Dream Life

Second story: "To the village of Thysek again"

Tria history on the morning of October 15, 2017.

Yesterday, Oct. 14, we found the rest of Oak's party and the crusade was completed.

Luna's mental state wasn't very good, but even after she woke up, it felt like the spirits of darkness were watching her quietly, without waving fear.

And the orcs acted, but as I expected, they were caught in shadow displacement (Shadowstoke).

Even so, it didn't work out from the start, it just didn't respond aromatically to the shadows. It added a slight but fearful image to the shadows, and the oaks finally came out.

At that time, the other demons did not respond in particular. As it stands, it does not leave the realm of hypothesis, but only the orcs that were used by the Demons seem to react specifically to the power of the Spirit of Darkness.

The Orcs' crusade, but guided the Orcs to the walls without the castle gates by Shadowstoke. On top of that, he inflicted damage with arrows and magic, secretly turning about two hundred mixed units of defensemen, mercenaries and adventurers from the castle gate into the rear, surreptitiously attacking from the rear at once.

The orcs were so confused and so easily annihilated that they unlocked Shadowstoke in response to the ambush.

The only damage to the defensemen was a few minor injuries. Even though he ambushed with more than double his power, the damage is miraculously minimal, considering he fought nearly a hundred orcs.

Approximately five hundred crusaders composed of adventurers and mercenaries arrived from Periclitle that evening.

Heard that they had already annihilated the orcs, seemed to clap them out, but still haven't found the Demons, so they decided to search the area from the next fifteenth day.

And today, I'm going to the village of Thysek with the crusaders, too.

The members were Liddy, Beatrice, Dan and my four, and Mel and Sharon stayed in Thornbrough with Luna, but Mel and Sharon voiced protest over this.

"I think Mr. Luna is okay now. Let us be with you."

When Sharon said that, Mel also said, "It was separate last time. Please!," he eats desperately. But I'm not willing to admit it.

"I'm only a guide this time. One of us, who knows what's going on in the village of Thysek, can go. So we don't all have to go."

Sharon said in my explanation, "So why don't you just be my brother? I don't think Master Zach needs to go," he says.

I snort, "Sure you do,"

"But there's no way the second son of the Lockhart family won't go, is there? And again, I want to see if I have any clues left with my own eyes."

This demonic search is planned to focus on the village of Thysek, but we will only lead you to the village of Thysek and explain the situation at the scene. For this reason, he will not leave the village even after his arrival and intends to return to Thornbrough the next day.

We could have joined the search, too, but the commander from Periclitle already had a demonic search plan and there was no curtain for us to come out. In fact, if we join a search party of five hundred, it won't have much impact.

Arrival is around 3pm. Whether you want to help bury the body or something, you should have time to look inside the village again. Especially since I have barely seen Luna's birth house, I believe there may still be clues related to her birth.

"I'll be back the day after tomorrow. And there's Liddy, Beatrice, and Dan. There's nothing wrong with me."

Mel and Sharon still didn't seem convinced and tried to argue, "Still..." But blocking it first,

"I'm more worried about Luna than that. Sure, you can keep yourself safe if you stay here. But if the enemy is a demon clan, I'm still anxious to see if it's really safe. If Mel and Sharon can protect us, we can safely go to the village of Tisek. There's only two of us who can ask for it."

That's what I say. Take two hands. In fact, if the Demons were to infiltrate Thornbrough, they wouldn't be able to counter it in Mel or Sharon.

It is difficult to cross with enemies that can infiltrate a fortified city unless you are Beatrice with excellent sign perception or Liddy, an elf with high resistance to magic. Still, I think we should give it a clear purpose and put it into words.

We were both searching for words, but Sharon nods, "OK," but Mel is still not convinced.

I stared firmly at Mel and said, "I want you to stay with me as long as you can. I can only ask Mel," he said again, finally "OK," he nodded small.

"But don't ever be impotent," he pushes in case. I'm not going to make you worry so much, but I'm going to nod honestly here.

"Sharon needs a favor, too," Sharon said, tilting his little neck.

