Dream Life

Episode 69: Sweeping the Remaining Enemy

March 28th after 6pm.

The curtain fell on Ashtal's death battle.

It was a fierce battle, but settled in a shorter time than I thought. But the victory was obtained by many sacrifices.

Brett and Ricky, his squire slashed by Ashtal, failed to treat Liddy in time and both lost their lives. I know I can't back down in that situation, but if I hit the cure, it could have helped and I would regret it.

Nicholas, whose left arm was slashed off the tip of his elbow, took his life. Because of Ashtal's sharp slaughter, the effect on his body was smaller than he thought. But I couldn't recover my slashed arm, so even with my healing magic, I wouldn't let it regenerate, and I have to live with one right arm in the future.

My brother Rodrick, although damaged by Ashtal's magic to his spirit, is recovering from Liddy's magic. So was the magic I received, because the effect of the darkness arrows made impromptu was smaller than the magic of the giant dark sphere the Byrons received.

And the most worrying thing about the status quo is the situation with Mel and Dan.

Though Mel was deeply slashed on his right shoulder, he did not become an instant death wound thanks to Mithrilled chainmail from Gaelnote, a famous Dwarf worker. Still damaged arteries, bleeding heavily and remaining unconscious.

Although the treatment is complete, the blood color is poor and breathing is shallow.

Dan was even more serious.

His gut had been heavily damaged from being stabbed deeply in the abdomen. If my magic was good enough, I would have been completely restored, but I couldn't afford to spend all my time purifying it with repairs to my guts, blood vessels, etc. I am now experiencing high fever with unconsciousness, a situation that does not allow me to predict.

I mean Walt and Guy, who pushed Ashtal in the end, but initially, their survival seemed hopeless. The last time I checked was until I walked into this room, and I didn't think I could stand the blast that easily crushed the demonic props on the barrier.

But the two of them were alive.

Shortly after he jumped into the room, he threw himself out onto the wall and spent the blast in a position that protected his head and abdomen.

As a result, he suffered major lacerations to his legs and arms, and although his eardrum was torn, it did not lead to fatal injuries.

It's a late thought, but it's likely that we were helped by the two of us.

If Ashtal had stayed at the entrance to the room when he blew himself up, most of the energy from the explosion would have gone to this room. This is because the aisle is L-shaped and narrower than the room, so the energy is concentrated in the back of the room where it is easy to turn.

Thanks to carrying Ashtal's body at the end of the bend, the energy of the explosion would have slipped through the basement for the first base built and the passage leading outside, and the whole cave would not have collapsed.

It's an easy thing to think about.

Liquids and gases flow to the less resistant.

The aisle shape, but the basement for the showdown was daring to narrow down to seal the demons' movements.

In addition, the first base is widely built for habitability, and many ventilation outlets are built to further install fireplaces and reduce air fouling. In addition, the passage connected to the outside is modestly sized for easy access.

Conversely, my tiny spot is a closed space.

For this reason, like cannons and guns, the explosive energy erupted towards a wider space.

Due to this effect, it is believed that the Great Demon (Greater Demon) suffered less damage than it had assumed.

Although Walt and Guy were attacked by flying rock fragments because they wore armor made by a famous Dwarf worker, the armor cut them off.

Those factors overlapped and the two survived. And with Liddy's treatment, he's now recovering by the time he can act somewhat.

My situation, but the magic is laying down with almost zero power and striving to restore the magic. Liddy is wearing out her magic too, resting her body just like she did beside me.

He triumphed over the Demon General, a terrible enemy, but his grandfathers never let him down. Because there are still the biggest enemies, the pitch-black demons, and whenever they show up here, it's not weird.

My grandfather keeps an eye on the room he was using at the base and the exit for the escape, ordering him to be ready for immediate action, except for the seriously injured.

He also had Sharon with his brother and was discussing the future. I don't take part in restoring magic as a priority, but I only stand by my ears.

"Nothing can be done until Zach and Lydia's magic returns, but we want to talk about what lies ahead"

"Does that mean fighting that enemy?" My brother asks.

"Bye. Even a demon general named Ashtal fought so hard. I'm sorry that enemy is in a tough spot against him. It could be wiped out without a scratch."

It's a weak statement for my grandfather, but the analysis was the same as I thought.

So Sharon asked to speak. When my grandfather admitted it, he began to speak with a strong will.

"I don't think any more fights are possible. I even struggled with a demon general who was nothing more than an enemy's subordinate after so much preparation. Heading into a cave with enemies now is nothing but suicide."

My brother questions that opinion.

"Sure, but you can't just leave it alone. If the enemies of the gods strip their fangs, it's the same result even if they're in the village."

"No. That's not true," he denies exactly.

"How is it different?

"We have succeeded in sharpening the power of the enemies of the gods. I don't know why those pitch-black demons can't move, but they defeated the demon generals who can move freely. I think this is a lot of damage to the enemy as well. If the outcome of this battle delays the enemy's actions, can it be considered an adequate achievement?"

My grandfather nods loudly, "Sure he does," but there still seems to be a stray

"Doesn't that mean you can still leave the enemies of the gods alone?

