Dream Life

Lesson 57: Rendezvous

Even after returning to Riccadale feeling the signs of a terrible enemy, he was repeatedly scouting. Basically around Riccadale, but I've also been near that valley a few times.

The reconnaissance was carried out without regard for danger, and it has been found.

First, it turns out that the Great Demon (Greater Demon) and the Demon (Demon) perform frequent reconnaissance. Even so, it focuses around the valley, not near Rickadale, and the Rickadale adventurers have yet to witness it.

Those great demons, but as expected, their ability to defeat the enemy was low. Precisely not in a good way, I never saw a bare gesture of discovering us.

We're trying not to find them either. Equipped with a white Tiger Stripe hooded cape, he was trying to make it hard to notice in the distance. Camouflage cape, but kept in storage magic (inventory) as winter gear.

I try a lot more. For example, he walked under the tree as quickly as possible to avoid discovering footprints left in the snow and to move as quickly as possible where there was little shelter.

The reconnaissance of the Great Demons starts about 100 meters above the sky. The route is the same every time, and no method is used to differentiate the time.

At first I wondered if it was a trap, hiding in holes made of earthly attribute magic, etc., to spy on the way out of the enemy, or turn back as it was.

But never approaching the valley with the will did the enemy take any action.

Nevertheless, there were grounddragons (Land Dragons) and the first giant (Cyclops) in the valley, and there were even more third-degree equivalent multi-headed snake dragons (Hydra) and four-handed bears (Four Arms Bears).

Discussions with Liddy and the others led me to the conclusion that I might be trying to boost my power, but as far as I'm concerned, I can't help but question that conclusion.

If there are demons so powerful that we trembled with terror, then you just have to go down the mountain and attack them without adding more demons of the third degree or so.

Isn't there a reason why we can't do that? That's my question.

"Either way, Grounddragon and Cyclops are in the way. If we don't get rid of these guys, we won't be able to match our fate."

Beatrice is right, even the enemy's power today is too excessive for us to mount an ambush.

"Isn't that what you're after? There is no doubt that there are enemies in that cave. There's some kind of limitation and I can't move, so I think you're trying to attract us."

No one disagrees with Sharon. In fact, that nasty power overflowed from the cave from time to time. It means the enemy is still in that place.

"But even if you wait, your enemies will be stronger. I don't know if I can defeat you, but if I'm just gonna hurt you, if I snipe with your new magic, I can figure it out, right? So if we're going to fight, I think we'd better hurry."

"That's right, but that magic can't be used for an ambush," he shook his neck sideways.

Liddy says the new magic is light attribute magic for the General (Archdaemon). There is no tracking function, but either attack power or penetration is not a magic ratio to date, boasting the ability to instantly penetrate even a plate of magically resistant misrills.

The specific image is "laser”.

I focused on the “light” part of the optical attribute and imagined the principles of the laser oscillator.

It is necessary to create an excitation state in order to amplify the light. Substitute the energy needed to create that exciting state with the power of the Spirit and amplify the light created by magic.

Of course, it's pretty nasty because I don't remember a strict theory, but I can do the image, so there's no problem.

This magic has more than ten times the attack power of the Light Spear (Shining Lance), a single-attack magic of the Light attribute, and flies at even faster speeds of light, so there is no way to avoid it.

It can also be swept away like a light sword (shining saber) because it can be seen as a line of light and if you keep putting magic into it, it will not disappear.

If this magic is good for the dragons, they can be stopped in one shot.

But it's not like there's no weakness.

First of all, the problem is that amplification takes time. The chanting time of the spell is about thirty seconds, but then we must continue to give the power of the Spirit for nearly a minute.

And that state is a magically activated state, emitting a very strong light. It's hard to say it's practical because even if we do an ambush, we can either hide ourselves from the second time or attack them before they let us go.

High magic consumption is also a weakness.

By the time it fires, even my current magic power will take more than 10%. It also consumes about five percent of its magic per second if it continues, so if it continues for three seconds, it loses a quarter of its magic.

There are many other spirits of light, that is, if not sunny daylight, they become less powerful at once. It activates even at night, but is completely useless because it attenuates during amplification.

In other words, it can only be used during daytime outdoor conditions, and it is difficult to use magic that not only takes time after activation, but it is also very noticeable.

For that reason, I had it for a long time as an idea but it didn't make it practical.

I'm thinking about whether I can do more powerful magic about other attributes, but I couldn't have thought of it before, but suddenly I couldn't think of it, and I just have to fight with the existing magic and the laser magic I developed this time, Lightning of Lucidus.

Turning back to the enemy's abilities, although they are low, combat power is overwhelming.

When Dan and I went to explore enemy action, we stumbled upon him fighting the Necromancer Mage (Rich).

Rich was leading a family Necromancer (Death Knight) and a Skeleton Knight.

Its rich, but stronger than the individuals who were under Vlad Varonos, King of the Undead, was capable enough to carry out a series of powerful magic of fire attributes such as prison flame spears (Hellfire lance) and flame storms (Firestorm). Even we at Zachsextedt were enemies whose struggles were inevitable if we met from the front.

