Dream Life

Lesson 1: Policy

Tria history on the evening of October 13, 2017.

Although the fatigue of yesterday's life-threatening escape play and the fatigue of today's interception have not yet escaped, I feel the joy of survival.

It has been since I rescued Luna in the village of Thysek and fled into the fortified city of Thornbrough, but it is often inexplicable and still not well organized within me.

I am going back to yesterday because I sometimes report to my father and grandfathers.

We arrived in the village of Thysek on October 12th, but after the villagers had already been slaughtered, the demons had barely even looked like the orcs. As I checked the house to find the survivors, I found one girl in the storage bin under the floor of the hunter's house.

The girl's name was Luna, and she was sent by a god involved in my destiny.

Initially, Luna was calm after the raid, but saw the villagers at the scene of the massacre, plunged into a semifrenzy. It was my mistake to think I was calm, and later I realized that the facts were simply unacceptable, but it was a later festival.

Semi-frenzied, Luna stays as a crying toddler, and normally takes the time to calm her down, but she wasn't just a child.

Luna's emotional rampage involved the dark spirits around her, causing a phenomenon she had never even seen.

When she left it to her emotions to cry out, the spirits of darkness gathered, and darkness filled her surroundings as if to reflect in her heart. And the darkness began to scatter fear. Though Sharon and Mel managed to accommodate the emotional rampage, the Dark Spirits did not leave Luna around.

The cause still does not leave the hypothetical realm, but was attacked many times by demons on their way to Thornblow, twenty-five kilometers away. Those demons were very belligerent and seemed to be rampant because of the fear the Dark Spirit gave them.

Plus the orcs we were chasing from around Rasmore Village started turning to us to react to the Dark Spirit. It was supposed to be a distance we couldn't sense with our sense of smell, but it hunted us down precisely.

Along the way, he left Luna to three people, Dan, Mel and Sharon, to attract the Oaks with Liddy and Beatrice, but he was also uncomfortable then.

Originally, an oak that instinctively strikes people was only reacting to the Spirit of Darkness. Later I learned that one of the causes of discomfort was that Luna suddenly returned to the same reaction as a normal oak at the right time to fall asleep.

He then kept running away from the oak back to the normal demon and was surrounded at the end. But Thornbrough's defensemen, adventurers, and even mercenaries of the stalled mercenaries rushed by Sharon's persuasion, gaining a lifetime in nine deaths.

If we had arrived late enough, none of us would have been in the world.

Powerfully, it doesn't even reach our feet at all, but the power of numbers easily overshadows it. In fact, Liddy, who doesn't like melee fights, was badly pushed, and I was worried about that myself and had been attacked by orcs many times. Without the equipment given in Ars, it is likely that he would have been fatally injured.

Back in Thornbrough, I thanked the merchants for putting out the defensemen and mercenaries, and came up with something hypothetical to sort out the information a little calm.

It's a hypothesis that he was listening to the timing of the dramatic change in Orc's behavior, i.e. Luna's situation shortly after sunset, and that Orc was aiming for a dark spirits wrapped around Luna. Sharon was thinking the same way.

And I'm talking today about the orcs striking the dark clouds again in the morning. Against the town of Thornbrough, which also has a solid wall.

So I was convinced that my hypothesis was correct.

When Luna woke up, she panicked again that what happened yesterday was not a dream. We didn't get as far as the dark spirits stormed out as we did yesterday, but we sprinkled terror all around us for a few minutes. As a result, he thought the orcs had gone mad again and struck a wall that could not have been broken.

We also responded from above the walls and defeated quite a few oaks, but still didn't get to defeat all the oaks. There was also a proposal to strike out, but the fact that it was swarming near the castle gate and other demons were beginning to gather around Thornbrough, inadvertently unable to open the castle gate and destroy it.

Mel's efforts calmed Luna's spirit, and the orcs fled to the woods and scattered the other demons they had gathered, but it was very dangerous for this situation to continue.

I'm confident my hypothesis is correct, but it was a question of how to respond.

I have no problem with the oak. It is a castle wall that can be prevented even by the august class, and there is no fear of being broken through without even opening the castle gate. If we attack with bows and magic from above the walls, we will soon be able to destroy them.

The problem lies ahead. If the same situation persists as it was yesterday or today, it will bring in demons other than orcs. We just came together today, but worst of all, those demons could even run wild.

Furthermore, there were no flying demons today, but it cannot be said that there is no possibility that demons such as the Winged Lion (Griffon) or the Fei Long (Wyburn) will strike like crazy. I mean, if we don't do something about this situation, it's dangerous to be in a fortified city like here.

And now we're discussing what to do with Luna.

First of all, Liddy has suggested using dark attribute magic.

"What if dark attributes magically calm you down? You can do it."

Dark attribute magic is a magic that acts on the spirit, and besides sleep, paralysis, allusion, etc., it can elevate the spirit or, conversely, calm it down.

