Chapter 450: The Serums’ Distribution
As expected, the moment that the mutation serums were released, things heated up. First of all, all those that underwent the mutation serum injection, successfully became mutants.
Of course, this was something that was publicized. Even the serum injection itself was aired through various channels, allowing people to be able to watch.
Nonetheless, there was a priority for family members of those that were undergoing the serum injection. So, they were able to specifically see the video of their loved ones undergoing the mutation serum injection.
With the end of the mutation serum injection, it was verified worldwide that the mutation serum did not pose any danger to the lives of those injected with.
Because of this, some of the doubts that the public initially had were immediately erased. Instead, anticipation grew in the hearts of the others that had not been lucky to be selected.
Therefore, they began asking about the next batch of mutation serums. They were impatiently asking when those nutrition serums would be released.
At the same time, some people felt resentful, especially when those that had newly become mutants were allowed to display their abilities in public.
Seeing others who were just ordinary like them suddenly becoming superhumans, some people could not accept it. That was especially if they had some form of enmity with those that had become mutants.
Unfortunately for them, they could only feel resentful in their hearts, but they dared not vent or speak out. After all, an example had already been made in the past few days out of several people that had tried to act out.
And, if someone committed serious crimes, they would actually be executed on the spot. Even though none of the methods used for execution were brutal, but it had already sent chills down the spines of many.
As expected, the public execution of people was something that was publicly condemned by many. But eventually, the alliance gave a response, if they did not want something like that to happen, then they had to follow the rules.
Because of this, for the past few days, peace and order had reigned all over the world. Even if there were some chaos, they were done in the dark.
After the first batch of mutants, they were all registered. Then, the alliance established new rules that focused on the mutants.
The first rule was that, mutants were not allowed to recklessly use their abilities. Additionally, any mutant that would be caught or reported to have acted against ordinary humans, and evidence provided, they would face punishment.
Depending on the severity of their actions, the punishment could go as far as their execution. Therefore, for quite a while, most of the new mutants were intimidated.
The business sector seemed to have come to a standstill, as almost everyone was focused on issues related to mutants.
Of course, this did not imply that life did not go on. It was just that, most of the enthusiasm was shifted towards the future of the world with mutants.
Michael did not care much about the changes that might have been brought about by the appearance of so many mutants. Instead, he just focused on those that he cared about.
Having already made an arrangement in advance, after some quick calculations and decisions, he supplied several people with mutation serums.
As he had previously planned, quite a number of people got grade A mutation serums, which was the same grade of mutation serums that was released for the public.
As for grade S mutation serums, they were completely restricted. Only members of the Global Security Force could use those mutation serums.
As for those that were previously mutants, especially with low level abilities, the alliance was still doing its own research. They were trying to find if it was possible to be able to allow them to be able to change abilities, to get high grade ones.
They came to consult Michael about it, but Michael told them that he did not have a solution to that. After all, even he himself did not have the ability to be able to change an ability that he possessed, and replace it with another.
As for allowing them to be able to gain several abilities like himself, that was almost impossible. After all, there was requirement, which would enable the body to be able to adapt to the abilities, before allowing it to be able to gain another.
First of all, the person had to train intensely, until their physical body reached the maximum limit. Only after they reached the maximum limit of human beings, would they be able to take the evolution serum.
With that, it would finally be possible for them to be able to do the same thing as what Michael was currently doing.
Michael was already planning this for Kate. With the rapid adaptation ability that she possessed, her body would definitely be able to reach the maximum limit of the human genes.
By then, she could use the evolution serum to be able to break the genetic lock, to remove the limitations.
Of course, some of the abilities would allow people to be able to possess abilities that were way beyond what were considered as the human limits. But, most of the abilities were focused on a particular dimension.
But it was completely different for the rapid adaptation ability. It allowed the body to be able to develop fully, as long as someone trained.
It was almost the same concept applied when Michael acquired several combat skills at the expert level. Those skills enabled him to be able to push his body to the limit.
But the evolution serum was completely different from those abilities gained through the mutation serums. At least, it would allow the body to be able to evolve deeply, not just in terms of the physical attributes.
Another thing, the requirement for the evolution serum was for the body to have reached the human limits. As for how that person achieved it, that was not important.
Michael estimated that in at most 3 days, Kate would be able to take the evolution serum. Of course, if not the Time-field Acceleration Core installed in the training chamber, it would have taken a lot more time, at least 30 times more.
Back to the issue regarding the distribution of the mutation serums, Michael had only given out grade SS abilities.
One of them was given to Kate’s mother, Olivia. The other one was given to Alex, Raymond, and Dalton. These three, they were the ones that were close to him in the entire group of Alex’s friends.
Then, there was Charles, kids grandfather. Michael gave him the grade SS mutation serum simply because the old man had given him a villa as a gift. Even though Michael had already done the Morgan family a lot, but Michael still remembered the gift given to him.
Of course, the old couple, John and Rebecca, also got grade SS mutation serums. Following them were Victor, Bernard Morris, nicknamed Beetle from the bloody cage fighting arena in Brenton city, Anna, Abel, Marion, the three from the Wilson family, Henry Santos, and Matthew Santos, the old man of the Santos family.
Then, there was another long group of people that got the grade S abilities. But one thing was common about them, they had good character, and had a good relationship with Michael.
But, some of them were not that close to Michael. That included someone like Susan, who was Kate’s best friend, and Jessica Gibson, who was part of Alex’s group.
Of course someone like Carol, she also received a grade S mutation serum. Michael didn’t think that they were that close for him to give her a grade S serum.
Michael understood the implications of his actions. With many people possessing such a strong abilities, with some of them even being stronger than the strongest enforcers, it could easily lead to problems.
So, he decided to give everyone a warning. If someone misbehaved, and used their abilities for something considered illegal, Michael would be the one to administer the punishment.
As for the punishment, it would be the removal of the ability that they had. While Michael could not allow others to be able to lose an ability, in order to be able to gain another one, there were other methods that could be used to remove someone’s ability.
The reason why he did not give these methods to the alliance was simply because they had backlashes. Some of them could even lead to someone losing their lives, or they might not be able to get another ability in their lives.
It was because of this, and after Michael had explained it while giving out the mutation serums, that everyone was intimidated. They understood, they could not mess up.
During the time that he was giving out the mutation serums, of course, he did not mention anything about the grade of the mutation serums. Even the alliance had never mentioned anything about it.
Because of this, after the administration of the mutation serums, realizing the ability is that they had, which was what they wanted, they noticed something. That was, some of them had stronger abilities as compared to others with the same type of ability.
As for the explanation to this, Michael simply said that it was related to the person and their own genes. People with stronger genes would be able to unleash much more power as compared to the others.
Michael did not care if everyone believed what he had said or not. In any case, he had already given his explanation.
And, just 2 days later, it was time for Michael to give Kate the evolution serum.