"Easy stuff is fine. Will you make a report for me? Give each guild something, not to report it to your father or uncle."

"Okay. You can be as objective as you can," he immediately drew my intentions.

My concern is where and how to convey this fact.

I hope the search from today finds the Demons, but they won't be anywhere near them anymore. It is also unlikely that information will be available even if it is found.

They've gotten a couple of ghost captives before, but because they haven't had a single successful interrogation.

This is definitely because I asked Byron Seedorf - a servant of the Lockhart family - who was in command in the defense of Fort Toa - the eastern stroke of the Kaum kingdom, the front line with the Demons. They say the Royal Kaum Army is hung with a curse caused by dark attribute magic because they suddenly die before they crack their mouth no matter what torture they do.

It would be even more serious if the Demons could not be found. Sure, as far as movement within the Kaum kingdom and the orcs gear, I'm pretty sure it's not a wild orc, but there's no way to prove it.

In fact, I don't fully understand the ecology of the oak, and it's likely that with a bit of clever oak it would be possible. But as far as the fact that we targeted a village with a God-sent man named Luna is concerned, some intention should be hidden. However, this fact cannot be made public.

If you targeted Luna, you should still take action against her in the future. But the only way to prevent it is through the power of those who know my secrets. Publishing her secrets in situations where she doesn't even know who the enemy is only increases the danger.

So by closing up the danger of a common enemy called the Demon Nation, we intend to aim for the Kingdom of Kaum, the Kingdom of Lax and Pericritle to increase our vigilance.

To that end, we need to draw up as detailed and objective a report as possible and draw the world's attention through each guild.

(And Sharon's insight is amazing. With that said, you were afraid of the Commercial Guild Branch Manager. I wonder what you said......)

Ask Sharon about it, but he didn't tell me the details, "I just asked you to do it at my expense," he said. I can't forget the drawn face of the head of the Savage branch of the commercial guild, although I don't seem to have done anything particularly blackmailing in what I heard from Henry Norton of the Norton Chamber of Commerce, whom I know.

(At least Sharon will never lie to me. So I think it's ok......)

Although some anxiety remained, the time for departure approached, so we cut the story off.

8: 00 am.

Five hundred adventurers twitch in front of the South Gate, surrounded by their private language. Its adventurers, but many from the mid-twenties to the mid-thirties, did not look like teenage rookies (Rookies).

A magician stands on the platform. This is Reginald Warbeck, this time commander.

Reginald was a man in his mid-forties wearing used leather armor, not so big a body, but a man with more presence than he seemed. And he said, "Listen to me! screaming," the blurring disappeared all at once.

"This job is a demon hunt! But there could still be a separate squad! Be more careful than usual!

After shouting, I will explain this assignment further.

"I know you've heard from the squad leaders, but it's a reconfirmation. The period is five days. The food will be carried by the main unit… We will go as far as the village of Thysek and divide it into squads to be buried by the villagers and squads to be searched while proceeding…"

In his description, five hundred adventurers are divided into ten squads, and the two squads, about a hundred of whom are the main squadrons, go straight to the village of Thysek with supplies, where they will bury the villagers, as well as set up base camps. About 400 other eight squads explore the traces of the demonic tribe as they head east off the road to the village of Thysek. We will be in a direct line to the village of Thysek.

Exactly because of the large number of veterans, or without confusion when the transmission ends, we leave.

We're going to be working with a veteran swordsman named Jasper Barrett.

Jasper is a one-handed swordsman in his early forties, a man with a small round shield (round shield) in scratchy leather armor, a bearded beard, and a swordswallowing atmosphere with large gizzard wounds on his cheeks. Talk to me, don't bluff. He was a different man than he looked, such as taking careful account of our placement.

The Jasper called out with his departure.

"Probably not going to be a battle, but I'm counting on your strength as well. Especially when the Demons come out, I expect you to have all the attributes..."

I didn't explain it here in particular, but I knew I was a magician with all my attributes. Later I heard that the story of the chief of the Tilia School of Magic doing adventurers in Doctus was also famous in Periclitle, and he immediately noticed it in the name of Lockhart.

