Dream Life

Lesson 56: The Evil Dragon Strikes

After 10 a.m. on March 30th.

At last, the enemy appeared.

An alarm of enemy attacks has been sounded in the air defense tower of Kanga Hill, and the watchful eye has heard the excitement that dragon-like demons are coming towards the village.

"I'm going to see it too! Enos, you need to instruct every squad to set up an air defense system! Zach, follow me!

That's all I'm saying, head to the tower on the roof of the castle.

I feel uncomfortable with the fact that the dragon is the only one as I run up the stairs.

Indeed, dragons are the most dangerous demons in this world.

In the past there have been giant dragons over fifty metres long. The dragon, called the Evil Dragon, is evil but intelligent, and the powerful braces, nails, and scales that bounce magic are the disaster itself, with a record of burning down the Empire's fortified city overnight, for every 5,000 defensemen.

You're never a good opponent to insult when you think about it that way.

But the enemy is the God of Nothingness. I feel too mediocre considering that presence is involved.

If you were going to kill me for sure, you'd be sending in other demons along with dragons.

No matter how powerful the demon, the dragon, it can be anything on its own.

Worst case scenario, because if you escape into a sturdy basement or sewer built ten meters underground, you won't be able to get your hands on how powerful braces and nails you have.

I run up the stairs thinking about that.

The tower was awaited by Liddy and a watchful archer, pointing a telescope at the eastern sky.

Hand over the telescope with Liddy pointing slightly further east than north to his father's words, "How's the enemy?"

"There it is. It's too far away to be sure how big it is."

I also take the telescope out of the storage magic (inventory) and point it in the direction she points.

The snow remaining in Aquila's mountains contrasted with rock skin and was difficult to see, but slowly and quickly found the dragon.

I honestly don't know the size because it is an unmarked sky and there are no comparisons to be made. However, it feels like a few times more than a flying dragon (Wyburn) because of the way the wings move and the way the wind snaps.

"Sounds big. That won't even scratch you with a crossbow (crossbow) or a long bow (long bow). It's hard to hit a moving enemy with a siege crossbow (barista), and it seems to have only my magic."

"Right. You gonna use that one?

"There's only one chance of that magic. We'll have to make an ambush."

"Fine. Permission granted. Lydia will use that magic just as well to stop me."

"What will Sharon do? I think the three of them work better," Liddy confirms.

"Sharon keeps warm. Not necessarily without other enemies coming. Besides, fire and wind don't go well with dragons," I answer on behalf of my father.

We weren't talking for much time, but the dragon was close enough to be visible to the naked eye.

"So long," he tells his father, going downstairs with Liddy.

Running all the way outside the castle, there were vigilantes with crossbows staring into the sky.

Enemies on the ground will be placed on the fence, but this time they will be based in the castle and surrounding air defense towers in order to concentrate their power.

"Surprise the enemy! Will's squad will follow me! Luke's squad follow Liddy's instructions!

I'm going to give you the cane that I had prepared while I said that.

This wand was written by the magical formation of Arklight made of Doctus, which taps into the magic of the maximum output in an ambush and attaches a piece at once.

Will and Luke's squads are thirty each. Liddy damages the wings of a dragon with a meteor rain of light attributes (meatier shower), and then I stab a stop with Lightning of Lucidus, the Light God's thunder.

In the first concept, Liddy decided to confine herself to the big storm of the wind attribute (Tempest), but considered compatibility by attribute, Liddy makes the meteor rain of the light attribute (Meatier Shower) available, while Sharon also makes the roar of the fire attribute Fire Dragon (Dragon Roar) available.

Lightning of Lucidus is a powerful single-attack magic, but because it mimics laser weapons, it takes a long time to activate and emits a strong light during further amplification, making it inherently difficult to use for surprise attacks.

As a result, I camouflage my magic with strong light while targeting a relatively weak wing skin membrane with meteorological rain (meatier shower) of the same light attribute.

The problem is dragon behavior.

It's coming straight at the moment, but it doesn't make sense to shoot a meteor rain (meatier shower) if you're not in range.

Also, even if they're headed straight for us, if they notice us waiting on the ground and attack us first, the ambush has to give up.

The longer the magic infusion is by the Magic Formation, the longer it will be. In the case of magic, which also varies depending on the amount of magic consumed and has a relatively high consumption, it takes more than a minute.

Also, Lightning of Lucidus, the lightning god's thunderbolt, needs more than a minute after activation because of the laser amplification.

