A strange smile tugged on Morden’s lips as he thought of the multiple possibilities.

"I have to find them," Morden muttered while charging in the direction the roar came from.

Though he wasn’t actually totally sure of the exact location, he could get a faint idea from the roar, and it was almost certainly coming from the heavenly side, which was like a really fun location for Morden. It looked dangerous at first sight, but the leaders were fighting there, so it must surely be temporarily safe.

While he attracted quite a lot of attention, especially from the low-level Heavenly Monkeys. Every chance they got they would turn their bows straight at him and fire a few shots.

Morden was successful in dodging most of them, but it was still extremely distracting and annoying.

"These guys must really hate me,"

Despite all the distractions, Mordenn still preserved and followed his path as best he could; in the end, he managed to leave the range of the low-level monkeys and was in more freer territory.

Every once in a while, he would stop to listen to the sound of battle before continuing.

"I should be getting there soon," he muttered.

And just like he predicted, he finally caught sight of the two leaders fighting in the distance, and they were actually on the heavenly side.

"That seems intense."

From his current location, Morden could feel the shock waves from their battle; every clash sent a ripple through the air.

"That doesn’t seem like a fight I can join."

"I better just stay here and be obvious for a while."

Morden wasn’t delusional; he knew his own capabilities and what he could handle and that the sight in front of him was definitely not a part of it.

Since he was keeping his distance, it gave Morden a chance to actually observe the two of them as clearly as possible a lot. The book way they battled wasn’t anything short of amazing.

Some parts of his actions even exceeded Morden’s limit of understanding, which meant they were using an ability he didn’t know existed.

The Heavenly Monkey Leader was Welding something he could only refer to as a battle axe; it had a long wooden handle, while the head was made from sharpened rock.

Might be due to his weapon, but Morden noticed the Heavenly Monkey Leader had a more primitive and unrefined battle style. He just kept swinging this axe all around and hoping it would land.

Morden actually couldn’t say anything about that style since it was actually effective; if a single one of his axe swings actually landed, the Abyssal Monkey leader was done for.

The Abyssal Monkey leader, on the other hand, had a more refined style. He seemed to be using his Abilities in every situation, allowing him to dodge even attacks that were extremely close to hitting.

"He looks extremely beautiful."

Though he had a more direct style of fighting, Morden still admired Elusiveness, and this Leader was the embodiment of that right now.

He wasn’t his Elusive; he was also sneaking a large amount of Small blows any chance he got. Morden was extremely sure that if the Abyssal leader could continue like that, he would eventually win.

Sadly, things didn’t always go according to plan in situations like this; something almost certainly went wrong, and it eventually did.

The Abyssal leader made a mistake, and it was just too late to correct.

The able axe connected, though not too deeply; it was enough to create a lot of problems. The axe had hit him on the knee, a body part that was extremely important to keep his elusiveness perfect.

Though he was injured, the Abyssal leader still kept on fighting, but that deficit was bound to show itself, and it actually did. Some attacks grew harder to dodge, and small injuries started accumulating.

"If it continues this way, the Abyssal leader will die and the war will be lost."

"I need to do something." Urgency gripped Morden in that instant.

He stood there and thought for a while before suddenly bursting into reality; he started running, he was just not running towards the battle; he was running away from it.

Or better said, he was running back to the bigger battlefield.

He had used boost a total of two times since the battle had started, and now he used it for the third time.

[Speed +20(temp.)]

That massive increase in speed helped Morden move so fast he became a blur, and even when the boost ended, momentum was Still maintained.

Soon, he arrived at the battlefield again, and his eyes immediately scanned everywhere in the surrounding area. And then he spotted it: one throwing spear.

He had snuck into the battlefield so he wasn’t noticed; he rushed forward, grabbed the spear, and then turned around to return to the small-scale battle.

He ran for a bit and decided it was time to use boost again.

[Speed +20 (Temp.)]

About three minutes later, the battlefield was in sight again.

The injuries on the Abyssal leader had increased, and it was harder for it to dodge cleanly.

He got to his previous waiting spot, but he didn’t stop at all; he just ran straight ahead, getting closer and closer, but his intention wasn’t to join the battle itself; it was to get close enough.

When he finally arrived where he believed to be the perfect location, he stopped to get ready. His perfect position was directly behind the Heavenly Lord and slightly elevated.

He did one final scan before getting into position.

He placed one leg backward and arched his back, keeping the arm holding the spear only slightly angled, he had the exact same pose that time when they were fighting those Magpies but this time he was adding something else: the technique he just learned.

’It should absolutely work,’

He slowly began moving his arm forward at an initially slow speed up until he reached a terminal point.

[Strength +20 (Temp.)]

With that massive increase, he let go of the spear, almost certain that it would hit and eventually kill the leader.

But then, something moved.

The Heavenly leader moved its head, and now the spear was heading straight for the Abyssal leader.

"Ohhh shit."