Death Knight, but three in number. Originally an undead system makes it strong for simple physical attacks. He was an individual with a dark all-body armor, a fiercely tattooed shield and a large curved knife (falción) on his body about two metres long, and felt a strong force.

Skeleton Night is a superior skeleton species with more swordsmanship than normal skeletons. That was about ten bodies, standing forward to protect Rich.

On the devil's side, there are two great demons and a ground dragon in a man who looks like a wing demon. There were about ten demons, swirling over the sky.

When the man ordered the Great Devil and the Ground Dragon to attack, he himself began to cast a spell. The magic is dark attribute magic, not used against the demons of a normal necromancer system, so much so that I leaned my neck against its unnaturalness.

But then it was overwhelming.

The Great Demon easily prevented the powerful magic unleashed by Rich. The Great Demon took the magic using the big black shield, which should be called the "Shield of Darkness”. Surprisingly, it was even flat under the spear of prison flame (Hellfire), which melted steel.

I didn't have it before the fight started, so it would have been made of magic or removed from storage magic.

In the meantime, the ground dragon rammed into Death Knight and Skeleton Knight. I thought it was a mistake to maneuver into that reckless assault, but shortly thereafter the magic of the Winged Demons is activated.

The darkness gathers from around us and gradually becomes human. Its size was about fifteen meters and it exceeded the adult size of a cyclops.

And then a giant of darkness sets up a heavy footsteps called Zuchin Zuchin Zuchin and crushes the Death Knights.

Rich understood the disadvantage or tried to escape with the magic of the flight system. But a Winged Demon man flew at more speeds and pulled Rich bare hands down to the ground.

Then he spoke to Rich somehow, but when he shook his head sideways small, he twisted Rich's head with one hand.

The time taken for that is about three minutes. We watched it in the shade of a rock about fifty meters away, but not long enough to think about escape.

When the Winged Demons recovered Riches' Demon Crystal Stone, they treated the wounded Grounddragon and threw more Demon Crystal Stone into the Grounddragon's mouth, they began to use magic.

I didn't know what I was doing, but I'm thinking I might have tried to improve the ability of the Grounddragon.

The Winged Demons take the demons and fly towards the cave. The remaining great demon followed slowly after him with the earth dragon.

After the signs disappear completely, exhale.

"You're a terrible enemy," Dunn muttered in a plundered voice.

I could only answer "Oh". Because I had no idea how to fight an enemy with so much overwhelming power.

Still, it didn't look like the enemy found it. If they had found us, they would have killed us instantly.

Thinking about it, their weakness is still their ability to fight back. But when you can show so much power, you can't deny the possibility that you think it's unnecessary, such as an enemy.

That happened, but in the end only time had passed, with nothing to see out of the way to open it.

We become silent in desperate circumstances, but a nostalgic face appeared on the evening of March 21.

I was training in the near field today to get back into the mountains tomorrow. That's why I was waiting for Liddy and the others in the inn cafeteria with the intention of going to the evening training earlier than usual.

I heard him say, "Keep your face in a recession."

Looking back, there was the figure of my grandfather, Govan, who weaved a crested cloak of the Lockhart family.

After saying "Dear Uncle......" behind it were my brother Rodrick and Walt and all the other ministers who were lords, speechless.

"I'm here to help. I brought everyone I could use, except Matt. We can't take down dragons."

"Is it a dragon......" but I nod without saying anything because my grandfather feels like not saying anything and has complained with his eyes.

By then the Liddies have come to the dining room and are happy to reunite.

"I'm just tired. I'd like to get a room, too. There are twenty of them, but they're free."

"I don't know if I can confirm it, but this inn alone is probably fine."

The Momo Tree Pavilion we're staying at is a luxury accommodation for second-degree adventurers. With fewer second-degree parties now, third-degree adventurers are also staying, but at this time of low earnings is it tough or there are many vacancies?

When I checked with the innkeeper, I was able to secure a room for everyone.

Gladys, a second-degree adventurer who was surprised to see his grandfathers, spoke as his grandfathers headed to the room to remove their gear.

"Since when has Rickadale become the territory of the Lockhart family? ♪ So much so that you've told me ♪

"It's our backup. For once, the touch of the exorcism of the Land Dragon..."

Gladys also guessed the meaning of my words, nodding small.

My grandfathers came back to the dining room. My face naturally breaks with all the nostalgic faces.

"I don't think I've seen Master Zach smile in a long time," Mel said.

Having said that, she has also not had her usual bright smile lately, finding a short amount of time and doing her workouts with a contemplative look.

"If you have all this fighting power, you're going to figure it out somewhat," Beatrice says, "but it's an act to keep the squire from getting anxious, not serious.

When the meal begins, Gladys and the other adventurers come to greet us.

My grandfather responds to the tense adventurers with an uncontrolled smile.

"Non has also been an adventurer in Periclitle. Now he's part of the nobility, but I hope he treats me like an adventurer."

"That's right. Govi was hunting demons east of Periclitle with me. And Guy was an adventurer until he came to us. You don't have to worry about it."

When Liddy introduces him with his grandfather's shoulder in his arms, the Gladys' tension only loosens a little bit. In the last few months, Liddy has been working with adventurers staying in this inn.