You have to buy the last two minutes from a dragon that can move freely over the sky and attack at any time.

Thinking about it like that, it's a thankful miscalculation for us that the dragon came alone.

Even if the magic could be played like the Ashtal of the Magic General (Archdemon), there would be no damage if only the braces from above were placed in the castle.

Lockhart Castle is designed to withstand up to ten times the magic of my maximum output. In other words, even the greatest magic of more than a hundred magicians can withstand at their leisure.

I am proud to say that the dragon's brace is an iron wall against powerful but long-range attacks.

If the dragon comes down to the ground boiling his business that the attack from above does not reveal a light, then you should try a melee.

What I fear is a situation in which another demon strikes from the ground while the dragon is attacking from above. If that happens, we won't be able to defend ourselves on the defensive wall, and we'll be brought into a riot in Kanga Hill.

Further damage on the Lockhart family side becomes immense when dragons attack from above without adhering to the demons on earth.

Luke's squad, who received the cane, heads with Liddy to the air defense tower.

Because meatier showers are a form of descent from the enemy's sky, they are easier to aim high against flying enemies.

Liddy stands on the tower and the vigilantes send magic from inside the tower. Luke plans to turn to Liddy's defense with a large, Mithrill-made shield.

My squad is on the ground.

Beginning Will, everyone has a misrill-coated shield, hidden behind the castle. This is to keep the enemy from finding us while we're getting ready. Also, Lightning of Lucidus is a laser weapon, so you don't have to force yourself to climb the tower because shooting up from below won't make you lose your power.

"We'll be over there in a few minutes! This is an ultra-large, pitch-black dragon over 50m (melt) long!

A watch screams from the castle tower.

"We're ready, too," Beltram jocked, then began pulling the strings of the Siege Crossbow (Barista).

At first I was thinking about fixing the barista to the air defense tower and using it, but Beltram told me, "If we pull the string, we can shoot it somewhat faster," and turned it to the aid of Hector's archer unit.

Dwarves pull strings and take charge of the barista body. It's a division of labor where archers do their targeting.

Exactly because none of us can pull it alone, even though it's a Dwarf of Power, the three of us pull strings together. Originally it takes about two minutes to shoot to pull a string by two people using a winder, but if you hang it on a dwarf, it will take about twenty seconds.

Ten baristas are loaded with large steel arrows. Shooting horizontally is powerful enough to defeat even an orga in one blow, but the effect is unknown to shoot upwards. It's stronger if you say one way or another, it means you won't let your enemies target you.

When the preparations were over, a great shadow passed.

I hear "Big!" but it was big enough for me to think the same thing.

I'm talking about fifty meters in length, but I feel about twice as big. Close to the feeling of a double jet passenger plane going overhead at the airport.

Once, after passing over, it suspended (hovered) in the air over the south side of the castle.

A pitch-black body blocks the sun and creates a large black shadow. Distracted by its calamity, he whispers instructions to Will.

"I'll finish him off from here. Send me magic."

Will and the others set up their right-hand canes and sent their magic as they hoisted the shield up in their left hand.

Magic is sent in all at once, and the power is about to break out.

"God of light (Lucidus), who commands all the light of the world. Give me your spear, the power of thunder. I do not give my life to you..."

We will give the Spirits a vast amount of magic. The light began to overflow around me.

Liddy's magic is complete at just the right time, and the sky brightens all at once. Now my light should be deluded.

Immediately after I thought the light was stronger, the light flowed all at once.

"Yay! We got a hit! I hear someone say," but soon it turns into a discouraged voice called "Oh."

"Calm down! If you're an enemy that can defeat you to this extent, you won't have a hard time!

My grandfather's harsh voice sounds.

Did the dragon panic, winged about twice, but it floats loosely with just a few holes in the dermis.

The beltrams also show up and shoot in the barista they were loading, but they are bounced by the dragon scales and can't scratch one.

"You're so clever," the dragon mocks in his readings.

And unleashed a special brace on an impudent enemy who unleashed magic on himself.

An air defense tower with Liddy is wrapped in red lotus flames.

I almost screamed my name by accident, but I suppress it with the power of my will and gather the power of the Spirit. The light gets stronger, but the dragon is distracted by the air defense tower and hasn't noticed us.

This is as far as the operation goes.

When the Red Lotus Flame went out, the magic was complete. Turn your anger toward a giant torso and unleash magic.