He grinned even more amazingly, saying, "Because you're famous for being a harem party with beautiful places," and became cramped with answers.

(It's true that Periclitle and Doctus are connected on Aurella Street, and it's not a strange story to have rumors circulating because of the large number of merchant squads... what rumors are circulating...)

Into the woods the atmosphere of the veterans changed once and for all. There was absolutely no gap in their movement to be vigilant around them. The move was comparable to Guy's.

Guy Jakes, a servant of the Lockhart family, is our best scout. Even though he was originally an adventurer in Periclitle, it was surprising that he was comparable to Guy, who was trained in the village of Rasmore.

Even veteran Beatrice said to this, "These guys are amazing. No one's ever been here before, Doctus. That's about the knee of headquarters," he was surprised.

There is no waste in one move at a time, and the scouts of each party work together even better. I know we're having a meeting ahead of time, but we were sharing the enemy range with very few words.

I heard this later, too, that the Reginald squad we incorporated had a particularly brilliant collection of parties in Periclitle, mostly second- or third-degree adventurers.

As adventurers tend to have lower levels of martial arts skills compared to mercenaries, actual combat skills need to be considered at a discount, but it was surprising that so many first-rate adventurers are gathered together.

Lower levels of martial arts skills are due to shorter training times than mercenaries who devote time to training, because adventurers search for demons and traps. Of course, I make up for that in real life experience, but I don't have that many opportunities to encounter more than a certain level of demons.

It's a strange story for me to say that I'm fifteen years old and in fourth grade, but being a third level adventurer at around thirty means I've been receiving dangerous requests and succeeding since I was a teenager.

We will also continue eastward down the path to the village of Thysek, like the Beast Road, with increased vigilance. Along the way we find the bodies of the orcs we defeated, but it had already been three days and most of the bodies had been devoured. Still managed to recover the Demonic Crystal Stone, the number of which had reached fifty.

Jasper's party scourge, Ladis has spoken with a voice that impressed him.

"Only six of us defeated this many? While running away with that, too. That's a big deal."

Radice is a cat beast about thirty years old, with five sword-throwing swords on her hips along with a short sword. Even more characteristic is that a narrow rope with small weights is tied together first.

(Will it be used in climbing? Then you just have to keep it in your back sac...)

Though questionable, he quickly left without asking.

We took a lunch break about four hours after we left, but until then we were hardly attacked by demons. Of course, weak demons are probably fleeing because more than a hundred armed humans are on the move, but given what happened three days ago, it feels like a whole other land.

He traveled another two hours or so and arrived at the village of Thysek around 3 p.m. as planned.

When you enter the village, the smell of a corrupt human body can stand in and make you nauseous. Beatrice, especially with a sharp sense of smell, had a blatant look on her face. The bodies of the villagers had been further damaged even three days earlier, but now they were in a state of no remnants but bone and slight skin.

Exactly. No one vomited on a crusade made up of veterans, but still, they all have extremely few words. In the meantime, Reginald, the commander, gave instructions in a pale tone.

"The scouts of each squad should be on perimeter alert! The rest of you, bury the body! Don't forget to collect the Demon Crystal Stone and Orb! … the tools should be able to use what is there…"

Move simultaneously on Reginald's orders.

There are roughly fifty bodies and they are transported to the place where they are to be buried.

We didn't have to do reconnaissance or burial to explain the situation to the Reginalds. But I can think of something.

(Don't take too long. My magic is quicker......)

That's what I thought and suggested to Reginald to that effect.

"I think it's quicker to dig holes with my magic"

"Do you have earthly attributes? Oh, you had all the attributes," but I immediately shook my neck to the side.

"Keep your magic warm. I don't want to lose any more power than I don't know where the Demons are."

You're right about what he's saying, but it doesn't consume so much magic if you just dig holes.

"If it's for fifty or so people, we don't use magic much. Take a break later and we'll be back enough."

Reginald said, "Is that what it is?," he said, checking with the sorcerer of his party, but the sorcerer had no earthly attributes, so he could only shake his neck to the side.

When I said, "I don't have a lot of tools, and it takes me till night," I said, "Okay. But don't push it," he admitted.

