Dream Life

Episode XIV: Festival

One day in November of the year 317 in Tria history.

Serious discussions had taken place in a painting of Welburn, a city in the northern part of the Caerm Empire.

The location is the rally room of the Blacksmith Guild Welburn branch. Though slightly younger than the members of the headquarters in Ars, the king's capital of the Kingdom of Kaum, the bearded, bent, magnificent men, namely the Dwarf blacksmiths, were hissing.

Usually in the assembly room, the cheerful Dwarves kept discussing bumps and squeaks with their seriously looking faces. In it, a slightly older dwarf is putting his thick arms together to create a tannic surface. The man - the branch manager, Dagenhardt Grabsch, explained to the protagonists a report from Jonathan Water, an Alliance official who sent him to the village of Rasmore, but he was disturbed by an unexpected reaction.

About thirty minutes ago I gathered my parents and the blacksmiths who were the Lord to start the rally. At the beginning of it, Dägenhardt said, "I got some good news from Johnny!" He was in a good mood to talk.

"Scotch is twenty barrels a year! Johnny split all this Scotch from Ars headquarters!

In that word, the Dwarves said, "Ooh!!" "exclaimed," No, cheered. By the way, there were those who were weeping as they said, "Well done," or, "Will I be able to drink that one," but there was a lot of joy coming out of their mouths, either because of their pedigree characteristics or cheerful.

Dagenhardt said, "Quiet!," the blacksmiths say in a dra voice, sending a gaze toward him as to what was going on. Dagenhardt laughed niggardly, "That's not all! shouted."

"What did Johnny do to get to the Zack Collection?" You might get that (...) Zack Collection!

The assembly room quieted back for a moment to the words.

At the next moment, I realized that critical fact and said, "" He said it was the Zack collection! "" An anger containing confusion and consternation rocked the assembly room.

One of the veteran blacksmiths, Knut, said, "Say it again! It sounded like the Zack collection," said Dagenhardt, with a full grin, "I'm not mishearing. The Zack Collection. That (...) Zack collection," he said twice, nodding loudly.

At the next moment, several times as much cheer as Scotch said he could get rocked the entire guild branch building. Usually a quiet western district, but a battalion of northern governor's office troops was dispatched to this unusual noise. The surrounding residents seem to recall the civil unrest two months ago to the fury of the Dwarves, feeling anxious and requesting to be dispatched. So much anger, no, it was a voice of joy.

While many Dwarves jammed into Dagenhardt, they said, "How much are you coming!" Encourage the conversation to continue. Dagenhardt also says "talk now" and waits for his people to settle down.

"We haven't decided how much it will spin yet! The guys at Ars headquarters say they'll see if they have enough arms to drink the Zack collection before they decide!

The Dwarves couldn't grasp the meaning for a moment, and one of the veteran blacksmiths, Holger, represented, said, "Look at your arms? What do you mean? shouted."

Dagenhardt said, "It literally means looking at a blacksmith's arm!,"

"In Johnny's letter, we're talking about building Govan Lockhart and Masaias Lockhart's weaponry, and then the Ars will see and decide that."

The Dwarves said, "Non will do it!," "No, it's me!," he exclaims, "but one of his veteran parents, Richard, expressed his doubts. He was a very rare and sober character owner for a dwarf.

"Lionheart, Govan is coming to this city? And Matt is a lord. I find it strange that the previous and present lords leave the territory at the same time."

"No, our representatives are supposed to go out," Dagenhardt replied.

At that moment, silence fell again in the assembly room. The Dwarves instantly realized that their destination was the village of Lockhart Rasmore.

And I also realized that not everyone here could go. A compatriot who had been joyful by slapping each other on the shoulder until earlier turned into an enemy "rival" at that moment.

Dangenhardt, who was rising from the story of Scotch coming and the fact that he could get the Zack collection, realized he had made a huge mistake.

(It's out. I'm the branch manager, so it's a decision to go, but not the rest of them. I totally missed having to pick ten of these...)

And Gustav, one of the dwarves with a one-stroke horizontal width, broke the silence.

"How many people can go. Who can go?"

I didn't yell, I didn't raise my voice even louder, but the voice echoes as I leave a lingering "echo" in the assembly room.

Dagenhardt tells him "there are ten," but then he asked, he didn't utter a word about who was going. When he sits with Dosun in his chair, he puts his arms together and meditates his eyes. The other blacksmiths also sat in the chair they were given and looked around restlessly.

Silence persisted enough. It was one of the parents, Everto, who broke that silence. He gets up quietly, says, "I can't help but shut up," and urges Degenhardt to compartmentalize him. Dagenhardt slowly opened his eyes,

"Both Govan and Matt are the users of Bastard Sword, a one-handed, half-sided sword. I mean, a bastard or someone who specializes in two-handed swords should go"

So the blacksmiths, who specialize in spears and lightweight one-handed swords, stood up and said, "Can't Nona go!" "and after shouting at the same time, he collapses off his knees.

