Chapter 77: Loads of rewards
Morden wanted to smile and say something more but when he felt the amount of Vital Energy he was about to take in at once, he immediately sat straight down.
The amount was almost equal to the once he got it during his first infusion which means it was about to be hella painful. Though his body was much stronger than the first infusion, Morden knew it just couldn’t enter like that without any paint.
So he sat down and immediately got ready for what was about to come.
He could feel more and more Vital Energy pooling in his body, extremely close to flooding in.
After the accumulation reached a certain level, it finally popped.
The accumulated Vital Energy rushed through his body like hungry lions that have been released from their cages. They were all headed towards that particular place; his Genetic Tree.
Morden was almost sure he felt his Genetic Tree preparing for the influx too as he observed it pulsating slightly.
After a little bit longer was spent ravaging his body, the first bit of vital energy finally arrived in his body core. Without a moment of delay it dove into the tree dragging the others with it
With that Morden felt the massive amount of Vital energy enter his tree followed by more parts of the tree growing more visible and obvious.
It continued like that until the last bit of vital energy was finally absorbed by the tree. Without any extra scrutiny it was extremely obvious that he had made progress.
In fact he had made so much progress that it was difficult to say that these two trees belonged to the same person. It was just that crazy.
And despite that he had finished absorbing the Vital Energy, growth wasn’t done
The Genetic tree that had been quiet ever since it devoured so much was now reacting again, Morden watched as the Genetic tree began pulsating lightly, with every pulse, a mild and gentle vital Energy was being released.
This energy was different from the first kind, it wasn’t destructive in any way. Instead it was constructive.
After every wave Morden felt an increase in strength, his muscles tightened and his bone popped with every micro movement.
It felt both peaceful and beautiful and the best part was that it was slowly getting stronger.
That process continued one for what Morden believed to be thirty minutes before everything calmed back down into a tranquil equilibrium state.
"Damnn, I feel so much stronger," Morden said while clenching his fist and releasing it. He could feel his new burst of strength.
"I should try to check my stats to see how much it has changed,"

Morden stared at the status screen in front of him with an excited face, the changes on his screen didn’t fail to amaze him. It even felt like a dream.
"My stats have almost doubled and my gene shards have multiplied by almost 40,"
"Though I don’t really know where this is, the increase I have gotten in my stats is enough to make me want to come here again,"
After the exciting thoughts slowly left his mind, he was left with a short moment of silence before the sad thoughts came flooding in.
"If only I was this strong then, things might have turned out much different than they actually did,"
"You both might still be alive,"
Wooohooo hahaha!!!!!!!!
He suddenly heard the sound of monkey chatters snapping him out of his thoughts. He opened his eyes to look at his surroundings and the sight in front of him shocked him greatly.
In front of Morden was the whole group of monkeys, from the young ones to the more mature and even the stern looking Uncommon-grade ones were there too.
"What the hell" he cursed out of shock.
He wasn’t just surrounded but everyone there was looking at him with a strange smiling and happy face.
"You guys know this looks extremely creepy right?" Morden said when he suddenly noticed the crowd parting open on one side of Circle.
He was just about to ask what that meant when he saw the Monkey leader approaching with its bruised body.It stopped a few meters away from Morden before suddenly gesturing at him to come over.
"He won’t be taking me to that pile of corpses again would he,"
Though he doubted the leaders motives, he still stood up and began approaching the leader and the group parted even further in response.
The Monkey didn’t attempt to communicate with Morden; he just started moving in a direction Morden had never gone before.
The two of them slowly began moving deeper and deeper into the forest with Morden slowly having other thoughts.
’Is he planning to go silence me after seeing what happened with the Heavenly Leader,’
’But I am not a threat, I think I need to make that clear,’
Morden opened his mouth ready to explain when he suddenly saw a cave in the distance and something about that cave attracted him immediately.
They soon arrived at the cave entrance and the moment he took a step in, he felt something inside him react, his Genetic tree or more specifically his Boost gene.
He looked at the Monkey leader with a questioning gaze but the only response he received was a nod.
As they walked deeper into the caves, Morden felt himself slowly feeling at peace. Like he actually belonged here. The feeling lasted until they got into an expanded area.
Where a glowing blue crystal rested on the rock. The leader walked towards the Crystal, picked it up to hand it to Morden.
