Dream Life

Lesson 38: The Transfer of Luna

April 17th evening.

Luna came to Periclitle, the city of adventurers, with the Beatrices. I was surprised because I didn't think you'd come until I picked you up.

Luna apologized as soon as she saw Liddy's face.

"I'm sorry. It may not be a question of apologizing, but I said terrible things. I'm so sorry."

That's what I say and I bow my head big.

"I'm staying at another inn," he said without looking me in the eye, leaving.

"I was able to sort my mind out somewhat... but you..." Beatrice likes, Mel says, "I'm with you" and goes after Luna.

I don't even think I can sort my mind out in about five days, so I had to drop it off because I had no choice.

You care about me like that, or Sharon says, "What about Mr. Luna's party in?" and changed the subject.

"I'll talk to you at dinner. In the meantime, I'll thank you. Thank you," I urged him to come out of his gear.

I can tell Mel I checked into a nearby inn before dinner.

"I think it's okay because I'm calm now. But I don't think Master Zach should be too face-to-face."

"Right...... ok. I'm sorry, but I need her."

"Leave it to me," he smiled, leaving the "Arid Eagle's Nest” pavilion where we would stay.

With Mel and Luna absent, dinner surrounds the table with Liddy, Beatrice and Sharon.

Beatrice asks me about you in Cardobec, and I'm relieved that I'm a little calm.

"... but when I saw your face, you said you weren't sure yourself. We'll have to figure out how to keep an eye on him from now on."

"Oh, yeah"

"So, what's going on over here?"

Inform Beatrice of the results such as gathering information here.

"The bowman managed with Liddy's handover. I've found a candidate for the party."

"Have you found it yet," said Beatrice. Because there are usually very few vacancies at the party and you will ask around to see if you are looking for additional personnel.

"Oh, I was lucky. Joan bought me information from the owner of a nearby inn."

That explains Hazel's party.

"So what do you do? Will you be calling that party right away?

In response to Sharon's question, "I'm a little lost," Liddy pinched her mouth.

"Shouldn't we talk about it? Sure, I wouldn't count on it, but that's what I have to do."

"I haven't seen those kids, but I think so, too. No, I didn't. Well, you should think about who speaks up."

Decide your mind with the two opinions.

"I'll speak up. This is my responsibility, too."

"So what if it works? There are plenty of opportunities to meet each other here," Liddy asks.

"I'm going to be in this city for a month or two, so I'd better make it another inn"

"Then why don't we rent a house like we did in Doctus?" Sharon suggests.

"I'm not in trouble with the money, and I think it's okay with the inn?

"As soon as it's an inn, it becomes a rumor. Because Mr Lydia and Mr Beatrice are very prominent. If that happens, there will be rumors all at once that Master Zach is in this town."

Sharon's right, we stand out. This is still fine because my husband Yoan distracts me from the "nest of rough eagles," but it will soon be rumored that I don't know it.

"Find a home in the East End. I hope you don't mind seeing Luna."

I was able to ask Joan to mediate that night and attach an appointment to meet with Hazel the next night.

The next day, let Liddy and Beatrice guide the city so Luna can easily live. Mel and Sharon, and I got free, so I decided to go find a house in the East End.

Periclitle is divided into commercial districts to the north, adventurers' streets to the south, pleasure streets to the west, and residential areas to the east. It is a large city with 50,000 inhabitants, with shops in the East End, and residential areas outside the East End.

Because there are many family adventurers living in the East End, we see many people walking with their gear on.

There is also a Chamber of Commerce for real estate relations in this city, which decided to have them look for properties with no problems with short-term contracts. Speaking to a realtor employee, renting a house at a party is not uncommon and we quickly found a property that fits our needs.

Finish your contract for a month for now and head to the East Branch of the Adventurers Guild.

There are three Adventurer Alliance buildings in this city. With its general headquarters and branches east and west of the city, the East Branch specializes in Aquila requests.

We talked about whether there was any abnormality here, but there was no novel information because it was always the same.

That night, Hazel headed to the inn where she was staying. He said the Liddies followed him, but I'm alone.

The inn is quite small compared to the "nest of rough eagles” where we stay, and there are many young people in their mid-teens to early twenties who have different guests in the dining room.

Waiting in the corner of the dining room came Hazel, who made his expression so alarming.

"I wonder if you'd like to see me."

My voice is stiffer than what I saw on the training ground. I guess I'm alert to the man who showed up suddenly.

"I say Zacharias Lockhart. Are you glad you're Mr. Hazel?

"Yeah, it's Hazel... Lockhart? It's Lord Zacharias of the Lockhart family!

The hand I stretched out to shake my hand stopped surprisingly much.

"It's that Zacharias. I have a favor to ask of you today."

Hazel said, "Please?," he leans his neck, "but when I prompt him," Shall I sit down first, "he sits in a chair staring at my face.

"What can a celebrity, even a countryman like me, know for someone like me?

"I'm just an adventurer here, so Zach is fine. Of course not."

"That being said... ok. Well, let me ask you something, but what kind of errand is it?

I am heartily impressed by the way you switch lightly, which is surprisingly bold.

