The siblings found out that despite the person’s calm and easy going persona, he was incredibly strict when it came to training them.

He was no less strict than Xiao Jingran.

After they were done with the teaching session, they felt as though they had been run over by a carriage, absolutely sore all over.

At this moment, they desperately wanted to drink the spring water from their mother. Alas, they also still needed to wait for a while until Zhou Anran woke up.

They had forgotten to ask Zhou Anran for more before the martial art instructor came. By the time they wanted to drink it, their water pouches were already empty.

"I will excuse myself, Second Young Master, Eldest Miss. I hope you had a great day," the person smiled before he left.

Xiao Yuxi rolled her eyes, and she told him before he left. "Send my regards to your superior!"

It was unknown which one she was referring to, Xiao Yuanwei or Han Tingxun.

However, the person still nodded before he disappeared behind the gates of their house.

The pair of siblings sat on a chair under a tree, sighing to themselves. They drank a cup of water, and stared at each other.

"Do you think this person might be sent by our father, Second Brother?" Xiao Yuxi asked, feeling suspicious. "Shall we tell Eldest Brother?"

Their new martial art instructor was quite strict. When Xiao Yuxi asked whether it was Xiao Yuanwei who had sent him, he didn’t answer, merely smiled before he began the hellish training.

He was much more strict than the previous teacher.

This person seemed to already know that they possessed decent martial art skills, and thus, improved their training method directly to a harder one.

Xiao Fenghao nodded. "Our father might have recovered his memories slowly..."

He snorted. "That old man had nothing better to do besides torturing us and sending this smiling tiger to train us."

Although he sounded like he was complaining, Xiao Yuxi knew that her second brother didn’t actually mind about it.

Whenever they were around Zhou Anran, they also never showed that they knew about Xiao Yuanwei’s real identity; they never mentioned or touched upon the topic to her.

Xiao Yuxi suddenly gripped her second brother’s arm tightly, startling the latter. Her expression was incredibly serious.

"Second Brother, what if this is Father’s attempt to reconcile with us? He should already have noticed that Mother deliberately ignored him, right?" Xiao Yuxi muttered, eagerly waiting for his response.

Xiao Fenghao let out a snort. "Isn’t it easy? We just need to follow Mother’s wishes. If she doesn’t want to reconcile, then don’t!"

"That old man might already have many women around him. Do you believe in such a man?" His tone was slightly bitter when he said this; he hadn’t considered whether his accusation was unjust or not.

In another place, Xiao Yuanwei who was sitting in his lonely chair in his study suddenly sneezed.

A guard suddenly appeared beside him. "Master, do you want me to order the kitchen to make something hot for you?"

He was worried that Xiao Yuanwei’s illness would relapse again.

Xiao Yuanwei touched his own nose, wondering who was talking about him. Was it his enemies or his wife and children...?

Upon hearing the guard’s question, he nodded. The guard disappeared from his spot in a flash.

After returning from Mo Chen’s place, he found out that his mind had become much more clear than ever. He wondered whether it was the effect of the incense in Mo Chen’s place.

If it had such a miraculous effect, it seemed that he should go to his place a few more times just to catch a whiff of it...

However, he also found another problem.

Once he arrived at his study, he remembered what he did to Zhou Anran the first time they met each other.

He had actually made her bait to catch Sun Daniu... his breathing almost stopped and he subconsciously clutched the armrest tighter.

"Is that why she doesn’t want to recognize me...?" He muttered absent-mindedly.

Not long after, the guard returned with a tray of hot tea. He left after he had done his job, because Xiao Yuanwei suddenly signalled for him to leave the room.

As soon as the guard left, there was another knock.

"Master, this is..." it was Xiao Fenghao and Xiao Yuxi’s new instructor who had come to report.

Xiao Yuanwei immediately ordered, "Enter."

The next day, the Xiao family waited anxiously at home. Mo Chen would visit soon, and they could finally ask him about Xiao Yuyan’s whereabouts.

"Master Mo, please enter," Xiao Yuxu had been waiting by the gates all morning after she was done helping her mother and aunt in the kitchen.

She hurriedly opened the gate and greeted Mo Chen the moment she saw him.

"Please, this way," she said as she led him toward the house.

In the living room, it was lively since everyone had gathered. Xiao Qingya looked up the moment she heard footsteps.

Her master’s aloof countenance immediately entered her line of sight, and she jumped toward him, followed by Xiao Xue who instinctively trailed behind her after it was startled awake.

"Little Ya." Mo Chen’s expression suddenly softened, and he ruffled her hair fondly.

Xiao Qingya impatiently grabbed his arm and led him toward an empty seat. She went back to her own seat after that and couldn’t wait to hear what he was going to say about her second sister’s whereabouts.

Everyone was also in a tense situation, but they didn’t rush him to immediately tell them about Xiao Yuyan.

Physician Bai surely had told him what had happened, and with his ability, he might also already guessed what they wanted.

"Master Mo, please try out the refreshment first," Zhou Wenzhi motioned to the food and tea on the table. "It must have been a lot of trouble for you to visit us."

Mo Chen shook his head, and he didn’t try to taste anything on the table before he went straight to the point and told them something.
