Dream Life

Episode 84: Using Dwarves

I, Jonathan Water, have concluded negotiations with the Blacksmith Guild's Chief Ulrich Drexler on the assignment of Scotch for Welburn. Though the general meeting still existed, he exhaled heavily shortly after leaving the master craftsman's office, saying that he had passed through the largest gate.

As for this assignment to Welburn, as I replied to the master craftsman, Master Zacharias is not involved at all. But it wasn't even what I thought.

I've had a lot of trouble since I left Welburn for this one. That would be so. You can't honestly say yes by telling Dwarf to give you booze.

Troubled I thought about who to talk to.

At first, I was going to talk to Master Zacharias. But if you talk to Master Zacharias, even my head can easily imagine that he would be more plankish. When I was worried about what to do, I stumbled upon Master Sharon Jakes.

It's hard to notice you hiding from a genius named Zacharias, but Sharon is also an English genius who graduated from that Tilia School of Magic with a wonderful second seat. If Lady Zacharias is not here, the story of the college's specialty professor soliciting him to become an assistant is a very famous story on Aurelia Street, so much so that he is undoubtedly said to have graduated as chief.

I talked to Master Sharon about what to do.

"Let me think for a day," replied Lady Sharon, who listened to me. I thought I did something I was sorry about then. Speaking of magical geniuses, it wasn't like asking a girl ten years younger than me, only fifteen. But Master Sharon told me the next day what a great idea he had earlier.

"Negotiate normally first. But you probably can't, so once you pull it off, you make it look like you're going to talk about the" Zack Collection "… please be normal about how much Zack owes the blacksmiths in Welburn and how much he owes you at the big banquet in the practice hall. No need to exaggerate...... The blacksmiths in Ars are also about to negotiate the Zach collection. I'll take about half of it, and you'll hit me even if I put a little on the first condition I said..."

Then, when I asked what I was wondering, it felt like, "If you're a Dwarf blacksmith, I'll put it this way." He taught me how to handle it very clearly.

How genius I am, I couldn't hide my surprise that a fifteen-year-old girl could think this far.

Not only did I have an accurate insight into what Chief Drexler thought I'd never even met, but I just admired the negotiating technique of making him admit with skillful guidance the demands I thought were excessive.

I honestly asked Master Sharon why he was so good at negotiating. Lady Sharon was answered with an adorable smile after leaning her little neck for a moment.

"Because I've been with Master Zach the whole time. So I figured out what Master Zach would do. Unlike that one, it took me a day to think."

Even now I thought this one was a genius. But another question came to mind.

I was wondering why you had thought this far.

When I bumped into that question, I got an answer that sounded like Sharon.

"All the blacksmiths in Wellburn helped us and Master Zach. Besides, Master Zach always says: Says that good alcohol is something we all drink deliciously. So I didn't think it was in his mind that Mr. Deggenhardt and the others couldn't drink..."

After that, he said, "But I have no idea how good the distilled liquor (Scotch) tastes," and left smiling.

The day after negotiations with General Manager Ulrich Drexler, an emergency general meeting was held at the General Headquarters of the Blacksmith Guild.

Naturally, I also attended that general meeting, but the crap from the chief craftsman “Wellburn Branch demands as many as twenty barrels of scotch a year” caught the killing of three hundred blacksmiths to the horror. I managed to endure that time. But my consciousness flew away at moments like when the Welburn branch bought all of the Zack collection.

I also assumed that the blacksmiths would kill me. That's why I've been trying not to get as much moisture as I could from the day before. Of course, to avoid incontinence with fear.

Though incontinence was the only thing that didn't happen, I fainted at the horror. This will have no choice. Those who laugh at me just don't know true fear.

I will never forget the shock I suffered then. Feeling the physical shock as if he had been beaten with a hammer, and wondering if he glowed white for a moment in front of him, his vision dimmed with the sound of a putrid.

He managed to regain consciousness by being mediated by General Headquarters guild clerk Jack Harper.

While I was passing out - long enough for what I heard later - it was decided to be there.

"Scotch, twenty barrels has no choice. But I can't give up the Zack collection!

The blacksmiths. "Bye!" The voice is a wooden spirit.

"If the Wellburn people can make a weapon that will convince them, they can do it somewhat separately. But if you don't have enough arms to convince me, I'm gonna ask you to give up the Zach collection."

I thought about what was going on with my confused head.

And I think we were discussing eligibility to drink the Zach collection while we were passing out. I squeezed my courage and objected to the master craftsman.

"Oh, that's not fair! Wonderful materials like this rarely enter Wellburn!

The master craftsman assumed my objection, grinning niggardly.

"That is. It means if you have the material, you can make something that will convince you. Then take the finest Adamantite and Mithril. I'll see to it some Demon Stones too. Then we'll have no problem."

I desperately tried to circumvent this development.

"But it doesn't make sense if you have to make something that belongs to the person who uses it..."

"I'll think about it. How about Govan Lockhart, the previous head of the Lockhart family. If you're from Wellburn, what do you know?

"So, but in the villages of Rasmore and Welburn, we are more than six hundred km away. I can't help listening."