"I have a sixteen-year-old archer at my edge. I heard you were looking for an archer at Mr. Hazel's party. So I was wondering if you could add me to your party, and I came here to beg you with indignation."

"An edger? A Lockhart family man at my party? I can't see the story."

"We'll talk in turn. My edger is Luna Lockhart. I'll hit my sister-in-law. My parents adopted my daughter..."

"That would have happened if you said so," he mutters, starting with the story of his help in the village of Thysek. Six years ago, I guess I remembered it because it was also a big commotion here in Periclitle.

"She's troubled now. The Lockhart family's name is overloaded. There are other reasons, but it's personal, so you should hear it from him..."

Blurring about my relationship, I'll talk about Luna's abilities.

"As I said earlier, I'm sixteen years old. I signed up as an adventurer six months ago, and I'm now at level seven. You can act all the way through the woods...... use a slightly unusual bow, but not less capable as an archer. Of course, it's not the standard of the Lockhart family, but it's common. The current level is twenty-three..."

I'll finish the story in about five minutes.

"I want you to let me ask you a few questions, but the thing that bothers me most is why you chose my place. If you're part of the Lockhart family, you're welcome anywhere because you can connect with the Blacksmith Guild."

This question is within our expectations.

"First question, it's a total coincidence. I happen to know there's a party here looking for an archer."

"Coincidence......" he mutters, but he doesn't look convinced.

"I'm not that celebrity, though? I said coincidence, how did you know?

"It's a real coincidence that I found out about you. Do you know an inn called Arid Eagle's Nest?

"Yeah, I know... I see that inn had an edge (itch) with the Lockhart family. Alcohol entanglement."

They've lived there for over seven years, and they seem to be familiar with the information around here.

"I've known Yoan, the innkeeper's husband, for ten years. I talked to him about my sister because of that relationship, and he told me he was looking for an archer at your party. When I heard the story, I was called out because the leader was an ideal combination of a woman, a healer, a veteran scourge, and a relatively young man."

"Okay," he said, nodding small enough to keep going. I felt that my liver was more resting than I thought on the trick.

"The second question or confirmation, as I said earlier, she feels a heavy load of Lockhart's name. So we just want to live in a position called Luna, so it makes absolutely no sense to name Lockhart."

"Right," he nodded, expressing empathy for Luna's situation.

"I wish it was Lockhart from birth, but if even half the stories I hear about rumors are true, I'd be burdened with the fact that she's a normal kid. I think I'm gonna want to get out of here."

Nod loudly at the words.

"Yeah, I think so. I chose your party because I thought it would be good for her."

Though I once expressed empathy, I have pointed out the biggest problem.

"Although my adopted daughter, if anything happens to the famous Lockhart family warrant, it's gonna be a big problem. I consider myself more cautious than others, but definitely not in the woods. I'm sure you know this is also a first-rate adventurer. So you can't just let someone in like you can't take responsibility."

I also assumed this, so I will answer immediately.

"Don't worry about that. I, and my father, Masaias, are familiar with the task of being an adventurer. On top of that, we decided to send one of her out, so we can't blame her for losing her life."

"Yes..." he said, staring me in the eye. Take your gaze and be sure this person is a hit.

"It doesn't benefit me?

"Aren't you just satisfied with the addition of a good young archer? Of course, I hope you know my sister's personality before you decide."

I thought we were bound to talk about the benefits. But I'm not willing to give you anything in return in relation to the Lockhart family or the Blacksmith Guild. If I was going to say no to that, I'd say no.

"Right. We need to be sure of the arms and the people, but if you're recommending them without the eye of your body, we don't even wish for them. I thought my new buddies were better off with women."

inner relief in her answer, but not in her expression.

"So can you meet my sister once? I will not be present on the spot, but my wife will be present instead"

"Ma'am?... With that said (all-range) in all directions... nothing," he grinned.

"I can't promise to let you in the party if I see you. We need to act together for a few days after the members admit it. So that's okay."

"Of course it is. It's more reassuring."

The next day, Mel takes Luna on my behalf.

Later, Mel told me that Hazel had called a member to meet him face-to-face after he spoke, and further confirmed his arm at the training ground.

"I think it's okay to keep Mr. Luna if I'm that guy too. He's a very bright man, because he was making sure that every single thing was right."

Not only did they check the bow's arm, but they also checked the skill needed as an adventurer party to see if they could follow their instructions or follow the movements of other members properly.

Mel dropped the bomb when I tried to exhale relief.

"There's just one thing I care about," he said with a serious look.

From what I've looked into, there shouldn't have been any major problems. Maybe Mel noticed something important.

"What do you care?

You saw anxiety in my expression, and Mel laughed, "It's not a big deal at all,"

"It's like a boy named Ryan, the youngest Halvard user, fell in love with Luna at first sight. Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

I'm relieved by that word. Apparently, you've been trying to pull out my shoulder, which keeps me distracted.

I'm optimistic about Mel's words, but I saw hope. Luna herself also thought that her feelings might change if she were in the position she was supposedly in.

"Well... I hope that changes things a bit"

Two days later, on April 20th, Luna was officially to join Hazel's party.
