Chapter 143: Frozen World Severance Skill

The Thunder Dragon continued forward and tore through the enemies behind the first zombie.

Lightning exploded across the ground in its wake, throwing several bodies away as the violent electrical force ripped through them.

Ron finally came to a stop farther ahead.

The bluish-white Lightning wrapped around his body gradually weakened, but his attention remained fixed on the destruction he had caused.

For several seconds, he simply stared.

"...Holy shit."

Cain couldn’t help chuckling.

"Idiot."

Still, even he had to admit that the attack was impressive.

Ron had always possessed ridiculous speed, but that had also been his greatest limitation.

He could reach an enemy before most people could react, yet speed alone could only carry him so far against stronger opponents.

That weakness was disappearing.

With his Divine Lightning Body and the spear in his hand, Ron finally possessed destructive power capable of keeping up with his movement speed.

Before Cain could continue watching him, an intense wave of heat swept across another section of the battlefield.

His gaze shifted as he noticed that Sonya had entered the fight.

A crimson-gold sphere rose above her head.

Her first awakened Sun.

The moment it manifested, the temperature around her surged.

Several Zombie Race soldiers advancing in her direction instinctively slowed as the heat washed over them.

Even from a distance, Cain could immediately tell that the flames surrounding the Sun were nothing like Sonya’s previous Fire Mana.

There was something far denser within them.

A quality that made the surrounding Fire Mana feel almost insignificant in comparison.

Sonya raised one hand.

Fire Mana gathered above her palm and began compressing.

The flames grew brighter as more energy was forced into the same space, gradually forming a dense sphere.

An Inferno Star.

It was not particularly large, yet the heat radiating from it was enough to scorch the black-gray ground beneath Sonya before she had even released it.

Her eyes settled on the approaching soldiers.

Then she threw it.

The miniature star shot across the battlefield.

One zombie noticed the danger and immediately threw itself aside.

Sonya closed her hand.

BOOM!

The Inferno Star detonated.

Compressed Fire Mana erupted violently from the center.

The nearest zombie disappeared inside the explosion, while those farther away were thrown from their feet as crimson flames swept across the surrounding area.

A scorched figure suddenly emerged from the Fire.

Most of its upper body had already turned black, but the vitality of a 1st Echelon Zombie Race soldier allowed it to continue moving.

It charged toward Sonya.

She did not retreat as her gaze moved upward instead.

The Sun above her brightened.

Solar Fire rapidly gathered along its surface.

The surrounding air distorted from the rising temperature until the zombie rushing toward her became difficult to see clearly.

Sonya extended one hand as she used her (Solar Flare) skill.

The accumulated Solar Fire erupted from the manifested Sun.

A concentrated stream of crimson-gold energy crossed the battlefield.

The burned zombie disappeared within it.

The attack continued farther and struck another soldier behind the first.

Its body was swallowed before it could properly defend itself.

When the Solar Flare finally ended, the ground along its path had turned red from the heat.

Sonya slowly lowered her arm.

The Sun above her remained manifested, although its brilliance had noticeably weakened after releasing such an enormous amount of energy.

She looked toward the destruction ahead, then she glanced at her own hand.

A smile gradually appeared on her face.

"Okay..."

She looked back at the scorched battlefield.

"I really like this."

Cain could understand why.

Not long ago, Sonya’s strongest attack had been little more than an ordinary Fireball.

Now she had a miniature Sun floating above her head.

The difference was almost ridiculous.

Before the heat around Sonya could fully disperse, the temperature across another section of the battlefield suddenly dropped.

Steam rose where the spreading cold reached the lingering Fire.

Cain turned toward Elara.

The silver crown resting upon her head had begun glowing.

Pale-blue light flowed from it as Absolute Winter spread around her.

Frost rapidly covered the black-gray ground.

Several Zombie Race soldiers rushing toward Elara slowed as Ice began forming around their feet.

The cold did more than restrict their movement.

Ice Mana seeped into the area around them, interfering with the Mana circulating through their bodies and making every movement increasingly difficult.

Elara remained calm.

The cold wind swept through her silver hair while a pale halo formed behind her.

Saint’s Frost Halo rotated slowly, continuously drawing in the surrounding Mana.

Elara drew her sword.

Unlike Ron, she showed no intention of rushing into the enemy formation as there was no need for it.

Her eyes moved across the approaching soldiers.

Fracture Sight revealed the weaknesses hidden beneath their defenses.

One zombie reached her first, its sword descended toward her shoulder.

Elara shifted half a step aside.

The weapon passed beside her.

Elara then swung her sword swiftly.

The zombie’s sword hand separated at the wrist.

Before it could recover, pale-blue Ice spread from the wound and climbed farther up its arm.

Elara stepped closer as she stabbed her sword to its throat.

The zombie collapsed.

More of them were already approaching.

Elara looked beyond the nearest ones and noticed how several had gathered along the same path.

Her grip tightened slightly, the halo behind her brightened.

A tremendous amount of Ice Mana gathered around the sword.

Cain immediately recognized the change as Elara finally used her strongest skill— Frozen World Severance.

The surrounding temperature fell even further.

A thin layer of frost spread across nearby armor before Elara finally swung.

A pale-blue sword force tore through the battlefield.

The wave of Ice Mana reached the approaching soldiers first, their weapons immediately froze over.

The armor covering their bodies became brittle under the extreme cold.

Then the sword force struck.

Shhk!

It passed through the entire line.

Several zombies instantly stopped moving.

Their bodies remained upright for a brief moment before the severed sections finally separated.

Frozen pieces crashed onto the white ground and broke apart.

Elara lowered her sword.

The pale halo behind her continued rotating as cold Mana remained concentrated around her.

Cain looked at the result with obvious satisfaction.

"Not bad."