"I don't think so. The mission entrusted to Master Zach in the first place is to protect and guide Mr. Luna. The enemy of the gods should be the one sent by God, Mr. Luna."

"That being said, I can't defeat that enemy on Luna. No matter how powerful he is, he can't do it."

My grandfather nods at my brother's words.

"Rod's right. Luna has a weak heart. Though the gods sent him, I don't think he can stand up to so many enemies."

Is Sharon thinking the same thing on that point, saying "I think the same thing on that point......" and mouthing slightly.

But we will soon continue our assertions in a resolute tone.

"But we have no way of knowing what the gods are thinking. There must be something for Luna that she doesn't know."

"If you say so, it may be..." my brother mutters.

My grandfather thinks of it as "um". And I started talking to Seo.

"As Sharon put it, it's hard for the gods to demand the impossible either. I just can't leave you like this. Defeating him is a different story than protecting Luna. As soon as we can move, we'll go to Periclitle and take Luna back to the village"

"I agree that I won't challenge that enemy, but can I leave it alone? Shouldn't we at least explore trends alone?

Sharon disagrees with his brother's suggestion.

"Even when it comes to exploring trends, we have the ability to detect as much as five hundred meters (melts) away. I don't even know what way you're exploring that, either. Even Mr. Hector and his father will be killed before he gets close?

"That may be true, but you won't even be able to leave it like this. Besides, it's obvious that this place is being found. Even if we retreat, we need to explore the enemy's trends.

My grandfather, who was listening to my brother and Sharon argue, makes the ruling.

"Send a reconnaissance to the enemy safe house once. However, at first, simply check using a telescope. Determine if you want to explore the safe house while looking at the situation. Either way, not until the seriously injured can move. Zach, don't listen to me."

"Yes."

"When are you going to be able to leave?

"It depends on Dan and Mel's situation. After an hour or so, I'm going to hang the healing magic again, but I think it's going to be hard to have a cup tomorrow even if it works."

"Okay. I was resting, I'm sorry," he said, starting to discuss with his brothers again.

"Tomorrow I will stand here like this. If we can move the morning after tomorrow, we'll scout the enemy strongholds as we head to Rickadale. Zach and Guy are on their way. Others move toward the next base"

Sharon tried to speak out against it, but before that, his brother disagreed.

"Zach is needed by the main unit. I'm on reconnaissance."

"I agree with the team that it is necessary, but the reconnaissance must be Zach"

"Why is that?

"First of all, it is most likely to survive. You can't judge the next time something magical happens. But Zach can tell exactly..."

"If it's about magic, why don't I go," Sharon disagrees blocking his grandfather's words.

"You'll be Guy's stepping stone. And there are other reasons."

"Is that other reason?" My brother asks.

"Bye. If that man is the enemy of the gods, if he is Zach, he can count on some help from the gods. I guess we can't lose Zach here. But others are more likely not to help either."

Neither my brother nor Sharon can argue with my grandfather's words.

"I'll make a final decision tomorrow night, but I have something to do before I do"

"Are you talking about the demons out there?

"Bye. Hydra is still there."

"Does that mean eliminating the rest and taking away some of the enemy's power?" Sharon confirms.

"But if he could use the undead, if he had to dispose of the body, he would have taken it down."

My grandfather seems to remember Vlad. I agree with that idea.

"I agree with what your predecessors thought. If there are three demons, I can handle it alone. If Hydra is the only one in the world, I think we can take her down without a problem, with her predecessors and Rod and Beatrice."

Sharon is calmly analyzing his power. If it's just Hydra, it's fine with my grandfather and my brother alone, and the three demons. If Sharon and Hector and the archers are around, there won't be any damage here, even if we let them get away.

Something bothers me. I just tried to say that and insisted Sharon should strike out immediately.

"Now the sun hasn't even set yet. If you want to fight, you should leave now."

When my brother says so, my grandfather nods loudly, too.

"Then we will deal with the remnants of the enemy! Put on a piece at once outside of the wounded and Zach and Lydia. The swordsman is Noun, the magician is Beatrice, and the archer is Hector. Sharon commands the whole thing on Zach's behalf! Let's go, then!

Everyone in that voice said, "Ooh!!" "I respond.

"Let me come with you!" Byron, who is in the wounded frame, complains, "his grandfather grinned sparingly.

"Rest now. Enough is enough. There's nothing like you leaving."

Byron said, "I understand," and pulled back. You must have convinced me that if only Hydra and the three demons were excessive, it would be an excessive force of war.

I'll pass on my concerns here just in case.

"Don't be alarmed. Because the Demon General may be treating Cyclops and four-handed bears."

"I know. But if the magicians are the only demons, the Cyclops are fine."

When I said that and raised one hand, my grandfathers left the room.

I'm in a bad mood right now.

An important family member, Mel, was hurt by a demon general named Ashtal, and his dear companion, Dan, was about to be lost.

Besides, Brett and Ricky, who traveled together, were killed and Lord Nicholas lost his arm. And yet I couldn't do anything.

Still, I was honestly horrified when my predecessors said they were going to stop confronting that pitch-black demon clan. If I were to fight, I would have lost Zach, who is all I am.