Dagenhardt dared to ignore it and said, "It would also need armor. I guess we should select each part" parts "for how we said helmet, chest armor" Cuiras ", armor armor" Van Place "and caged hand" Gauntlet ".

The words glow in the eyes of the blacksmiths who specialize in protective equipment.

"I know that, but how do you decide," Everto asked for a specific answer.

"Um," said Dagenhardt, roaring, "after a few seconds of silence," we'll all have to decide, "

"This guy's not talking about his honor. The fate of Wellburn's dwarf is at stake. If everyone decides to convince him, the evil will remain."

Everyone nods at the words. But more than that, there's no specific story, and we're going to be silent again.

Gustav stood up and said, "I wish I was the one to show everyone what I made. Everyone would be convinced if they saw it and made up their mind," he sat down.

In contrast, Holger questioned it.

"Running lads, you can tell by that, but I don't think it's going to come with black and white so clearly if it gets to about Nan Ra. For example, in Dägenhardt and Knut, we think completely differently. Needless to say, you know that Dägenhardt wants cleavage in sturdiness, but Knut wants toughness in cleavage. You look the same and think completely differently. Anyway, if you're an amateur, this is a matter of preference. Besides, putting black and white on is not an easy business..."

Everyone, including Gustav, nods that they are right. And then I get a reluctant face that I'm back in the shake again. Silence wraps up the assembly room again.

Everyone nods when Dagenhardt says, "At the very least, it's conditional on the granting magic being available," but the voice goes, "There are still forty of us."

And Richardt said, "There are two one-handed half swords, Bastard. Two artisans would be enough," he says. In contrast, Dägenhardt responds that "there is also the hand of competing, as in the case of Rod".

All he is saying is that he gave Rodrick Lockhart a misrill bastard sword, in fact, starting with Dagenhardt and involving several blacksmiths.

So "If you're competing, you'll be able to go as well as one-handed sword-makers like Nong et al.," cries the blacksmith, who collapsed off his knees earlier, in a bright voice.

Dagenhardt makes a face that it's gone, "It's Ami the Original Tree," he mutters. And three times the "Mitsu" argument went back to shaking it out.

Gustav stood up and said violently, "The only way to do the" qualifying "is to do it. The Dwarves also said," That's all I have! Endorse. "

Dagenhardt also said, "Come on!," but holds his head, "Who wears the superiority and inferiority?"

The discussion then continued for dozens of minutes, reaching one conclusion.

"Only the Governor is here," Dagenhardt said with a tired look. They were patterned between Govan Lockhart and the Old Knowledge, and further decided to ask Uncle Hubert Raswell, Viceroy of the North of the Empire, who is also close to Masaias Lockhart, for judgment.

The next day, Dagenhardt and the other blacksmiths, who were the lords, go to Werburne Castle, the castle of Borderline Uncle. Borderline uncle warmly welcomes the Dwarf blacksmiths, but as he listens, he gives them a bewildered look.

"I mean, who's good at weapons?"

Borderline uncle said so while holding his temples, asking the belly-hearted Baron Ferdinand Oldham, "Is there any good wisdom?"

Oldham shook his head, "I'm sorry," he said, bowing his head. Uncle Borderline told the Dwarves, "Non has no talent as a samurai. We may know as much about the beauty of the weapon as it looks, but we don't have the eyes to identify the kind of weapon that the Lockhart people entrust their lives with," he said.

"If then the Knights Commander," says Dagenhardt, "Uncle Borderline would not be able to do it either" Manfred. I'm sorry, "he shook his head.

Daegenhardt follows Uncle Borderline's office, but his shoulders fell disappointingly, and the figure of the rigid branch manager was nowhere to be found.

"Sir Zacharias is the only one who can solve this kind of thing," the leftover borderline uncle murmured. Oldham also had to nod "properly".

As he returned to the guild branch, Dagenhardt began to haunt his head again.

(I can't narrow it down to ten people... Twenty people might be able to handle it, but if that's all the craftsmen get out of it, it'll get in the way of Welburn (here) 's work...)

A few days have passed without conclusion. Suddenly, Dargenhardt was contacted by the Raswell Border Uncle for a summons.

As Dagenhardt headed to Welburn Castle, he was unlike many executives of the Northern Governor's Office Army.

(What's going on at a time like this? It's also a massive exercise?

The place he was put through was not the office of Borderline Uncle, but the Grand Chamber of the Governor's Office Army. There began Baron Manfred Braceford, the First Knights Commander, and in addition to the four Knights Commanders, there were dozens of deputy officers, large captains and other cadres of samurai.

Dagenhardt intuited that the war would begin.

