.

The carp opened its mouth and fired a jet of compressed water four metres thick. The wolf leader dodged.

Unfortunately a wolf behind it was not fast enough and got hit by the compressed jet of water.

It conjured a shield of ice but the jet of water shattered it into fragments almost instantly and hit the wolf like a sledgehammer.

It coughed up blood and Adrian clearly heard its bones breaking. It shot down like a meteor and cracked the ice over the lake.

It may there unmoving, he could hear its heartbeat and knew it was alive but it couldn’t fight any more.

’ There different between level 7 and 8 is really huge.’ he thought to himself, a snow wolf was taken out with a single attack.

Not to mention the carp was out of the water thus limiting its power, had they been fighting on its home turf, the wolf would’ve died instantly.

The wolf leader didn’t even bother looking at its fallen subordinate and lunged at the carp with its mouth wide open.

The carp was too large and too slow to dodge, it flapped its wings and tried to fly to the side but it was too slow.

The wolf sunk its fangs into its side and in front of Adrian’s eyes, ice grew from the bite wound spreading to half its body in a second.

The carp opened its mouth but no sound came out, its whiskers lashed out like whips at the wolf.

Ice armour formed on its body blocking the whiskers but it did not let go of the carp. Adrian watched as the carp’s body froze over.

’ Well that was quick.’