After that I enjoyed the food and conversation with ease. But alcohol only drinks about a jock, and not a single person drinks deeply.

After dinner, my grandfather followed my brother and Walt into my room. I welcome you with Sharon.

"How's it going? I thought you shouldn't hear it in the dining room."

He seems to have taken care not to talk pessimistic in front of the adventurers.

"The situation is very tough. The enemy is trying to boost their power…"

I will explain what turns out after I send the letter.

When I finished talking, my grandfather exhaled heavily.

"If there are winged demons flying in the sky and the Great Demons, we can handle just Nun and the others... So, Nun and the others joined us, but have you come up with any ideas?

I was with Sharon to discuss that.

"Nothing yet," I replied, and Sharon said, "It's a big mess, but I have an idea."

"First, sort out the strengths and weaknesses of the enemy. The strengths are that the power of the mysterious demon is so strong that it cannot be measured, that the winged demon-like figure is a very powerful magician, that there are many flying demons such as the Great Demon and the Demon, and that he follows durable demons such as the Ground Dragon and the Cyclops."

So Sharon sees Walt with his grandfather. They have a bitter look on their faces, but nodded as small as they understood.

"The next weakness, but low enemy capability, is the biggest thing. Others are that demons on earth, such as ground dragons, travel at a much slower rate than the Great Demons. I have another point..."

Mouthful there.

"You mean there's a reason the mysterious demon can't move," Sharon nods loudly as I turn to the water.

"Yes, but I'm not sure I can really move, so I don't want it to be a prerequisite for the operation"

After talking that far, I see my grandfathers face again.

"Needless to say about us, we sort out strengths and weaknesses just in case. Strengths include high enemy capability and high magic resistance with Mithril protective equipment. Others, Dear Zach, Lydia, I think magical aggression by me is also a strength. It is also a strength to use the skilled weapon of a celebrity."

So my grandfather pinched his mouth.

"Regardless of your magic, Non's attack power is relative. If your opponent is more than Vlad, can't it be a strength?

"Perhaps so, but at least with the sword wrapped in magic by our predecessors, even dragons will be slashed and torn apart. The strength is that the attack will pass."

"I see. Then I understand. Sorry I broke your hips."

Sharon said, "No. It's okay," he says, then goes on to talk.

"Weakness, then, but first of all, I think the greatest weakness is that our predecessors are not used to the land."

The three of us snort at the words.

It is possible that unexpected events cannot be dealt with in unfamiliar lands. It is also difficult to collaborate, making mistakes that are unlikely in the village and likely to drain the power of the war.

"The next thing you know, the number of people has made it harder to act covertly. Whatever your father or Mr. Hector is, I think if this many people get into the mountains, they're very likely to be discovered."

I also fully agree with this point.

"The last thing you have to do is not grasp the capabilities of your enemies. Especially about the mysterious demon, but I haven't even seen him. I mean, I have no idea how to fight it."

"Right. I felt only signs, but I don't know what kind of enemy. Well, if you put it in that cave, there's no such thing as a giant or a big dragon..."

Sharon started talking about the measures where he thought his grandfathers could have organized the information.

"It's a fight based on that, but if you hit it from the front, you'll definitely lose first......"

I didn't expect to use the word "defeat” against my grandfather, who was a hero. But I don't say anything in particular because I think the same thing.

"... The enemy continues to gain strength for some reason. I don't know what you're after, but you think it's not enough with your current power. Take it backwards."

"Take it backwards? What's that supposed to mean?

"We're going to reduce the number of demons that are in the enemy. Dear Zach and my magic would suffice."

"I know you're going to destroy each one. I haven't seen the devil, but you and Zach are natural enemies to a flying demon. So I can also understand that I can defeat the demon. What I don't know is how that connects to the earlier conversation about taking it backwards."

That's where I join the conversation.

"The enemy doesn't want to drain their power. So if the demons who came out to scout are defeated, they will either stop scouting or try to increase the number of demons they put out to scout so they don't get hit. Whether the demons become two, or the Great Demons come out, if we keep attacking, we just have to stop scouting. That way, this one can prepare the trap. That's what I'm saying."

"Yes, as Master Zach said. Ground dragons and cyclops, the enemy's avant-garde, cannot move agile. So, if you're frustrated with the scout hunt and even if you're launching an attack, the Winged Demons and the Great Demons will dominate. If they're the only ones who are good at ranged attacks, I think it's also possible to wipe them out if we fight well. If you decide to defeat the dragons after defeating the demons and finally fight the mysterious demons, you should be able to increase your chances of winning a little bit."

"I see. You're absolutely right. Nong et al also have a Mithrill-coated shield available for the number of people this time. The magic of the demons will prevent it."

From the information Dan sent, my grandfather seems to have prepared a shield that can prevent a magical attack.

My grandfather gets a bright look.

"Sounds like we can handle it. Well, let me know what you plan to do from tomorrow."

Then I packed my plans for tomorrow, but I didn't think Sharon's plan would work. Sometimes there are unknown enemies, but I didn't think that the Winged Demons would move as we thought they would.
