Kuro no Maou

Episode 40: The Showdown - Goldrun Hill

On the seventh day of the Far Thunder Moon, the Crusaders, ready for a second offensive operation, finally left Virginia.

Fifteen thousand elite legions selected by Cardinal Ars are led by Saliel across the pure white Heavenly Horse (Pegasus).

The Crusaders laid formations in a scenic hilly area, called the Goldran Hill.

In the last invasion, we encountered the Daedalus army on this hill and suffered a great defeat, but there is no better place than here to deploy a large army of 15,000 to full use.

The opposing Daedalus army was of the same mind and, as it was last time, defined this hilly area as a showdown ground, which maximizes the manoeuvrable power of its own forces.

Thus, the Crusaders and the Daedalus armies, without any indication of one another, were to be relative in the hills of the Goldran.

Line up the two and become a one-touch stare.

- I entrust you with command, Archbishop Luchrome.

Life descends from Saliel, more than on the horse of the crossed pure white Pegasus.

"Yes, I accept"

I bowed my head respectfully, Luchrome, whose beauty has no tension leading the great army of fifteen thousand, and I see no fear of the battle that is about to begin again, just a calm look on my face.

"After you, please"

"Yes, please, I'll take care of it"

After all that exchange, Saliel advanced Pegasus' steps to the front row of the soldiers.

Pegasus, with Saliel on board, progresses as the great spear stands like a forest.

The soldiers watch breathlessly at the appearance of a poor girl roughly unfit for the battlefield.

He made his way to the front row in no time, but kept walking further.

Behind that step, Maxwell, dressed in a combat coat and armed with a giant mace, followed.

On its back there is a white coffin of a size that is still larger than his big back.

But Maxwell stretched his spine and walked behind Saliel with dignity, to the point of not making him feel the weight of the coffin he carried.

Sariel and Maxwell, who were about a few dozen steps ahead of the front row of soldiers, see in front of them the sight of a legion of black demons lined up like walls.

Saliel didn't even look timid at the way it looked, and opened her little mouth to whine, as usual.

"An army of demons..."

The fine words of Saliel were heard, but they did not leak a word to all the more than 35,000 men in the midst of the two armies here.

"Our white God is generous.

But the evil dragon king, who leads the devil, must be convicted with death.

If we take the neck of the evil dragon on this occasion and vow to obey God, God will grant forgiveness, even if it belongs to the devil "

At the same time as I finished saying it, a strong gust of wind broke out on the hills of Goldran.

"I am the Dragon King Garvinal of Daedalus"

From the sky, a pitch-black dragon descends, leading a number of flying dragons.

The giant body, about forty meters tall, which was also large in the dragon, descended into the earth with two tough legs.

Dark wings spread on the back reminiscent of the crescent night sky, with thick, long tails like serpents hitting the ground.

To its overwhelming beauty, the soldiers of the Crusades breathed, and the survival of their participation in the last battle brought back memories of their abominable tragic defeat, all of which led them to fall on the spot.

"Stupid, pathetic man who worships the white god, whose words that fool us are unforgivable"

The atmosphere is accompanied by such a roar that a tremendous amount of magic converges in Garvinal's mouth.

"Doom, man"

Dragon Breath, an inherent magic (extra) proud of the Dragon Clan, is immensely destructive.

A running stream of light emitting a red and black disastrous glow heads straight for Saliel.

"- Light Winged S.H.I.E.L.D. (Aralux Aigis)"

At the moment when he was drunk by a viciously shining light, Maxwell saw Saliel surrounded by angelic white wings painted by paintings.

Zuzun...

With the roar, the black smoke that rises and closes the surrounding area.

Soon a little wind will blow, scattering smoke.

Beyond that, there was Saliel, dressed in a white glow, nestled unchanged as before.

"... I'm coming"

As always, the dialogue uttered with a small whining voice, but protected and intact by Sariel's defensive magic, Maxwell responded forcefully and lowered the huge coffin he carried to the ground.

"My lord, good luck!

Sariel nods and hands down to the coffin.

"'Armed Scripture' Liberation -"

At that moment, the coffin is scattered in light.

Out from within is a long white spear mimicking the cross, the symbol of God.

"-" Holy Cross Spear (Grand Cross) ""

Two and no magic weapons that can only be handled by the Apostle, that is the 'Armed Scripture'.

And the fact that its armed scriptures are spears showed that Saliel is not a magician and that his true class is the Holy Knight (Paladin) who deals with spears.

The Seventh Apostle Saliel flew Pegasus toward Garvinal, the Dragon King, with a pure white long spear/Holy Cross spear in his hand.

"Wow, wow!!

The roar of Garvinal, which rocks heaven and earth, signals the opening of the war.

Following Saliel, who cuts ahead, the Crusaders 15,000 advance.

In contrast, 20,000 Daedalus troops begin their assault in response to the roar of the Black Dragon King Garvinal.

Here, the curtain of the tournament battle, in which the Crusaders and the Daedalus clash head-on, was cut and dropped.
