Dream Life

Lesson 34: Dwarf Festival: Part IV

Tria history after 4 pm on April 21, 2018.

I used the time waiting for the liquor review to open an invoice and showed him how to drink Scotch as a pastime.

Beginning with water splitting, highball, twice up, half-rock, on the rock, mist, and straight. They felt that the taste would change due to the difference in temperature and alcohol content.

And finally, introduce the cocktail.

Prepare a large shaker made of stainless steel on the table.

"Until now, it was a combination of scotch, water and ice. Of course you felt the difference in temperature, but basically you just changed the thickness of the scotch. Next I'll show you how to drink mixing just a little something else. First, fill this shaker with ice…"

Is it rare for silver shakers, the Dwarves stare peering from their seats? Maybe I'm just interested in drinking.

The people at the venue also hold their breath to see what I do.

"… and add a little refined sugar to Scotch III with this citrus squeeze juice, plus this pomegranate syrup. I will cover it properly and shake the shaker......"

Add all the ingredients and start shaking the shaker on Xu "Momouro". I'm not a professional bartender, so it's not a very beautiful way to shake it, but at least I'm going to stir it thoroughly so that I don't only make unusual noises that will crush the ice.

There are bartenders who sometimes mistake it, but shakes are a way to cool down while mixing alcohol, and ice better not crumble. Of course, I can't say it all because some of them are shaken like they dare to shatter, but it's not something I could drink like a watery sidecar - a short brandy-based cocktail.

Sometimes I've left the bar just because I hear a noise called Gasha Gasha. Conversely, the sound of a good bartender playing a shaker is comparable to that of a leading musician. I even think that the BGM alone would sufficiently satisfy me.

Meanwhile, Mel hands out the glass and Sharon cools it down to a crisp. Immediately the surface of the glass clouds white with frost.

Pours it into the glass where the shake is done. Clear, beautiful pink liquid fills the glass. After pouring into the glass, peel with the prepared orange skin.

"I'll make it for everyone, but this is the best way to drink it, so drink it right away."

Yeah, but I'm gonna get the next shaker.

"So this is... this is Scotch?" Ulrich roared the most served.

"It's a little sweet for Non, but this one's here. The fragrance interacts with acidity…"

One after the other, the Dwarves' opinions broke in two. It was divided into positive opinions like Ulrich's and, conversely, opinions that the sweetness and acidity were too strong to taste good.

"It's definitely easier to drink than straight or rock," said Otto Elwes, a young bureaucrat in the kingdom. And it's a beautiful color, "he says with a full grin," but isn't this pretty alcoholic? "and realize the dangers of cocktails.

"As Sir Elwes said, this way of drinking alcohol is stronger than Twice Up earlier. So be careful because being alert can quickly make you drunk. Of course, it has nothing to do with you Dwarves."

One word makes me laugh at the venue. In the meantime, there was a woman staring at the glass with a serious look. Yes, Katie, Queen Katrina.

Quietly pouring cocktails into the glass in front of her. "Go ahead," he says, slowly mouthing.

I take a sip, I take a second, but usually I don't say anything just because I drink cocky to make some comments here.

I suddenly got up where I drank everything.

"Beautiful colors like melted red roses! Refreshing acidity in the sweetness. Then I feel strongly the scent of Scotch! What a way to drink this! Let me know!

Yell so excitedly.

"Calm down, Katie," Gaelnote said, realizing he was excited, blushing and lowering his back.

"I'm sorry...... but I didn't know there was such a good way to drink. It was really good..."

That's what I say and look at the glass unfortunately.

This cocktail is an arranged version of "New York”, a whiskey-based cocktail. It is Scotch because there is no bourbon or rye whiskey, and I am replacing it with lemon because I did not get lime. It may be close to the "Irish Rose” arrangement because it's a lemon.

Grenadine syrup - pomegranate syrup - was brought in by chance by a Plymouth merchant, so I use it.

"There is no name for this way of drinking. Rather, it's too incomplete to spread the word at all."

"Why not? It's so delicious..." Kati stares at me with a glance. There are things that come gleefully for a beautiful lady to look up to, but there is no particular emotion even if the aunt of the store stares at them in the same way.

"When this way of drinking becomes more common, the true taste of alcohol is compromised."

"Really? It tastes exquisite to me."

Shake your head "Cover" and explain as you lift the ingredients.