"I thought the same thing. But it's too risky."

When Liddy said, "What do you mean?" and lean his little neck.

"There are so many Dark Spirits gathered together. Poor magic can inspire the spirits. The power of the Spirit may run wild."

"But the spirits are calm now."

"Yeah. But even if you don't run wild, the magic might overwork, or vice versa. I can't take that risk."

What I thought was, can I give magic to the dark spirits in critical condition? Normally, magic gives the Spirit the magic (MP) of an operator to use that power. There is no clear will on the Spirit, but I try to fulfill the wishes of the surgeon who gave me MP, but the dark spirits around Luna did not fulfill my wishes and I wondered if they would react to Luna's thoughts, fears.

"Then why don't you ask the Spirit of Darkness? Because Mr. Luna will be in danger. Wouldn't Zach be able to do it?"

Mel agrees with Sharon.

"Even when I sang the lullaby and put him to sleep, I asked the Dark Spirit to do so. Wouldn't Zach be able to tell you better?"

After arriving in Thornbrough, I hear it was Mel who calmed Luna down.

(The risk is small if that is indeed the way to go. You're just not going to listen to me, so you're not going to run wild all of a sudden. The question is how to tell. Saying that dark attributes can be used doesn't mean you can talk to the Spirit)

When I was worried, Beatrice said, "You don't have to think hard."

"I guess a guy called Spirit listens to a sorcerer's wishes. Then why don't we just hope"

"You sure are right," he nodded to the words, concentrating his spirit.

(O spirits of darkness. Don't react to the child's fears. If possible, you should just watch over me softly... If it's important about Luna, if you want to protect Luna, I want you to keep your powers down...)

Speaking in my heart for about five minutes as I prayed, little by little, the spirits of darkness left me. Not all spirits were gone, but they were reduced to the point of whether magicians could feel it.

"Now you're going to figure it out. What do you think, Liddy?

Confirm to Liddy that you can see the Spirit.

Liddy says, "Right," and stares at Luna sleeping on the bedside,

"... I hardly feel it. There's only a little left, but I don't know if I feel like I'm protecting you. I don't think we're going to run wild..."

One of the problems seems to have been solved. Later it's how to calm Luna down when she wakes up, but I'm counting on Mel and Sharon for this. Especially since Mel has Luna's trust, she should calm down if she talks to him.

But there was still a big problem.

That means we haven't been able to discover the Demons.

There is no doubt that the Demons are involved in this case. The demons should have been involved, at least until before the Thysek village raid. Otherwise, there are too many places where Tsuji doesn't fit.

But there was no demonic figure in the orc that came after us. I don't know why, but it would be reasonable to assume that for some reason we have started acting differently.

Of particular concern is the fact that there may be a demon clan with wings called the Demon Clan.

There is no evidence that there were demons, including sightings. But as far as the orcs are concerned, it's more reasonable to assume there were reconnaissance personnel.

Of course, there are possibilities such as having a very detailed map or a knowledgeable collaborator around here, but information from above is essential to make a map of the forest at the foot of the vast Aquila. In fact, the maps used by the Caerm Imperial Army and the Royal Lax Army were created by the Flying Dragon Squad and the Winged Lion Squad.

In addition, this time the orcs will have a range of action of two hundred kilometers on all sides. There can be no adventurer or hunter who knows every corner of this vast range. Twenty kilometers and four quarters are the limit, even the brilliant scouts who said Hector Marron or Guy Jakes, the Rockhart family squire. Of course, a good adventurer in the adventurer's city of Periclitle might have a wider range of action, but it would still be about fifty kilometers exquisite.

The fact that orcs are being used this time means that ghosts among ghosts should have been commanders. It's dangerous to assume a general theory, but we're talking about the Middle-Ghost tribe having a lot of fierce general-types and a few intellectual-types that think deeply about things. If so, it would be safer to assume that there are demons, and to decide that there are no demons.

I don't know if he's here. We need to find him anyway, at least because there must have been a middle ghost commander. It is believed that he was even in the vicinity beyond Karsh, so it is likely that even if he was lurking around here or moved to another location, there would still be traces.

Demons, that's also very awkward the fact that the Commander class is infiltrating this side. It's just a rumor, but the ghost tribe has the ability to summon his family, Orc. In other words, a demonic stronghold could be created without your knowledge.

Even if it wasn't capable of doing so, rumors alone that ghosts are lurking could affect economic activity. If you get guerrilla activity on Ars and Fonce streets - streets connecting Periclitle to Fonce, king's capital of the Kingdom of Lax - you need to form a massive crusade army, which will be a huge pain in the economy.

On the night of October 13th, where the Orcs' attacks have subsided, they will discuss the future with the substantive head of the defensive corps, Lieutenant Norman Parks.