But because of that, I lost my anger destination.

That meant cleaning up the remaining enemies.

However, there is only one enemy I can deal with, Hydra, and perhaps my predecessors will defeat me. Then I end up losing this place of anger.

With that in mind, my predecessors ordered me to look at the entrance.

"Why don't you go to the entrance and see what's going on outside?"

I nodded loudly and headed for reconnaissance.

Closer to the entrance, we saw a red-stained valley at sunset. Exploring the signs, we found that there were still enemies left.

Approaching the entrance carefully and checking outside, Zach was right. Cyclops and four-handed bears were recovering after being treated. There was also a further hydra, on which two demons were seen flying.

Explore further signs, but no other signs.

Return to the basement and report the matter to your predecessor.

"As far as I could see, there were two demons and one hydra, plus Cyclops and a four-handed bear. As far as I can tell, he's recovering completely."

"There's no such thing as a black demon clan."

"You didn't feel any signs. I don't know if he was cleverly hiding."

"If you don't feel it, you don't. Besides, there's no need for someone as powerful as him to ambush you outside."

Having said that, they quietly gave orders to everyone.

"Destroy the enemy as planned. Knock down Cyclops with Non and Rod and Beatrice. Enos leads Luke and Sid, Eddie, and Hydra, and Sims stops the four-handed bear with Will and Buddy. I'll leave the devil to you, Sharon. Hector has demons in his possession, while attacking enemies as he sees fit. Then let's go."

I was delighted inside. He said he could deal with the biggest guy, Cyclops.

Once stopped near the entrance, three people with shields, Luke, Buddy and Sid, pop out. After that, my predecessors, Lord Rod, and I follow.

The enemy seems to have been slammed and moved dull.

The demons have rushed to shoot the arrows of darkness, but Luke and his men are easily prevented by their shields.

The movements of the Cyclops are also duller than just now.

"The enemy has no commander! Don't take them down all at once while you're upset!

As my predecessors said, the commander has not been determined.

"Let me go first!," he said, using the physical abilities of the Wang Tiger tribe, pulling out his predecessors once and for all.

Cyclops thought I was dangerous, he yelled loudly and swung his arms around me.

A fist bigger than my torso is swung down.

Make a roar called Dawn to determine the ground, but avoid it easily.

"You're not gonna hit me with such a big swing!

I stab a spear in my right knee screaming like that.

Cyclops can scream loudly at pain.

With his knees poked, he began to wave his arms uncleanly. I'm sorry if I hit you, but I don't feel like hitting you with something that's rampant.

My predecessors caught up with me.

You say "Woe Beyond," scratching the arm that swings and slashing your thighs.

I couldn't cut off my thighs at once that were more than two meters thick (melt), but they are still heavily cleaved and there is a lot of blood erupting.

Next to it, Master Rod is similarly slashing the opposite leg tibia, and the cyclops fall without even doing so.

"Stop it!," he shouted, then stuck a spear in his head.

The spear went in without any resistance and the cyclops stopped moving as they were.

About a minute in time. I defeated only three second-degree equivalent demons, but I can't hide my surprise in too short a time.

"What are you scared of? Next time it's Hydra!

Return to me with the reprimand of my predecessors and head to Hydra. But the battle was almost over there, too.

It was a five-necked hydra, but the three necks have already dripped without force, and the other two have also been heavily damaged. I don't think it's going to turn up because my predecessors were on their way, and I turn my gaze to the four-handed bear, but this one was already knocked down.

Hydra was also stabbed to a halt by her predecessors and Master Rod, and the battle on the ground was quickly over.

I looked up into the sky, but there was no demon figure.

Lowering his gaze, the hell was hooked on a cliff and the other one was rolling on the ground. Both bodies were stabbed with three arrows at a time, and it looks like Sharon and Lord Hector dropped them.

When I thought about raising the roar of victory, I said, "Be vigilant around you!" I heard the voice of my predecessor.

Surely there was still the greatest enemy left.

Everyone alerts their surroundings, but no enemy figure, no sign of danger.

"The Hectors remain on perimeter alert! Others retrieve the demonic crystal stone of the defeated demon! As soon as we're done collecting them, we're going back to the basement!

It hadn't been five minutes since I popped out.

Everyone seemed to have accumulated anger about this one, not just me, and it seemed to hit that anger all at once.

I also talked to Sharon, who was in command of the whole thing.

"My predecessors were too awesome to give instructions," he grinned half-heartedly.

That kind of thing, as I expected, she was magically defeating one demon, and even more damaging to the other.

After collecting the Demonic Crystal Stone, he left the Lord Hector's men at the entrance and returned to Zach's.

"You didn't have enemies," Zach asked with a strange face.

That would be so. It hasn't been twenty minutes since we left. It will take a little longer to see if there are any enemies.

"You're right, there were Cyclops and four-handed bears, too. Well, I knocked him out in no time."

"In this short time..."

The face felt more frightened than surprised.

"This is no enemy without a commander. The chatter is over. You have to restore your magic."

"Oh," it said on his face, still not to be interpreted.