"This imposes sweetness, acidity and aroma. It may be good for poor quality distilled liquor, but the distilled liquor you are aiming for in this village is the only quality completed with it. As you can see, the original scent of Scotch is dead."

"That could be true... then why did you let him drink it? You're the only one who can come up with this. If you keep your mouth shut, nobody will notice. Why not?

Ulrich has been running into questions on behalf of the Dwarves.

"Because one of these days I thought someone would notice. I am not at all willing to deny this very way of drinking. From now on, a lot of booze will be made in a lot of places. You can have alcohol in it that aims to drink this way. But I wanted to declare that it wasn't what the Lockhart family wanted."

I liked cocktails myself. No, I would still like it if I had an armed bartender in this world and enough material.

However, I think that the way I drink cocktails is off in terms of using a lot of citrus and adding aroma and flavor with flavor-based liqueurs, which makes use of the flavor of the alcohol on which it is based.

There are many gin-based cocktails that make it easier to drink while taking advantage of the original aroma of gin, so I can't say all about them. Still, there's no point in using quality scotch or brandy as a cocktail base, and I didn't think it was the booze I was after.

After a slight silence, I said to my words, "That's Zach!," "I agree with you!," the Dwarves stand up and declare. Kati stood up the same way,

"That's true. If they tell me to choose between the Zack collection and the Zack collection, I will not hesitate to choose the Zack collection. Of course, I'd like to choose both."

Explain the purpose of this one.

"This time, I did this pastime because I wanted you to know that distilled liquor is not just a straight drink. It can be used for cooking, or even diluted and drinkable to taste delicious. You can mix something up. Of course, you can drink straight, like all Dwarves. So even if you don't think it's straightforward and delicious, there must be a way to drink it that's right for you. I want you to find it…"

The audience had heard my explanation flashly, but Kati began to applaud me when she said "It's great" and stood up.

"That attitude in pursuit of the potential of alcohol, I am impressed. I'd love to spread the word to more of you."

Ulrich and the others rise to applaud the words, and the audience applauds in the same way. The applause was echoing as the sun slammed into the meadows.

By the way, Elwes drank scotch, just like Dwarf and Kati, and was flustered.

"When the taste atmosphere changes, you can drink it. Ugh... disgusting..."

For once, I carried him into the rest stop after hanging the magic of detoxification, but I'm reflecting that I did something wrong to him.

(Water cracking, highball, twice up, half-rock. This alone is double enough for two drinks. Plus, rock, mist and straight. New York moddle...... just haven't drunk it all, but you're still drinking three or four double glasses in this short time. I've had quite a few drinks before that, and it was a failure to make you star with Dwarf...)

5pm.

The festival, named Liquor Quality Review, sponsored by the Blacksmith's Guild, was also coming to an end.

A course called My Fun? The aggregation work that had been carried out during that time was also completed and the results were ready for presentation.

Jonathan Water, a moderating blacksmith guild clerk, hands an envelope with the results to his lord, Father.

It's sponsored by the Blacksmith Guild, so I feel like Ulrich Drexler, the master craftsman, is a presenter, but Ulrich himself is a participant, so he asked his father, Masaias. My father is happy to take on the momentum with the liquor in it, and he plays the giver in a way that feels like Norinoli.

When you slowly open the envelope Johnny gave you, the music played by the musicians stops at the same time. The venue stifled and only the sound of the wind was heard around.

(Doesn't that just sound like a drum...)

If it's a Japanese TV show, wait for the results to be announced, blurring that the drum roll called "Dalalalala” sounds.

My father said heavily, "I will now announce the third highest number of votes for the first Alcohol and Beverage Review. The third place is…". I was spitting on that “hoard” without knowing it even though I thought it sounded like some moderator.

"Plymouth Branch, Vanilla Grill of Plymouth's Big Horn Beef" Great Horn "just like Lord Gunter Fink's Brown Beer!

There are also mixed voices of dismay cheering from the Plymouth branch, but failing to win. Gunter's beer was rich in brown type beer and went very well with a large roll of meat skewers covered with plenty of vanilla. There is also a version of this vanilla grill cooked as boned meat without stabbing it in the skewer, which is unlike skewer grill with a moist texture that makes it difficult to add A and B.

Where the cheer is quiet, Johnny urges his father to continue, "Lord, please announce second place". My father nodded small at it,

"Now second place...... Ars General Headquarters, White Beer of Lord Ulrich Drexler and White Sausage of Ars!