"There's too much we don't know about this raid. Was there or wasn't there a demon clan? Will this end the Orcs' raid, or will it still continue? I'd like to know what Lord Zacharias thinks."

This is how they cut me out of Deputy Parks and explain what I was thinking.

"It's about the Demons, but you must have been there. However, if you ask me if I am here now, I have great doubts. As things stand, it's more natural to assume you're not in command of the orcs."

Deputy Parks nodded small and asked, "What do you think of the future of the orcs?" I guess that's what bothers me the most as the person responsible for protecting the town.

"I honestly don't know what the Orcs do. But we've defeated more than half of them in one day, so we should organize a crusade and wipe them out at once."

Deputy Parks nods, but after groaning, "You're not comfortable with the power of war,"

"If we can get the help of a commercial guild, it's not that hard to wipe out. Unleash the adventurers in this town as scouts and attack them once and for all with defensemen and mercenaries… However, this assumes that the orcs are lurking nearby…"

I was in agreement with Deputy Parks.

Join the defense and mercenaries to gather nearly three hundred troops. The number of orcs is divided by a hundred, so it's enough power.

"If it works, I think we can attract the orcs. After that, we think this is the more problematic way to find the Demons."

I was going to attract the orcs with the magic of Dark Class Magic Shadow Displacement (Shadowstoke). The dark spirits around Luna are calm, but likely to react to the power of the dark spirits.

I don't know to what extent the attraction from shadow displacement (shadowstoke) is effective, but at least two or three hundred meters would notice. After that, just wander around town with the shadows I made and the orcs will be drawn.

It's not that hard to annihilate an oak as long as you attract it. But he was worried about what he would do with the subsequent demonic search.

"In the meantime, let's focus on the annihilation of the oak. As for the Demons, we can wait for backup from Periclitle to do a massive search."

The city of adventurers, Periclitle, has already received reports of an oak raid. We should probably arrive in Thornbrough tomorrow.

I realize I was slightly ahead, "Right," he lowers his head.

(You should clean up one at a time...)

Where the policy has been decided, head to the Thornblow branch in order to obtain the cooperation of the commercial guild. Director Graeme Savage immediately appeared with a full grin as he knew we were coming.

Before Deputy Parks cut the case, he decided to convey his gratitude to me for letting the mercenaries out of our rescue.

"Thank you for yesterday. Without the help of all the merchants, I wouldn't have been in this world. Thank you so much."

When I bowed my head big, Savage said, "No, no, no, until I did what I deserved. Please raise your head," he panicked.

"There are only a few things I can do personally, but I'm willing to reward you for this."

Savage replied with a wipe of sweat, "When I thought about doing business with the blacksmiths, I did the normal thing.

"Of course, we thought of the damage, but the fact that we saved Sir Zacharias this time is enough. There's nothing more I can do to scratch my greed."

Strangely, I'm not demanding anything.

(I know I'm going to get a commercial guild and I'm not asking for anything. Why not? Regardless of my relationship with Raswell Borderline Uncle, I thought he was going to say about Scotch's right to sell...)

wonder, and tell them about it,

"Don't ask Lord Zacharias to bother you more than Master Sharon Jakes..."

I was like, "Is Sharon here?" I said.

"I didn't say it directly, but you've said this many times that the Jakes family did it arbitrarily... to be honest, I didn't feel like turning Master Sharon around on the enemy. Because he feels more horrible than you in a way."

I don't know what Sharon said, but this time it's to help us.

"Then let me decide that this oak crusade was requested by me, and I will pay you fair compensation. Later, send a request to the mercenary guild…"

Savage hastily blocked me from saying anything like that.

"This time we have a deal with the blacksmiths in Ars. What our merchants did on their own. If there are rumors that we have abandoned Master Zacharias, we cannot live as merchants. So on the contrary, it's better not to be told that you helped them make money."

I can understand what he's saying. But that would damage the merchants. Originally, Ars Street is costly and makes less money.

This is due to the large number of merchants carrying Ars' weapons to Periclitle, because they are heavy goods and because they need escorts because of the many difficulties.

"Now, let me write to the Blacksmith Guild's Drexler Master Chef in my name. Said you did everything you could for my rescue. I'm not asking for anything specifically, but I hope I can be of some help"

Savage has a full smile on my suggestion.

"Everyone will be delighted. We will cooperate fully if the crusaders are sent out after tomorrow."

You know exactly what we're up to, and it looks like you've already finished rooting for the merchants. Of course, you can't leave without the Orcs crusading over, but you don't have to force mercenaries to turn to crusades because the crusaders will already be leaving from Periclitle. I guess this also makes sense to appeal to the attitude of cooperating with me.

Subsequently, Deputy Parks told me that he would "crusade the oak tomorrow morning after sending out the scouts," and that the Savage Branch Chief would inform the heads of each merchant squad.