(This guy is talking about a fight. Is that retaliation for Luke? This guy's gonna be busy...)

Borderline uncle took Baron Oldham and came into the conference room.

Borderline uncle opens his mouth best and tells him, "His Majesty has given me the knowledge of the Lukes crusade". As expected by Dagenhardt, the Emperor decided to send troops to the conspiracy to make the northern realm of the Empire independent.

"I'm leaving Wellburn next March 1st. Our northern governor's office commanded 15,000 troops. Enter under the command of the Third Army. The commander is Baron Manfred Braceford..."

When the outline is communicated from the mouth of Uncle Borderline, Baron Braceford takes his place.

"This time it will be dominated by the First Knights, the Third Knights, and the rest by prostitutes and mercenaries...... the battle is scheduled to begin in the middle of April. Therefore, I want you to think that you will not be able to come back until June at the earliest..."

Approximately 1,000 km (Kimmel) from Welburn to the border with Lukes. It takes more than a month each way from accompanying a slow legged heavy squad.

Luke's Holy King is dominated by peasant militias against the Imperial Army, which is formed with professional soldiers. For this reason, it was often aimed at Luke's decline in national power and hung from spring to autumn, a period of agricultural prosperity, to open the battlefield. Since this is a punitive troop outpost, the Knights Commander explains that mid-April was set for the earliest possible time.

The Knight Commander bows his head gently toward Dägenhardt.

"The prep period is only just over three months. I'm sorry about the blacksmiths, but I might not be able to do it until March."

Dagenhardt said, "I don't mind. His Excellency the Governor and the guys who sold the fight to Lockhart are the opponents. We will spare no cooperation," he nodded loudly. The knights I was listening to heard the words “Your Excellency the Governor”.

A large number of requests from the Knights can then be conveyed, but Dägenhardt was thinking of something else.

(From March the number of the Knights will be one third. That means less work at once. Then there will be no problem if there are twenty, no, thirty or so people gone from the city. We can work this out by discussing...)

The Dwarf blacksmiths who belong to the Blacksmith Guild basically do not serve. It is the servant blacksmiths of man, who serve in the army, who are supposed to take care of and repair weapons on the battlefield.

There is less demand for blacksmiths for adventurers and mercenaries because there are few demons and good security around Wellburn. In other words, the main customer of the blacksmiths here in Wellburn is the Knights. There are three Knights permanently stationed in Welburn. In time, the two knights will march out, which means that the number of customers will be reduced to one third.

The next day, Dägenhardt summoned his parents. The blacksmith's workshop in Wellburn is about thirty. Including a workshop in a neighboring town or village, there are twice as many as, say, sixty workshops, but of those workshops, about forty are led by Dwarf blacksmiths. In other words, forty parents were gathered.

"We have an important story to tell," said Dagenhardt, beginning to convey matters from the Northern Governor's Office with a serious look.

"We're so busy dying from now until March! Keep your temper on the young ones! ……

Dagenhardt, who was a serious look along the way, but naturally his grin starts to spill and his parents listen to him seriously as he tilts his neck at the look of it.

When Dagenhardt said, "And most importantly!" and bang the stage.

"I'm almost out of work after March! I mean it! I don't have to worry about annoying you when you leave here! Let Johnny check it out, but there shouldn't be ten of them!

That word says, "What did you say, Deggenhardt!," "You can go more, to the village of Rasmore!" The voice of joy rises, and the voltage of the parents rises.

"I'm going to screw about thirty people! But don't take the guy with the half-arms! Our fate depended on it. It was a war called" Oh, Sakusa "!

A business communication document was received at a later date to Blacksmith Alliance employee Jonathan Water, who is in the village of Rasmore.

There it was stated that around March 20th, twenty-five blacksmiths would arrive in the village of Lasmore, that by then they would have completed the enhancement of the workshop in the village of Lasmore, and that they would have fully secured materials such as misrills from the headquarters of Ars.

Having finished reading that document, Johnny held the temple,

(Couldn't even twenty...... and don't almost rebuild the Bertram Master's workshop. space and furnace for ten people to work at the same time, accommodation in the conference room...... not in the instructions, but naturally we need a liquor reservoir...... can we do it in three months now......)

Johnny punches his cheeks in the bread with both hands and gets in the mood.

(You should ask Ars to send a workshop expert. We also need to have the best tools... even if we ask Mr. Bertram to supervise us, we should report to your lord first... what face Master Zacharias will look like... I feel heavy...)

Johnny offered permission to Lord Masaias Lockhart to remodel the blacksmith Beltram's workshop. On that occasion there was also the figure of the previous lord Govan, the man Rodrick and others. Naturally, Zacharias was there.

Masaias talks about Dwarves, "Again, I guess it's not a hell of a thing," he says. "Not so much..." Johnny mumbled, but soon began to convey an offer from Dagenhardt.