The announcement cheers from around, but Ulrich drops his shoulders disappointingly.

Then wait for the venue to quiet down again and move on to the number one announcement.

"First and second place were very slightly different. Okay, number one! Welburn Branch, Pale Ale of Lord Dagenhardt Grabsch and Fries of Mass at Rasmore Village Black Pond (Black Ruff) Pavilion!

At that moment, a booth at the Wellburn branch said, "Okay!," "Wow!" Cheers like an anger. There was also a great deal of cheer in the booth of the village of Rasmore.

My father said, "They were all delicious to me. Zach, you do the general review," he invites me.

For once, I nod "yes" because this is the right place for the meeting, and I'm going up to the stage.

And after a gratuity,

"As my father said earlier, the vote cracked wide open. In fact, votes are not so far apart from first to fifth place. I mean, each one was delicious. If it had been done elsewhere, not here, the results would probably have changed. It was a difference to that extent. Drinking is fun. So enjoy the results without restraint."

So I looked around the venue,

"These events should be done in many more places. To do so, it must be peaceful. Unfortunately, this time the Aurelia branch abruptly withdrew. No other branch of Lax or Sartooth has been able to participate. If you can, next time, I want it to be a festival open to all countries! Thank God I was able to share this time" When "!

So I bow my head big. Soon I'll be wrapped up in applause for just breaking it.

Ulrich comes up on stage.

I thought everyone but Dwarf would make a declaration of closure. But the words he uttered exceeded my expectations.

"We still have booze! I haven't had enough! Don't drink until you run out of booze!

The Dwarves said in that word, "Ooh!!" "I respond. My father and MC Johnny were flabbergasted, losing their words. Of course, so am I.

In the meantime, Ulrich said, "What are you doing! Drink, drink! Sing! I said," I started singing.

(No, this will open, normal...)

That's what I thought, but I immediately recall Dwarf's habit.

(Yes... I forgot that the Dwarves can't possibly leave the overnight booze... just imagine what's going on here tomorrow morning...)

With that in mind, he went into the circle of songs to be drawn to Ulrich.

Sharon Jakes describes the festival, later called the First Dwarf Festival, in her diary.

'... I had so much fun today with so much good alcohol and food. But what was better than that was that Master Zach seemed to enjoy it. Because it felt like I had been straining myself ever since Luna got here... I felt like I was screaming the last time Mr. Ulrich pulled me over, but maybe it's because I drink the alcohol I love. I wanted to be with you, too, but your wife said, "We should probably go home. I ate too much today, and let's take a bath and take it slow," you said with a serious face, so no one else in the Lockhart family but Lydia and Beatrice could stay. At that time, I felt your wife's gaze looking far away. And somehow, why did you think I shouldn't stay?

And this is what the diary says the next day.

"... before his morning training, Master Zach was returned to Hakaga Hill with sleepy eyes. Dear Hall, I was told that Master Rod had been with me all night. Mr. Lydia was back at some point, but it looks like Mr. Beatrice stayed up all night, too. But Mr. Beatrice was fine, as usual. I say," I work out differently, "but I feel a little different... my predecessors used to come to morning training as usual. They didn't seem to drink much because of the night security...... Master Zach and the Hall were flirting and waving their swords. Rarely scolded, Master Rod had also been scolded many times by his predecessors. All three looked really spicy. I asked Lydia because I can't use healing magic, and she said," You deserve it. I'm not hungover, so sleep a little and you'll be fine, "she said no. If Lydia says so, you shouldn't have to worry...... '

It also describes the venue after the festival.

'... I went to the northern meadows after my morning training and it was amazing. Mr. Ulrich and the others were still drinking and singing. I really wonder how much you Dwarves can drink. But for some reason, Mr. Kati was singing along. I wonder if this guy is really human...... Johnny was cleaning up after him so I said hello and he said, "Almost empty all the barrels. Now I can sleep too......" I was moving my hand half asleep. I think this guy who does a good job even in this condition is really amazing... when he went behind the scenes, the drunk people were sleeping wrapped in blankets. I had a brother in it, so I woke him up. Because I couldn't allow Master Zach and the others to be sleeping while they were training. My waking brother ran behind the tent with a bright blue face. I don't know where he went, but he stayed blue until night that day. Nobody cared because most people were like that except all the Dwarves and Kati......'