"... give my enemies the hammer of God! Lightning of Lucidus!

A beam of light about ten centimeters in diameter stretches in an instant from my right hand.

A dazzling light that couldn't open his eyes hit him under the dragon's neck. But the dragon is floating loosely.

(Can this guy disable magic too... No, even Liddy's magic made a hole in the skin membrane. Not that I can completely deactivate it......)

Forced to contain feelings of despair and increase output even more.

Excessive magic runs through your body and you feel intense pain that burns your nerves. We can't afford to check, but we should probably be shredding our health (HP) as well.

It was worth it. Until then, the dragon that had floated slowly began to twist its body in agony.

"It's working!" The voice is encouraging.

Follow the dragon trying to escape, fine-tuning the angle.

You found me, 'It's you!' Thoughts like resentment strike my mind.

Strong hatred, nausea, but concentration of consciousness on the exercise of magic. Whether the effort worked, the beam of light penetrated the torso and slipped out into the sky.

"Yay!" I heard someone cheering. But still, he doesn't loosen his hand and keeps lasering at the falling dragon.

In about five seconds, the dragon crashed into a meadow near a training ground west of Kanga Hill.

That's where I stop the magic, too.

"You won..." he whines without thinking. I regret having to be a weird flag right after that.

I thought that just wouldn't happen, and I turned my face to Will, who is lying next to me.

"The dragon!" I turn my gaze back unexpectedly to the voice.

Despite about thirty centimetres of holes in his torso, the dragon slowly tried to get up. I still regret being flagged.

"We're all going to stab a stop!" The troops who were waiting on the ground in the words of my grandfather run out.

I followed that order and went for the dragon from behind the castle.

The dragon who noticed us opened his jaw wide and released his braces to the warriors of the Lockhart family approaching from the front. The grandfathers immediately throw their bodies on the ground and evade their braces.

But a few unlucky vigilantes got wrapped up in that red lotus flame.

"Ahhh!" I heard a short scream, "but soon fell to collapse.

The dragon stopped the brace and tried to stand up as he stomped on his limbs. But my magic damage fell in again.

"The magician attacks from left to right! The swordsman is at the front, followed by Noon! Watch out for braces and tail attacks!

My grandfather gives orders while running.

The dragon shook his head from a state of flanking, as if it were his last foot scratch, releasing the brace again. But can't you change direction from that state, the braces just fly in a straight line?

When his grandfather reaches the head of a dragon, he slaps an Adamantite sword wrapped with magic around its skull, five meters long and more than two meters wide.

"Gah...... me! 'The idea of a dragon echoes.

A hand-worked swordsman who said Mel or Byron Seedorf late to his grandfather swarms the dragon's head.

Dragons resist by twisting their bodies, but they cannot do damage to the Lockhart family elite.

In addition, Beatrice, Walt Vassel and other magicians arrive at the torso area and stick a spear between the sturdy scales to strengthen the bleeding.

I joined my grandfather, too, and when I wrapped my magic around Ulrich's famous sword, I stuck it in his defenseless throat.

Tough scales are not easily severed by wrapping magic around them. He pushed his sword deep as he tried to keep his weight feeling strong resistance.

"In this place I... will not end like this... I command you in my name... to wreak havoc on these men..."

The curse was uninterrupted and inaudible, but made me feel strong.

But there the dragon thought was interrupted.

"We've got the dragon!" Grandfather's declaration of victory echoes Kanga Hill.

I used a lot of magic power, but I still have more than half the amount of magic (MP) left. Worried health (HP) had also decreased by about 20%.

To be honest, I didn't think the operation would be so nicely decided.

The warriors of the Lockhart family are cheering around.

I was concerned about the cheapness of Liddy being shot in the brace, and I tried to head to the air defense tower without cheering with everyone.

At that time, I felt a strong force from behind.

Look back and see the dragon's body.

"The power of the Spirit will converge on the dragon! Get away from me once!

My grandfather said to me, "Back off!" and immediately reacts, "the elites of the Lockhart family retreat toward the castle.

The body of a dragon gathers so much spiritual power that I can see it.

I just want to shoot in the magic, but it could be a snake, and I just have to watch.

The dragon's body swoops out where the condition lasts for about ten seconds.

I thought you zombied, but soon I found out it was different. A pitch-black skeleton appeared from the dragon's body.

I heard "Dragontooth Soldier" Dragontooth Warrior "..." That was mine, but I was so shocked that I didn't realize what I said myself.