After listening to Johnny, Masaias nods with a relieved face. Zacharias and the others had the same expression of relief.

"I can't use the carpenters in the village, but if the artisans come from Ars, there's no problem. I hope you do this in close consultation with Zach and Beltram."

"Thank you," Johnny thanked, "but he questioned the Masaias' expression," I thought you'd be a little more surprised... "After I say it, I apologize," I'm sorry, "but Masaias laughs," within my assumptions, "without looking like he cared. When Johnny tilts his neck,

"I had received a letter from His Excellency the Governor saying that he was troubled by the candidacy of a blacksmith to come here with the story of a troop march. Thirty people thought they were coming. Twenty-five people won't have more problems. Beltram's workshop is too big, but there's no choice."

And even more, "But I don't think it's too much to say that there are twenty-five first-rate blacksmiths to make my father's and mine. Hahaha!" she laughed in a good mood.

Johnny is convinced,

(Nevertheless, the Lockhart family is well accustomed to the blacksmiths. I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing)

And then I realize what I forgot to tell you, and I bow my head in sorry for "something I forgot to tell you. Masaias was in a good mood to say," What is it?, "he said.

"Jack Harper from General Headquarters contacted me. Blacksmiths everywhere have heard this rumor and are contacting the General Headquarters. Perhaps some blacksmiths would like to visit from the branch that was the main one."

Masaias' grin hardens.

"So, how many do you expect to come?

Johnny bows his head small.

"How far can the officials of each branch persuade, at least (...), the blacksmiths of Periclitle, Aurelia, Doctus and Fortis call it inspections, and it seems to be the idea of the General Headquarters that they can come in ten units? Otherwise, there have been reports from the Fonce Branch that the blacksmiths are looking strange, so maybe there will be many blacksmiths who can come in secret..."

Masaias' expression is strong in the words.

"Ma, wait! You mean you don't know how many other dwarves will come from at least (...) forty people from four cities..."

Johnny shook his head "Wearing" and said, "Depending on the adjustments made at the total headquarters of Ars, we have no doubt that there will be more than ten people in our expectations. It looks like the information hasn't come up yet, but even from the Imperial Branch...... probably ninety people, no, I don't think I'd be surprised if there were more than a hundred people," he explained quietly.

Zacharias looks down and mutters, "Is that why we need a reservoir and accommodation dedicated to liquor barrels......" Next to it, the audacious Govan opens his mouth so wide that he seems to take off his jaw, and he runs, "Not a hundred people... this is where we're going to be...". Soon Zacharias said, "Please don't speak any more!," he blocked, "I'm really afraid it's going to happen when I say it..." he muttered with a falling eye.

The unusual willingness of the Dwarves brought in dozens of craftsmen from Ars, and a new workshop was completed in the village of Rasmore.

The latest furnaces that can also be made of special metals, Adamantite tools that can be processed with precision, and large machining facilities for distillers are well beyond the Imperial factory in Teito Plymouth.

It has been decided at the general meeting of the General Headquarters of the Blacksmith Guild that the workshop will henceforth be a training facility for learning to manufacture distillers.

For this reason, an accommodation building was created next to the workshop for more than fifty people and a large cooking area was set up. In addition, it has been decided that administrators and cooks entrusted by the Alliance will reside. Of course, there is a large warehouse dedicated to “liquor barrels”, and it is easy to imagine that the blacksmiths who train here are Dwarves.

Masaias Lockhart, who saw this workshop and the lodging building, gave up on his face and said, "Far more splendid than my mansion. But do we need this much just to learn how to manufacture a distiller," he murmured.

It should be noted that Zacharias Lockhart has left no comments regarding this workshop. Always beside him, even in Sharon Jakes's diary, famous for keeping detailed records, there was nothing but the following:

'... Master Zach was trying not to go too far to Mr. Beltram until the workshop was completed. I was also seldom spoken of this topic...... not too ridden to hear the news that it was complete...... I was whispering something so low that I couldn't hear it many times as I was looking inside. It didn't sound to me, but I think maybe he was whining, "Is this still happening?"

And one day in March, Jonathan Water, in the village of Rasmore, received a notice from the General Headquarters of the Blacksmith Guild in Ars.

"… For this Blacksmith Skills Assessment Meeting, the“ Zack Collection ”shall be awarded personally… It is also the policy to periodically ascertain the skill levels of each branch in order to determine the allocation within the Blacksmith Guild of the Zack Collection… We ask you to contact and coordinate with the Lockhart family on this matter. Blacksmith Guildsmith Chief Ulrich Drexler '

In the spring of 318 Tria history, it was officially decided that the Dwarves' festival "Forge Skills Assessment" would be held. No formal comments have been made by the Lockhart family on this matter. However, it is on record that we solemnly prepared.
