Chapter 394 - 337: Pink Loli
Perhaps because it was the first time they’d ever eaten something so delicious, Brother Dog and the other kids all wolfed down their food.
A single hamburger wasn’t very big, but since it had meat, it was quite filling.
They also had some snacks and drank some soda.
A few of the kids even let out satisfied burps.
Brother Dog was the first to finish, as he was the oldest one there.
After finishing his burger combo, he stared coldly at Wen Ying, though there was a hint of curiosity in his gaze.
When the others finished and saw the satisfied looks on each other’s faces, they didn’t get a chance to act out before they saw Brother Dog’s cold expression and shivered for some reason.
"Human woman! Even if you brought out these so-called hamburgers, we won’t let you off easy! Hmph!"
Brother Dog stared at Wen Ying. "There are eight of us here. Four of us can give you a good review."
Wen Ying didn’t argue. After all, getting four good reviews from these kids was already no easy feat.
It meant that in their eyes, she still had some value they could exploit.
"Brother Dog, then we..."
Seeing the look in Brother Dog’s eyes, the child who was speaking immediately shut his mouth.
"There are eight rooms on this floor. We’re only using two, so there are six left. If you can make the patients in those six rooms Satisfied, then we can give you the remaining good reviews. But if you can’t, don’t blame me for going back on my word."
Wen Ying smiled and nodded.
’This kid is pretty interesting.’
"Let’s go play."
"How boring. We can’t play with this human woman anymore."
"Don’t be hasty. Once she fails to get the good reviews, won’t she just be a toy for us to play with as we please?"
The children stared at Wen Ying as if she were prey.
But at Brother Dog’s command, they all ran off.
Looking at the hamburger wrappers and other trash thrown on the floor, Wen Ying shook her head speechlessly. She wasn’t a cleaner anymore; this wasn’t her job.
The door to the first room was ajar. Wen Ying gave it a push, and it swung open.
The moment she opened the door, Wen Ying saw a room decked out in pink.
Everything in the room was pink, as if it had been decorated to be a princess’s room.
By the door was a pair of pink slippers and a small pink shoe cabinet. On a rack to the side hung some pink coats and... pink stockings.
A fragrant scent assailed her nostrils.
It seemed to be incense, but also some kind of perfume.
Wen Ying didn’t know much about spices or perfumes, so she could only get a general sense of it, but she didn’t like the smell.
Standing at the doorway, she couldn’t see the patient inside.
"Are you the new caregiver?"
The voice came from directly overhead. Wen Ying looked up to see a girl in a pink poofy dress and pigtails, a lollipop in her mouth, hanging upside down from the ceiling as if she were suspended there. She blinked at Wen Ying.
"Oh, it’s a pretty woman. I like handsome guys. Didn’t the head nurse tell you?"
The girl’s face looked just like a porcelain doll’s—youthful and cute, with big eyes.
But the voice coming from her mouth sounded like that of a middle-aged woman.
"I want a handsome guy. Leave right now and get a handsome guy to replace you, or I’ll give you a bad review immediately!"
The girl’s face dangled in front of Wen Ying’s, level with her head.
Even though she was upside down, it didn’t detract from her porcelain-doll-like beauty.
"It’d be better if you didn’t talk," Wen Ying said with some regret.
[I love this type of Loli! She’s so damn cute!]
[I can’t believe the Loli likes handsome guys. Does that mean you look down on our Doctor Wen?]
[I’d bet my allowance that this Loli is definitely not as simple as she looks!]
[Did the poster above just grow a brain? How could something that hangs upside down from the ceiling be simple? Everyone knew that from the first glance!]
[The Loli doesn’t like Doctor Wen. What’s she going to do? Can she still get a good review?]
"Why don’t you want me to talk?"
The Loli in the poofy dress suddenly leaped down from the ceiling, landing steadily in front of Wen Ying. "Is my voice not pleasant to listen to?"
"You have to tell me. You must speak. I’m ordering you to speak, understand?!"
The Loli’s expression grew increasingly ugly.
It seemed Wen Ying’s words had hit a sore spot.
"Sigh. You’re so pretty. To be honest, I quite liked you at first sight. But hearing your voice... it’s like finding a beautiful vase filled with shit. Do you know what I mean?"
[Doctor Wen’s metaphor is epic! It reminds me of those stories online about people with really nice voices who turn out to be some gross old dude picking his feet!]