The master craftsman nodded to Eagle Deep, "Then you can travel to the village of Rasmore (if you want). There's a Beltram workshop over there. The problem is quite good," he said.

I'm asking for the Zack Collection. We have to overcome that kind of obstacle. "

I lost the art of disputing and had no choice but to remain silent.

"Naturally, Noona and the others are going out too. Well, not all of them, but about ten."

I was stuck with that word.

It is very rare that the heavy town of the Blacksmith Guild leaves Ars. Sometimes jobs are built in, but Dwarf blacksmiths love the job of “blacksmithing" and hate to be out of the blacksmith for long periods of time. Travelling without a clear reason is very likely to involve cross spears from the state, as the country dislikes better blacksmiths moving to other countries than that. Of course, it is inconceivable that the Kingdom of Kaum will come in with a cross spear against the Blacksmith Guild due to the disturbance the other day, but there is a possibility that a complaint will come out of the Commercial Guild if it is also a master craftsman class.

I was just thinking about that, and I realized it.

I was wondering if this might be an excuse to go to the village of Rasmore for a drink. On par with work, no, if it's for liquor you love more than work, you should get over a little inconvenience or something.

Even if a cross spear from a commercial guild comes in, the opposite is hard when it comes to traveling for booze. “Dwarves must continue to be given booze. You can't take liquor from Dwarves by mistake.”

This word is common sense throughout the world.

But what are we going to do about selecting members to go to the village of Rasmore? I can only imagine a future where it rains blood. In fact, the blacksmiths' atmosphere changed gallery in the words of today's master craftsman. Yes, he has sharp eyes like a wild eagle after his prey. I guess their eyes show a barrel in Lockhart Mansion.

At the same time I felt something cold flowing through my spine. When I told Welburn this story, I wondered if it would rain blood on Welburn as well, touring the village of Rasmore.

The details were then packed.

The implementation time was around April, six months later, when five blacksmiths were to be seconded by the Wellburn branch to the village of Rasmore. It was decided that the opponents providing the armaments were the predecessors Govan and the current Masaias, and that the materials would be brought in from Ars, and that the decision would be made by the Lockhart family in addition to the blacksmiths at the headquarters.

"Let's also look at the cost of renovating Beltram's workshop here. It's not a waste because it's a distiller workshop."

As I held my temples, I asked, "Am I the one telling the Lockhart family?"

"Of course not. Convincing Govan to be famous for his innocence is one condition."

Apparently, it's my destiny to have more challenges.

If we're just going to tell Welburn about this, we still have to do the workshop modification as requested by the Branch Managers. The Zach collection is hanging, so they'll send you some tough demands.

What's harder than that is having to convince the Lockhart family. Ordinary aristocrats and knights would be happy to receive it if they were opponents, but things are different in the Lockhart family. Your lord is a very abject man, and your predecessors are famous for their innocence. I find it difficult to negotiate for those people to receive expensive weapons just a little thought.

"You can count on Zach's wisdom this time."

I felt saved by the words of the master master craftsman, but I had a headache with the words shortly after.

"Convince the Lockhart family at all costs. Nong et al have a drink... no, to go say hello to Lockhart."

After all, the true meaning of the master craftsman seems to be liquor. They're telling me to break a bone to go out for a drink. I don't suppose you're thinking of returning Scotch's grudges, etc. only to the Dwarf blacksmiths, but maybe you're going to give them a little something back.

Second, Master Sharon's smile passed his head. I was wondering if maybe this was something Sharon had in mind.

It's odd that that (...) master craftsman gave up his scotch too easily in the first place. Since this kind of story will soon come to the master craftsman, did Sharon suggest that we give him an arm test and decide how much to distribute the Zach collection? If the condition is to do it in the village of Rasmore, the blacksmiths of Ars (here) are bound to come aboard.

With that said, Master Zacharias was thinking of introducing a Mithrill weapon into the Lockhart family. I do not know why it is necessary for a peaceful village of Rasmore, but I have heard from the Beltram Master that it was so proposed to your lord and predecessors.

I think the story is getting connected gradually. I heard that lords and predecessors rarely leave their territories. When that happens, you two won't get any weapons other than the Bertram Master. Of course, Bertram is a good blacksmith and with the material and time he can make a comparable arsenal to an Ars blacksmith.

However, materials such as misrills are rarely in hand in the first place, and he is also quite busy producing weapons and distillers for vigilantes. In other words, as it is now, the two of you will remain permanently unaltered. Then the armor of the squire will be no more than it is now. Unless you're going to receive it like Will Keegan did this time, because they'll never think about having better weapons than your husband.

When I think that far, I think that Master Sharon might have manipulated me and the blacksmiths to reinforce the Lockhart family's arming. But at the same time, I realized it wasn't just that.

There is no doubt that the battle over the Zacharias collection will be overheated in the future, and it is likely that the situation will continue where Master Zacharias will be slated like this one. Master Zacharias is a man of honor, so if there's a commotion like this one, it's bound to break my heart. Hasn't Sharon thought of lightening up Zacharias' efforts at all?

There's no evidence at all, it's just my imagination. However, I strongly intend to check with Master Sharon when I return to the village of Rasmore.