The burial place is a vacant lot on the north side of the village, digging a hole about a metre deep about two metres wide for people to enter. Digging one by one is a hassle, so I dug the hole with the feeling of creating a gutter twenty-five meters long.

"Supporting all the earth, God of the earth (Reams). Give me the power to wear the earth. I do not give my life to you. Hole Digging (Dig-A-Hole)"

When you reach the ground with a spell, the ground slowly cracks. I dig the grooves backwards, but I think about filling them back in, raising both sides.

When I finished digging holes in about twenty minutes, there were hedges all around me.

"That's awesome stuff. That's what Dr. Raspade calls one genius a thousand years ago."

When one of the magicians groaned so, the wild horses were snorting the same way.

When Reginald orders you to "OK, bury the body," the adventurers begin to bring the bodies into the ditch simultaneously. When Reginald sees it, he hangs up words of labor saying, "Well done."

"It made time shorter. By the way, is the magician okay? Even I, the amateur, looked pretty magical?

I shook my head, "No problem," I replied, "I can afford it, so I'll keep explaining the situation," but Reginald laughed bitterly at my words and laughed, "For now, rest.

"Ask your party members what's going on. We both have veterans. You can't explain it, but you'll be fine. Instead, you can do a little more procedure. Normal magicians don't work this far."

Seems like you want to say I work too hard. In fact, magicians take as much rest as they can to preserve their magic. In my case, I can see the amount of magic (MP) left over, so I don't need to worry about it that much, but I might have rested the same if I only knew it by feeling.

Reginald called the Liddies and checked the situation three days ago.

I decided to go check out Luna's house because I wasn't even getting enough rest.

Take another slow look around the village and you will see again that it is a small settlement. Houses like thatched huts are built on wooden fences that cannot be called walls. The size of the field is small, and the soil is crusty and lacks nutrients.

Still smelling of death, but no longer as intense foreign odor as earlier, as the body began to be buried.

Being a small village, he soon arrived at the house where he found Luna.

Luna's parents' bodies had also already been carried, and the cloth they covered to conceal the bodies was shaking in the wind.

The house is big enough to be called a cabin, and as soon as it enters the entrance it becomes a earthly kitchen. Behind it was a work place and bedroom, there was one work table and bedroom, and there was just a wooden box placed like a long lasting one.

The lid of the box is open to the oaks and the garments are scattered messily.

We will check the cupboards and workbench drawers, but with only a few dishes and tools, we found nothing about Luna's birth. Instead, the letter was grated and there wasn't even a piece of paper that was going to be a note.

At the end of the day, I opened the fur vault where Luna had been hidden and looked inside, but I found nothing to do with them.

The only thing that bothered me was the bird's feathers carefully wrapped in cloth. It is about the size of a large raptor with a crow-like, pitch-black blade.

The idea of an amulet or something shitty comes to mind. I was so surprised that I was about to raise my voice by casually using my "reference” skills.

“Moon Demon Wind Cut Feather”

It was the fact that it was the Moon Demons' feathers that came to my mind.

(Moon Demons...... are you one of the Demons? It's the first species I've ever heard of...)

I was confused. Certainly the Demons are mysterious and to the extent that we know that there is a race called the Winged Demons, we have no idea what kind of race there is.

(It is obvious that the Moon Demons are the Demons, but it is more surprising that the Demons' wings were stored in the house where Luna was. Luna was clearly human. Even though I checked with the reference, it was out with humans. If so, why…)

Even though I was confused, I put the blades in the storage magic (inventory) and proceeded with the search further.

I searched for about half an hour, but I still found nothing but its blades to clue to.

(What does that mean? You might know something about Luna... No, if you didn't know anything about it... If Luna didn't know anything, you might think you had something to do with the Demon Clan, then you might think you attacked me for it... you can't ask that shocked girl about that fact. I'll have to take the time to ask it anyway......)

After Luna's raw house. I looked back one last time and swore to her parents in my heart.

(From now on, on behalf of both of you, I'll try to protect you. Rest in peace......)

I never even talked to Luna's parents. I swore so.
