Chapter 288: So a Celebrity Attends School Too
"I feel like I’m still dreaming."
Jasper Shaw suddenly said.
Chloe Sinclair looked puzzled. "Why do you say that?"
"Chloe is so amazing, I almost can’t believe she’s my girlfriend."
Chloe Sinclair froze for a moment, tilting her head to look at Jasper Shaw.
Beneath her thin bangs, her pair of dark eyes shimmered.
Then, a faint scent of lemon suddenly reached Jasper Shaw’s nose.
Looking down, he saw the young woman with her arms around his waist, her eyes fixed on him.
"Lower your head."
As if compelled, Jasper Shaw lowered his head.
Suddenly, he felt a fleeting warmth on his cheek that vanished before he could even react.
A flash of shock crossed Jasper Shaw’s face. He stared blankly at Chloe Sinclair, opening his mouth but failing to say a word.
Chloe Sinclair let out a soft laugh and stood on her tiptoes to pat Jasper Shaw’s shoulder. "Alright, go get some sleep. I have to go to class."
With that, she ran to the entryway, swapped into a pair of combat boots, and got ready to leave.
Jasper Shaw said, "Wait."
Chloe Sinclair turned back, a hint of confusion in her beautiful eyes.
Jasper Shaw suppressed his excitement and strode over in a few large steps. "It’s snowing outside. Don’t forget an umbrella."
Chloe Sinclair nodded and pulled a small, floral-patterned umbrella from the cabinet. "I’m leaving."
Jasper Shaw watched her slender figure disappear before closing the door and walking into her room.
The things inside were arranged neatly, and there weren’t many of them.
However, the floral bedsheets were piled high with all sorts of books, and there were even more under the bed. ’They must be from when Chloe was looking up research materials,’ he thought.
Jasper Shaw sighed softly, picked up a book, and dusted it off.
In the end, he couldn’t bring himself to sleep in Chloe Sinclair’s bed, so he sat on the small sofa to rest for a while instead.
Meanwhile, Chloe Sinclair arrived at school and happened to run into Nina Sinclair, who was also on her way to class.
Chloe Sinclair had assumed Nina Sinclair would be in a sorry state after being blacklisted, but seeing her looking radiant and dressed head-to-toe in designer brands, she knew Nina must have found another rich benefactor.
"Heh, look who it is. The great scientist still has to come to school?"
In private, Nina Sinclair couldn’t be bothered to keep up the act anymore.
She stared at Chloe Sinclair’s face, which was countless times more beautiful than before, and bit her lip so hard a vicious glint flashed in her eyes.
Chloe Sinclair’s expression remained unchanged. She simply tilted her head and retorted good-naturedly, "And here I thought big stars didn’t have to go to school either."
Nina Sinclair’s face changed, and she was about to lose her temper when the bell for class rang, interrupting her.
Bypassing Nina Sinclair, Chloe Sinclair entered the classroom.
The classroom was already packed, with some students even standing at the back—they were probably from other classes, auditing the lecture.
Everyone knew exactly where Chloe Sinclair’s seat was. Even though she often missed class, they always saved it for her, and today was no exception.
Chloe Sinclair sat down, placed her books on the desk, and looked up just in time to see Nina Sinclair walk in.
Their eyes met.
Nina Sinclair huffed and prepared to find a seat as far away from Chloe Sinclair as possible.
But when she looked up, she saw the classroom was packed to the gills, without an empty seat in sight.
Nina Sinclair: "..."
Her composure cracked, and she looked around awkwardly.
There wasn’t a single seat.
And no one was willing to get up and offer her one.
Nina Sinclair glanced at the male students around her, but their eyes were glued to their textbooks and the professor. When Chloe Sinclair had walked in, they hadn’t even given her a second glance.
